No offense, but that is just a really wormy way of dealing with things. It's far more appropriate to do these things either on the phone or in person, never through MSN or an email. Otherwise things can get really misinterpreted and the problem inevitably gets worse through a misunderstanding. Well I've broke up with my last gf over msn and it was so so so much easier than in real life/phone ; no noise, tears etc .. so I can just give advise from past personal experience .. Also he doesn't seem to like this 'friend' in which case who cares about the method of telling him. Another thing is writing things down for this 'friend' may be easier to understand for him because he can re-read it etc.

There was a guy being beaten up outside our house my mum saw him from the window, so she opened the door, he ran in and the attackers fled thankfully, the police came 2-3minutes later and took statements off us all and hopefully they'll catch the yobs. Anyway I have utmost respect for the police service.

And you'd be the first person to complain if you was being beaten up and no one came to help. But really you know the law and you broke it hence consequences. I thought they taught that school at kinder garden :-k
