phoning your ISP and asking is the simplest route to be honest - when configuring most routers/similar you are asked what kind of ip you have (at least I always seem to be) and they recommend to call your ISP.

Ok, so I'm surfing happily and then about 5 times in the space of 15 minutes this pops up. Now the IP on there is not that vastly different from mine on the uni network (I'm pretty sure this is from within college) - should I be worried here? I'm pretty sure I could cope without a PC for relaxation purposes (although I wouldn't want to) but for work It would be a pretty severe dent in productivity - all the law reports, statutes, case reports and legal journals are online so I rarely have to go to a library - to be able to check a tiny detail of almost any case within in a few clicks is a great tool.
