Random things you have always wanted to know
Why the hell are zebras black and white, with vertical stripes against the horizontally split blue sky and dusty ground? Surely that has to be the suckiest camouflage ever.

High School ~ College / University ~ Etc
Homework - purely a reinforcement measure; you learn in school, you have a break of a few hours (or days) and then practice it again, thus reinforcing the lesson of helping you become more prepared for the next lesson. In English Lit for example this year my homework for Shakespeare was to read relevant acts - had we done this in school we would have wasted SO much time with slower readers etc. Seperate schools - Keeps sizes down, staff can be more specifically trained for the age range they are dealing with - teachers in particular and its probably easier administration wise. University - I don't see any reason why not to go to university - its certainly not unaffordable (where I live) and it improves your mind (always a good thing) but if you really don't want to its your own fault if you get pressured into it - just stand up for yourself. Partying at uni - Life isn't all work ya know :D provided you do it in moderation and don't let it affect your work I see no problem with the odd party. If you do screw up at uni it is entirely your own loss - their problem.

Soft Drugs: What gives?
I'm going to go for the "provided it doesn't hurt others do whatever the hell you like to yourself" stance. If you need drugs to make you feel good, go for it, I don't so I don't use them. Simple really.

low price of cake
It can be stolen from the cake stall in ardougne i think, hence there are lots of it about. Also, seeing how you eat it in 3 slices, its slow healing - never a good thing.

WoW vs. RS
Can't they both just co-exist :-k For me, WoW is something to play when I have lots of free time and no work pressures. Rs is something to play in the half hour before work or when I can't be fussed to go through the intricacies of WoW. You simply cannot compare a browser game and a full scale "proper" game. Want to compare Crysis and a Java fps?

Whats the point?

Isnt a fanboy somebody who sucks up to sony, nintendo or the crapbox if so thats strange because im geting a wii so therefor i cant be a fanboy...fail the final fantasy games arent linked but devil may cry are sort of linked they dont cary on from each other. Ok then, abes odyssey and abes exodus on the PS1 and munch's odyssey on the Xbox. Those followed on from each other and jumped platform. That and I didn't notice much of a story following between the DMC series, certainly not enough to prevent enjoyment if you hadn't played a previous one. That and your hate for Xbox does seem fanboyish to me, instead of love for one its seething hate for another, same thing really. Why the Xbox hatred? I think the x box is overated and people always say "its better than the ps2" even though the x box got DESTROYED Last gen. Halo is just a 1st person shooter if i wanted a first person shooter with good storyline ide go play half life 2. Gears of war sucks resistance is far better.Just that simple. Plus the fact if you put the 360 on its side the disc will get ruined.UNLIKE THE PS3. The 360 breaks down every 4 months.UNLIKE THE PS3. ok so it has its flaws, PS2 has disc read errors, a tendency to break every 6 months or so (god knows I went through 5, as did a friend, long live guarantees) and refusal to read blue discs. That and don't go on sales to gauge greatness, it just doesn't work like that. Also, comparing a console game and a PC game is kinda redundant, PC games will always be superior IMO. All of those are reasons to ignore, or disregard the Xbox, but not actively rant about it :? .

Whats the point?
earlier final fantasies weren't on PS1, so 7 shouldn't have been? fail. (the point is, prequels not being on a system is no reason for sequels not to be)

Captain Planet! Man, I miss that show.
Exactly, I mean they didn't even make a cute girl like the wind person use it I get the feeling ive posted this before but...

prayer lvl up advice plz
altar is much better, its 350% exp rather than 400% at ecto, but ecto is about a million times slower. Its easy enough to find someone with a gilded altar on the forums (make SURE its guilded with both burners lit - it is good manners to provide marrentills for them) who will let you use it for free, just got 60 prayer this way myself - altar is the way to go.

Behind The Scenes - August
I'd do the rise of the red axe storyline to - they made the drunken dwarf well, drunken, and he's mentioned so who knows, could be a big obscure reference.

Tip.It Times Presents: RuneScape: A game for the young?
What an unprecedented load of BS Some games have a perfect community? Alas no, I play both WoW and RS and other MMO's NONE of them have a completely mature community - "noobs" exist everywhere if you excuse the term and RS has its fair share of them - like so many threads in the rants forum are told +ignore solves the problem of immaturity straight off - its just two clicks. Ok, said this many times now - Jagex = company, companies exist to make profit, the world of business is not full of benevolence and empathy, don't like? Go communist. Did RS ever have blood and gore? :-s I'm not sure if it did but I think its a pretty big step to say it was never put in to keep the game for young ones - remember the age of joining is 13+, many 12+ games in the UK have blood/gore with no problems - maybe the Gowers just don't want it in there? Was a great update for f2p, they got a whole new dungeon out of it, with 4 new monsters, 3 new items and a 10k prize - so it had an underlying theme of security - its now used by many high level members (especially for slayer - Axe man Jack has even noted its use in his famous guide). Hardly an update for all the kiddies. quest points please? You ever try MEP2 or MM without a guide? Do the quests how Jagex intended and you will notice a severe rise in difficulty. Ok here we go.... [hide]Desert treasure: you end up releasing a power servant to the god of evil from his eternal prison Hazeel's mark: you resurrect an equally similar demon followed by a cult of black cloaked priests. Devious minds: you manufacture a weapon for a shadowy stranger which is later used to murder two priests and steal a holy relic Regicide: you kill a king, only to find out you have been betrayed and have in fact just murdered the good guy[/hide] These are just the ones of the top of my head (full QP ftw) and I'm sure I could find more given time. I'm sorry, when did you write the rules of fantasy? I could imagine a demon howling, or at least giving a damn good shout. The graphics are improving, just not to your personal preference - dragons are a great example as another poster said.

Britain Terror Suspect Dies From Burns
Can I remind you of the situation in N. Ireland that thankfully is coming to a reletively peaceful close after several centuries of political and religious tension? Slaughtering people from another religion is bad, but surely slaughtering people in your own is worse? What about all those devouts Christians in the BNP which stokepile explosives in their houses because they're scared of the "flood of immigrants"? The KKK in America? I could roll out a list of examples so don't play the "Christianity is compeltely innocent" card either. I think you have me wrong, I wasn't trying to present that at all, as I said, Christian fundamentalism is less serious than islamic fundamentalism and is dying even more - N.Ireland as you say is cooling off, the KKK is almost a spent force i'm lead to believe and the BNP is anything but a Christian organisation - i doubt you'd find many vicars supporting them. Like what? Both are expressions of patronage to one entity. I really see no difference. Surely the crime is that he tried to kill people, not that he happened to shout "Allah" whilst doing so? You really see no difference between those two? An act of quiet, peaceful praise and a act of murderous violent intent in the name of god? seriously? Yes of course the crime is murder but the reasoning (religion) is just as important. and finally sure about that? want any more?

Lol, which unfortunetely is not very often at all! And yeah they really don't stand much of a chance. OT's just a place for a load of silly neebs who really don't know a lot anyway. :P Yeah I'd love to go Barrows or CW sometime. You got a blog? I'll hit you with a PM sometime when we're both online and I'm not doing anything. ORRR... baron could light the fire for both of us. Unless Simon's already doing yours... Yep. Definitely. Telling me to wait for four hours yesterday while he plays catch up just 'coz he can't get off his [wagon] early enough in the morning! :P Ooooo we agree sometimes! We both dont like stupid people for a start lol, political differences make the world go round :D. I don't have the patience for a blog unfortunately and WoW keeps threatening to steal me away from RS... And I'm SO lighting the fire after this 4 hour wait silliness.

Er, I'm having trouble discerning your condemnation of terrorists and the entire Islamic institution. Seriously, did you not get the implication that the jab at the islamic extremists means that he has no problem with moderate muslims? (Apologies if I putting the wrong words in your mouth btw Tigra). Also there is one hell of a difference between chanting your gods name on your deathbed and screaming it when you are burning from your own failed attack on other people's lives. Also, don't play the genocide card against christianity, we learned and stopped, the minority of fundamentalist christians have nowhere near the impact islamic fundamentalists do so I really wouldn't pick that battle.
