  1. Its because of people like you we can't have nice threads.
  2. All I know is that its nigh on impossible to feel more content then lying in a warm bed on the brink of sleep whilst the most unholy thunderstorm rages just outside.
  3. Well, Its about 12 noon where I am and sunny as anything, yet you have managed to scare the living daylights out of me. Kudos for managing to not run screaming like a little girl and staying with your job.
  4. because exclusivity rights are neither set in stone or infinite /end of thread

the psp could never be "slim" - only slightly less obese.
  6. Not mine, but one I observed. I'll set the scene, its the first day of university, scholars from far and wide have come to study. Parents are driving their children to the halls of Mansfield college, Oxford (see sig). The Dean, the Principal, The Proctors and even the Vice-Chancellor are there all welcoming students as there parents park their cars on the gravel surrounding the Quad (a Quad being a piece of grass surrounded by buildings). Then, in drives a parent, who decided to park their car on the quad itself - an area that you get fined ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã50 for treading on (unless your playing croquet in the summer admittedly) whilst her poor poor son sees his reputation be smashed to pieces before he said a word. Now that's embarrassing.
  7. Can we add a "if your name starts with "achillieus" (not that I can spell it) just NO, NO" clause? oooo 1000th post, took me long enough
  8. *Woop-Woop* Not-the-full-story Alert
  9. catch a BB in the eye, then tell me they can't maim. and yes, heavier BBs sting like a B***h  , man I hurt my cousin after that. I do sympathise with you, I really do, as you can see I've been affected by similar issues - unfortunately its a necessary movement for the time and society we have.
  10. I have 2, was shot by one by my cousin 2 weeks ago (in the leg and kidney, white, slightly heavier BBs). On the same topic I've also shot paintball, real pistols (although rarely) but my real preference was for my 18-bore shotgun (which unfortunately had to be destroyed recently, which now means I have to use rented guns, #-o :notalk: ) for clay pigeon shooting (as mentioned before).
  11. Ok, a question for you - do you think something that can (as we've been through) maim, if not kill should be allowed for purchase on the internet - a haven for under-age purchase and usage if there ever was one - simply for your convenience and enjoyment? If the answer is yes - I think you seriously need to reconsider your stance that the distribution of dangerous items (which yes they are) is inferior to your pleasure If the answer is no - then you must concede that the government is taking a basically good action (albeit at your personal loss). I felt the same thing recently with higher gun control on shotguns for the use of clay pigeon shooting - Its made it a bit more difficult to shoot nowadays and I have to go a bit further but I'm willing to make that sacrifice for better gun control - I sure prefer that to the American way of random shootings every so often.
  12. Incorrect, BB guns can and have been used in robberies - when someones waving a gun in your face you don't exactly think straight Ginger covered this well enough, BS (although you did miss the royal assent and enforcement by the secretary of state Ginger, but nearly there) Incorrect again, parliament has the sovereignty to pass any law they like, ANY. No, just because you cant kill someone with it doesn't it isn't dangerous and should be restricted. Also, I'm slightly worried about the fact you take such offence at the look of the thing - are you worried the "cool" factor of playing with guns is gone? P.S. Its pretty damn easy to kill someone with an air rifle if you use metal shot which as you also said comes under this law.
  13. ecstatic, complicated law essay completed on time and hopefully tutor wont rip it to shreds too much.
  14. Well, Europe hasnt turned into a burning mess of economic failure yet...
  15. That one, alone, is worthy of a thread. You hero! ^_^ My friend, that is only one of many hilarious web pages I've found. I highly recommend downloading this thing and taking a few stumbles ;) That is the first time I've come close to actually physically wetting myself laughing for a long time. A thumbs up to you sir!
  16. What are tip.its rules on abandonware and the like? We need to revive these old games and show the young uns how it used to be done.
  17. My mood is ever so slightly merry after attending a formal uni social and having slightly too many glasses of free wine (which was of awesome quality btw) and being performed to during dinner by the Oxford Gargoyles Jazz band. It is now slightly dipping as I have to write an essay of extreme difficulty and importance (and dullness) whilst resisting the urge to go and invade a different college's bar. Now, back to the essay oh distracting tip.it.
  18. Well I'm listening to Guns n Roses whilst reading Constitutional law reports and I seem to be doing ok :D
  19. I don't want to. :notalk: Because....
  20. Then how come all tip.it crew have that delightful little avatar? I can understand the need for admins to have such avatars but crewbies? Make no mistake I have a lot of respect for some crewbies I know fairly well but it seems a little incongruous. Go on, take it out of your avatar, I dare you  .
  21. Just a quick post to say Hartlar is awesome for letting me use his lecturn to make house tele tabs for zammy boss in GWD 8-) even if he did log out after I'd only made four not realising it would kick me out - silly person that he is  :-w I'll post back if I get anything good.
  22. Meh it happens, on the stuff I've helped with some I've been credited for, some I haven't. You'll get your turn.
  23. GTFO - its lemonade with pear drops crushed in it On the spirits side of the conversation I feel the same way as Ragen - white rum (despite nearly making me retch) gave me the worst hangover ever, I seriously could not feel my face let alone move. Bloody stuff.
