HELP ME OUT HERE PLEASE! JUST 4 QUESTIONS! DO NOT DO RESEARCH BEFORE YOU ANSWER!!! just from your previous knowledge only please!(ex. know it from news or school or whatever. not the last minute research)

ok...so the purpose of this poll is to know how many people that live in the world know about the following questions:

1. Why did America invade Afghanistan in 2002?

2. Why did America invade Iraq in 2003?

3. Who is the U.S. military fighting in Iraq today?

4. Who is Osama Bin Laden?(exact heading. EX: you can't write he is a guy, or he is a man or stuff like that)

those 4 questions.....they might be kinda stupid but i dont make up the assignment. so please answer them in following form:

Age(doesn't has to be exact, for example: 10-20, 20-30, 30-40 etc etc will be good):

Answer:

Do you watch a lot of news:

ok, so there it is. the right answers ill give out after i got the 10+ people. thank you very much for answering and I'll be waiting. :anxious:

ok..im done with the poll thanks everyone!

this is the offical answer...(however i think US is in Iraq for oil not WMDs since they found none)

1. The Talibans, gov of Afghanistan who refuse to give up Bin Laden after 9/11, Taliban are not Afghani, they invaded in 1994-2003, ruthless and cruel, fundamentalist.

2. Saddam Hussein, Leader of IraQ was believed to have illegal WMDs.

3. The US army is currently fighting the Saddam supporters and the terrorists (but got into a civil war somehow...)

4. Terrist Leader of Al-Qaeda

Really odd poll...

1. Because the government of Afghanistan, under the control of an extremist religious group known as the Taliban, was hiding Osama Bin Laden from international authority. It's also worth nothing that America did not invade alone, the Coalition invaded Afghanistan.

2. There are many different speculations, but let's leave it at "nobody really knows." Saddam Hussein was a supporter of Al Queda, and has been known to have WMD's in the past, so I guess a pre-emptive strike was made.

3. The U.S. Military and remaining Coalition forces are fighting insurgents who are being recruited and trained not only by Al Queda, but by radicals from Iran and other nations. The insurgents are fighting both Coalition Forces and all Iraqis who do not support them.

4. Osama Bin Laden is the leader of the terrorist group known as Al Queda, which is a branch of the militant Islamic extremists. He has claimed responsibility for the bombing of the USS Cole, attempted bombing of the WTC in 1993, the destruction of the WTC in 2001, the bombings of Madrid and London, in addition to many other attacks by terrorist groups worldwide. There is speculation as to if Bin Laden is alive, or was killed by US bombings and if there is a body double who has replaced him as the figurehead of Al Queda.

Age: 20-30

1. Why did America invade Afghanistan in 2002? Because Afghanistan was controlled by a violent group of people known as the Taliban. The taliban was a threat to America; therefore, the US attempted to stop the spread of Taliban influence.

2. Why did America invade Iraq in 2003? Because they had information (some of it false) that Iraq had WMDs. They also were convinced that Saddam Hussein was funding terrorism.

3. Who is the U.S. military fighting in Iraq today? They are fighting the extremists who are trying to come to power. They are imposing democracy on Iraq and ensuring that the "best" candidate is chosen.

4. Who is Osama Bin Laden?(exact heading. EX: you can't write he is a guy, or he is a man or stuff like that) He is the man behind the 9/11 attacks that has so far eluded our superior military

age: 10-20

1. To destroy al-Queda training camps and try to capture Bin Laden, who was being hidden by the Taliban government.

2. The presidents main support was that they claimed Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, and it was an opportunity to overthrow a dictator.

3. The military is fighting insurgents and the Shia militia. They first targeted the coalition, but later the government.

4. Bin Laden is an Islamic militant who claimed responsibility for the September 11th attacks and the U.S. embassy bombings. (1989?)

DISCLAIMER: Read the warning in my signature. These views are not representative of Tip.It in anyway!

Well, I don't see why asking people on the Internet or in the Real Life would make any real difference. In fact, it's actually probably better due to the fact you get a much wider demographic...

1. Why did America invade Afghanistan in 2002?

Following the unprecedented attacks on the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and the attempted attack on the White House (or Camp David, the plane was shot down en route anyway) on 9/11, George Bush declared his War on Terror. His first phase of this was the destruction of the Taliban, who mostly resided in Afghanistan. Hence the invasion.

2. Why did America invade Iraq in 2003?

Oil... (Joking)

The removal of weapons of mass destruction, the removal of an evil tyrant, to enforce their pro-Democratic principles on the rest of the world and to remove any sort of terrorist breeding grounds within and around Iraq. Of course, if I was to be more cynical, I'd actually say the only reason they invaded Iraq was to create a power in the Middle-East that would effectively do the USA's dirty work by keeping Iran and Palestine under control.

3. Who is the U.S. military fighting in Iraq today?

Good question. Who are they fighting? I will call them a mixture Islamic fundamentalists and aggresive resistors to the occupation by the US army. Labelling them 'insurgents' as the US army does seems a tad bit unfair, considering it's actually their country and they were there long before any US marine got there.

4. Who is Osama Bin Laden?

The charismatic leader of Al-Queda, no less, who seems to outwit the Americans consistantly despite the lack of any equipment (apart from a amcorder). An Islamic fundamentalist who preaches Jihad against the Western World, a call which is actually rejected by most Muslims on the grounds that his reasoning isn't a just reason for the declaration of Jihad as according the Qu'ran. Releases a video now and then just to make sure the Western World knows he's alive and kicking. Bit like David Cameron really in that sense...

Age: 17

Do you watch a lot of news: I watch a lot more than most people my age, but I'd hardly describe it as 'a lot'. At least once a day and if I'm really bored or if there's a major news story, I might stick BBC News 24 on. I think the McCann case when Kate got questioned was the last time I did that...

1. Why did America invade Afghanistan in 2002?

Part of their plan to acquire greater control of their country by using fear and subtile propaganda. I suspect many other secondary reasons, to be con'ted.

2. Why did America invade Iraq in 2003?

Continuation of their plan, aswell as additional monetary and political benifits.

3. Who is the U.S. military fighting in Iraq today?

They are fighting the people who are defending their country, Iraq. They call them terrorists over the news.

4. Who is Osama Bin Laden?(exact heading. EX: you can't write he is a guy, or he is a man or stuff like that)

A pawn in the NWO. Or maybe you wanted the official heading? Hehe.

Answer: 19

Do you watch a lot of news: Sometimes, when key points are discussed, such as the possiblity of a future recession. For everything else, I don't watch it, it's awfully boring.

Answer:

1) to remove the Taliban - an extremist Islamic government from power part of George Bush's "axis of evil"

2) their reason - to prevent the use of WMD supposedly hidden by Saddam Hussein's regime (again extremist Islam). Many believe it to be for oil however.

3) Fundamentalists and insurgents who want the UN forces out of their country

4)The head of Al-Queda a Islamic fundamentalist group bent on the destruction of the Jewish and Christian faiths as well as the Western world through an Islamic Jihad (lit. Holy war)

Do you watch a lot of news: yes

1. Why did America invade Afghanistan in 2002?

To secure a land pipeline between the middle east (read, Saudi Arabia and Iraq) and Europe.

2. Why did America invade Iraq in 2003?

To secure the worlds largest untapped oilfield and to remove the CIA trained dictator, and to stop them from firing Scuds at Isreal because the Isrealis couldnt afford the multi-billion dollar war themselves.

3. Who is the U.S. military fighting in Iraq today?

A dozen different ethinic and political factions united under their hate and mistrust of the American millitary that have killed over 100,000 Iraqis, and left tons of radioactice DU (delpeted-Uranium) shells scattered across the country.

4. Who is Osama Bin Laden?(exact heading. EX: you can't write he is a guy, or he is a man or stuff like that)

Age: 10-20 (for two more weeks :P)

1. Why did America invade Afghanistan in 2002?

To oust the Taliban government for offering asylum to senior Al Qaeda members who were behind the 9/11 attacks.

2. Why did America invade Iraq in 2003?

To establish control of the Iraqi oil reserves and expand their strategic foothold in the region by installing a puppet government similar to that of Persia in the 70s and Vietnam in the 50s.

3. Who is the U.S. military fighting in Iraq today?

Various sectarian groups who are fighting for control of the country and its economic resources now that the balancing force of Saddam Hussein has been removed.

4. Who is Osama Bin Laden?

A skeleton in the American closet that has come back to haunt them. He is determined to fight the opponents of Islam to the death. In the 80s the main opponent was the Soviet Union, an opponent he shared with the United States. Jumping at a chance to have someone else do their dirty work the CIA funded, armed and trained the mujahadeen, Muslims fighting against the Soviets in Afghanistan during the invasion in the 80s. Al Qaeda is a direct spinoff of the mujahadeen. Now that America is the enemy of Islam, he uses the arms, funds and training on them.

I watch news and read newspapers daily, as well as several news sites.

I have to disagree about your statement that the Mujhadeen gave rise to Al Queda, Necromagus.

The Taliban was a group of wealthy men who funded the Mujhadeen rebellion in the 80's, and once the nation was theirs, they ousted numerous Mujhadeen chieftans in order to give power domination to themselves.

The majority of the former Mujhadeen is now known as the Northern Alliance and supports Coalition forces in Afghanistan. Many of them have worked with Americans during the rebellion.

Barihawk: I should have made the distinction between Arab and native mujahadeen. Al Qaeda evolved from Maktab al-Khadamat, the organisation that was behind the funding and recruitment for the Arab mujahadeen. There's some dispute as to whether CIA has supported both these groups, but I believe that they have supported both. They followed the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" doctrine to the letter.

The natives were the ones rocketing HinD's and shooting Communists. The Arabs were the leadership caste that abandoned the native Mujhadeen when the war was over. The CIA and America retained the support of the natives.

Yes, we did help them. By giving weapons to the natives, we were supporting the Arabs indirectly.

I'm from Costa Rica, one of the few countries in the world without an army. 15 years (almost 16) old. I haven't seen the rest of the answers, so I don't know how long the answers should be.

1. Why did America invade Afghanistan in 2002?

This was supposed to be a counter-strike to the terrorist attacks, some kind of "war against terrorism".

2. Why did America invade Iraq in 2003?

Should I answer what I believe, or what I know? They supposedly attacked Iraq because the country was supposed to be building weapons of mass destruction. Later, they also added that they were freeing the country from Sadam Hussein's dictatorship.

3. Who is the U.S. military fighting in Iraq today?

As far as I know, they are just maintaining the order, fighting the rebels, until democracy gets truly implanted in Iraq, and there are peaceful elections.

4. Who is Osama Bin Laden?(exact heading. EX: you can't write he is a guy, or he is a man or stuff like that)

He's the head of the terrorist (extremist-mulsim) group Al-Qaeda, the group that supposedly was in charge of the 11/9 terrorist attacks, along with some others around the world.
