  1. I have high hopes for this topic! I'm the youngest, two older brothers. 17(Brad) 19(Brett) 21(Blake) We're all very close. :P
  2. But we have had guns for so long, banning them now would do NOTHING. We live in a completely different society than that of the UK, you can't change that by banning a few weapons. Trust me, people will find ways of obtaining them, or they will just create something that is far worse.
  3. You think that banning guns will make that pistol disappear off of his shelf? You are poorly mistaken. That's almost as idealistic as thinking prohibition will make alcohol disappear, is just doesn't work that way.
  4. Yeah, that's kinda how I think about it. It's annoying when people use the excuse, "It's what my conscious was telling me to do!" All that says to me is you didn't think about what you did, all you did was act on what you felt. Emotions are never a good thing to act on. :|
  5. That seems a tad, immature? Do this over PM please. Quit spamming his legit topic, or get out. I'll reply later but right now I have a game of tennis to attend.
  6. That's why I put the word heart in quotations, I didn't mean your actual heart. I guess you could say I meant the loving part of your mind.
  7. Yeah, I consider it to be something along the lines of your 'gut instinct'. Eh, we weren't even talking about our writing, the discussion had nothing to do with it.
  8. My teacher today, during AP English Language, said something along the lines of "Your conscious isn't important when making decisions, it's only conceived by your society and people who are around you. Your 'heart' and your brain are what need to make your decisions for you, not something that was made up." It was said in the middle of a discussion about something else, so nothing was said. Although I thought a whole lot of it, and I didn't know whether or not I agreed with this statement. Do you all? 1) What is your conscious, and is it important to you when deciding things? 2) Do you agree with the statement that your brain and your 'heart' should be the only things used for making your decisions*? *Not just "decisions" as in what you do when you decide between two things, but more than that. Important life decisions, such as your religion, how you stand politically, stuff like that.
  9. I've met one before, GhostRanger. [/joke] /laugh
  10. Thanks I agree completely. :P
  11. Of course I'm serious. The kid was messing with his girl, reason enough to give somebody a smack on the face. Sometimes you just gotta stop hippieng around and resort to a little bit of violence. Sjeez, six punches, what are we whining about. Hitting back or not doesn't matter. Charges filled against him, pathetic. It's a schoolyard fight, get over it. Stop treating your kids like they're grown ups. Oh, it wasn't at school. Still, parnets can talk it over with the kids, nothing to get all that worked up over. I'm not attempting to treat them as adults, just civil people. We disagree, I think it's pretty ridiculous.
  12. Are you serious Daan? The kid didn't do anything to him, and he didn't do anything back to him. How about you learn how to handle your problems in a mature way, rather than beating them up. I mean seriously, how childish can you be? And on top of that he didn't even hit him back! Like I said, he deserves to have charges filed against him. Maybe it'll teach him a lesson.
  13. How will that change his mind? Please read what he said, and then your response to him. Now let me know if you don't feel like an idiot.
  14. I like it how people are just blowing off the fact that these kids had sex when they were 13 and 12, but are stuck on "I can't believe that the room was empty for fifteen WHOLE minutes!" Having sex in front of other children, that's equally disturbing. To be honest, I'm probably more upset with the response of the general public than I am with the inccident itself.
  15. Eh, you deserve to have charges filed against you.
  16. I can't remember exactly what it was, but it was pretty far back into Scapeboard. I know it had something to do with buying Cannonballs from The Old Nite.
  17. Wow, I remember that vividly. I dunno why though. :P
  18. Eh, I probably would have hated me too.
  19. Haha, Insane and I used to not get along, imagine that. It was my fault of course. And Daan... We didn't like each other too much. Now all I got is <3 for him. :P
  20. I feel that when I see my posts 6 months ago before I decided to start typing correctly :P . Hah, I remember that. You didn't post nearly as much then as you post now though, so I guess it works out.
  21. I know exactly what you mean. I cringe every time I read my real early posts. Hah, I think everyone feels the same about their old self.
  22. Haha, I wish it wasn't on a Runescape Board. That would be awesome if OT'ers had a separate website.
  23. Haha, haven't you made one of these before? We've been here for about the same time (me for four to five years) Shortly after Scapeboard was turned to TIF I changed my username and I plan on never releasing what my old one was, I'd be so embarrassed if I read what I said back then. But eh, I was only 13 or so. :P I've changed so much since then, everything about me is completely different. My views, how I act, how I look, how I dress, how I type... everything. It's been cool to see how everyone else has kinda grown up too, in different ways.
  24. Dude, when you say something like "You need to ask? I know Muslims have experience of getting their point across." It kinda makes it hard for me to interpret it any other way. Do ya understand what I'm saying?
  25. I never said it was. The only time I even used the word extremist was when I said "There are extremists and every group." You might be confusing Locke and me. Besides, you've drifted off from my one and only point. It's wrong to make a generalization about a group of people and then use it against someone when you're arguing. That's all I was saying. You kinda turned it into something more.
