Concerning IP addresses....
phoning your ISP and asking is the simplest route to be honest - when configuring most routers/similar you are asked what kind of ip you have (at least I always seem to be) and they recommend to call your ISP.

The UK government loses 25m records.
Are you seriously suggesting Brown's job is to keep an eye on every single person (and there are thousands) who work in an office related to government? Ginger Warrior wins here - the constitutional convention of ministerial accountability would not apply in this scenario. A minister must accept responsibility where protocols/directions have been adhered too (obviously not the case here) - if not then there is no onus for the minister to resign or be challenged - he can even throw the civil servant to the press if he wishes. I'll provide sources if needed, too early atm.

Kicked from Clan Chat
So, you tried to be sly and undercut, and now try to moan about honour? Hypocrisy sucks doesn't it.

An Ip attempting to access my pc? should I be worried?
Ok, so I'm surfing happily and then about 5 times in the space of 15 minutes this pops up. Now the IP on there is not that vastly different from mine on the uni network (I'm pretty sure this is from within college) - should I be worried here? I've noted it down obviously and am tempted to go and speak to the IT guy.

Whould you give up your right to vote for an Ipod?
A quotation from Mr Griffin sums up the BNP's stance: "We believe not just that our people are different from others, but that such genuine diversity is worth preserving. It is not a matter of ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâsuperiority̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ or ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâinferiority̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢." - Nick Griffin I'm not going to deny that the BNP used to be racist, but under Griffin in the past few years they have become an alternative to the main political parties who trade policies and brand anyone who doesn't want Britain overrun by immigrants racist. The latest immigration debate (last week) the main 3 parties said "we realise immigration is a problem and the people of Britain are concerned, but we're not going to have any real position on the matter because it will be seen as "racist"". It shows how scared the tories, labour and lib dems are of the matter when they didn't even invite the BNP to give an alternative, something mirrored by some of the phone ins. Racial seperation and racism are utterly different things, the BNP stands for diversity and allowing real freedom of speech, something you're obviously trying to squash with the PC garbage. http://www.bnp.org.uk/articles/countering_smears.html Visit there, i'm not flaming you for misunderstanding the BNP, the anti BNP mob is sizeable. You may have succeeded in removing the skinheads and outright racism and managed to hide it behind silk ties and suits but trust me, the organisation you support is STILL intrinsically racist and will always be so. The day the BNP is voted into power is the day I (White, english, middle class before you ask) leave. Hopefully every sensible person on this forum can see this organisation for what they are. EDIT - im sorry im sorry I just have to keep posting these, all have been copied and pasted direct from the website Asda were selling Halal meat on 6th November in the Colne Lancashire store. I have written a letter of complaint. Will let you know when I get a reply. oh no!!!! This truly is groundbreaking!!! What possible reasoning could this have rather then racism? I read an article in the daily mail last week nuff said societies which have become racially, religiously and culturally mixed have historically also been those in relative decline so, colour mixes = death of society now? Nice... EDIT - number two, the image page is even better! (I apologise that I have to post these images mods/admins, I'm sure you realise these are not my views and that it to show the idiocy of the BNP, please PM me a reason if you feel you must remove them) under the heading "the future of Europe - hopefully not!!" under the heading of "london returns the favour" (after the london underground transport bombs) All this from just their website. Time to re-evaluate your political views methinks?

Exam time, yet again...
If your revision is not web-based, disconnect your internet and give the cable to someone - be firm with yourself over it. I used this for my A levels and it worked for me :)

Could you survive without your computer/television?
T.V.? sure, that wouldn't be difficult. Computer...depends if you mean for work or relaxation? I'm pretty sure I could cope without a PC for relaxation purposes (although I wouldn't want to) but for work It would be a pretty severe dent in productivity - all the law reports, statutes, case reports and legal journals are online so I rarely have to go to a library - to be able to check a tiny detail of almost any case within in a few clicks is a great tool.

I don't know if you live in America or not, but even if you did not, this EFFECTS you in one way or another. I don't live in america, how does this affect me? EDIT - ok, I'm bored and I thought I might pull some of this apart for fun First of all I'm going to go and assume you have an independent judiciary, you do have that right? Right then, here we go Wrong, key word = extremist - supporting a political opponent who is working through the required means and methods set down will never EVER be defined as "extremist". Violence is another key word there - only if that is a part of their campaign will these laws become applicable under any sensible court system. Since when did petty crime further "political or social objectives"? Or indeed since when has it tried to coerce the US government in any way shape or form? Once again, whoever wrote this needs to learn to read legislation. You fail to understand how legislation works, by putting this section in, the courts CANNOT interpret the legislation in an unconstitutional way - a similar convention exists with UK legislation and the European convention on Human Rights - any part of UK legislation that is incompatible with the ECHR acts is automatically dis-applied by the courts without a seconds thought. The fact the definitions could potentially be twisted unconstitutionally is therefore irrelevant AHAHAHA, I'm sorry there really was nothing to do there but laugh. Here's a definition of draconian for you: 1. Designating a law or code of extreme severity. 2. Harsh, rigorous. I don't know if you have ever been to the UK, let alone experienced our police system but from my experience it is relatively fair, forgiving to a degree (too forgiving some may say) and is anything but "extremely severe" or "harsh". What I quoted above was nonsense, pure and simple. Guess what, everyone is ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ what do you want them to say? Only foreigners can be terrorists? Only muslims? This part truly was the stupidity icing on the idiot cake I look forward to your reply.

A cup of PG tips with 3 sugars and milk is quite frankly essential to getting essays in on time and student life in general. It is of course, made better by a chocolate biscuit (preferably dunked)

Innocent until proven guilty
I'd rather "innocent until proven guilty" was abused and some guilty people escape rather then "guilty until proven innocent" and innocent people being convicted and imprisoned.

Will Off-Topic ever 'run out'?
As long as craiglowery has an internet connection and can type digg.com there will be topics, not necessarily good topics, but topics nonetheless.

Behind the Scenes - November Edition
Well, they did kinda steal the grand exchange from WoW's auction house, and isn't there something in WoW that lets others assist/change your items? Yes, because the idea of game-wide item listings was INVENTED by World of Warcraft. In fact, every single idea ever to exist in an MMORPG was invented by WoW. Those Jagex thieves. "LOL" "@" Sarcasm. Sarcasm = lowest form of wit The fact remains that the AH system is the most prevalent type of system at this moment - I was remarking the irony that Umega had left RS for WoW, when RS was becoming more like WoW. I have no issue with jagex utilising the system - it works, it'll help jagex out and improve RS - its all good. Kindly learn to read and realise when there are and when there aren't negative comments in a post before you make yourself look a fool. P.S. if you would like to name a system more prevalent then WoW AH and prove me wrong then feel free, I await your inevitably stunning answer.
