  4. You think anybody on Runescape can actually sing? The world is more dilluded than i thought. :ohnoes: Cough Bubsa Cough If your going to do RS songs, do it properly
  5. If you liked TA (which I did as well - loved it) and your PC can run it maybe have a look into Supreme Commander, its something special.
  6. wow...duke nukem...that guy played a pivotal place in my childhood (I think I played at 4? maybe younger?) I forgot how good game characters used to be - ol Duke could kick seven shades of anything out of the new pretenders.
  7. (Assuming your from America). I hear that so often with Americans. All they want no matter how bad their service is, is a tip. Screw that, over here in Australia if you don't have good service you don't get tipped. And rightly so. American how dare you! (I kid I kid) English if you please  . I quite agree by the way, if the service sucks I don't tip either, compulsory tipping is just wrong - its not my job to subsidise your wage bill dammit.
  8. Ninjas have to spend years in training, quiet contemplation whilst getting hit with sticks to learn valuable lessons. Pirates sail around, looting, pillaging, drinking and spend their time surrounded by booty and wenches... I know which I'd rather be.
  9. The internet is not the place for practical legal advice - call yourself a lawyer.
  10. Oh come on. The United States teens must have been lying. When I was in high school I have only met a handful of people that didn't drink. I've even had a drink underage and I don't drink too much at all even though I'm legal age. They were probably too scared to tell the truth thinking they'd get in trouble for underage drinking which is a decent violation in USA. That would be relevant if we were actually discussing the US...
  11. Diminished responsibility is only applicable to murder charges here, over in the USA they do not have it, they have first and second degree murder. Since he did not shoot, or kill anyone it would fall under self protection i assume. I reckon he'd probably get away with it if he was taken to court by the person. Details in a case like this would make all the difference though, and the fact it was his party that approached the person in the first place may mean he could be screwed. I reckon its unlikely this would ever get to court. I meant diminished responsibility in a more moral sense there, sorry for any confusion - as I said I didn't want to comment in any legal capacity but it was silly to use a term that could be construed in a legal way - my bad. @langzor - you misunderstand me - I mean you shouldn't point a gun at someone unless you are prepared to shoot - not necessarily going to shoot. Re-reading it I wasn't clear (which is why I shouldn't post at 2 AM lol) and I mean to say you should never point a weapon at someone if you don't think you could ever use it with a good reason.
  12. Never had a need to luckily, once you learn how to write exam answers you can pass easily (and indeed well) whilst knowing very little actual content.
  13. No. *confused* explain?
  14. O Rly? EDIT - no it didn't work, pic put in instead source http://camy.org/factsheets/index.php?FactsheetID=5
  15. 1. I didn't rush over there with a gun in my hand until i seen him reaching for somthing. 2. I wasn't going to shoot him over a piece of jewelry, I was protecting my friends/me. 3. I didn't want to jump him becuase I don't want to creat bigger situations aside from the fight (future situations) 4. I live in the USA I think you have misunderstood me in 1) I was referring to the part even before guns and knives became part of the situation - where you friend was about to beat someone and the only reason you had for not wanting to stop it was a cowardly regard for your own skin. 2) I was mostly referring to the other guy here - protecting your friends I have no problem with more the way you went about it which leads to.... 3) I don't really get your answer here - if you are replying to my 3) then I was trying to highlight the complicated and dangerous nature of guns - they are not something to wave around in people's faces unless you know what you are doing - a knife can't go off and kill someone by accident - a gun can. 4) In that case I don't know your legal system that well and I will no longer comment with any legal basis (although if there isn't statute against threatening with a weapon [admittedly with diminished responsibility] then I would be surprised) edit - fudged up the quotes
  16. The waitress at my local pizza hut who sneered when she wasn't tipped after we had had the buffet where we served ourselves for the entire meal - I'm damned if I'm paying 10% for a woman to carry a piece of paper to the table.
  17. Things that worry me 1) the only reason you didnt want to "jump" this kid is the fact the police might come, rather than any moral reason 2) people are willing to threaten/stab/shoot each other over jewellery, seriously WTF. 3) you "rushed" along with a gun - those thing are dangerous (duh) and are NOT something you point at anyone unless you intend to shoot them - period. If this was in the UK, you'd be in prison for a long long time boy - hopefully its the same in the US. This entire situation sickens me.
  18. Personally I source the problem in the UK with our attitude to alcohol at a young age a comparative case study between say France and the UK will demonstrate this best. In France, wine is commonplace and children from a young age (and I mean single digits) have it with meals, often watered down and maintain this as they grow older until eventually they can purchase it for themselves. By doing this they acquire not only a respect for alcohol but a taste for it, making them shun the god awful drinks that some of the youth in this country sup (trust me, I've tried them). Contrast this with the UK, with most of my friends (and I guess the majority) their parents have forbidden them from alcohol completely until they are 18 - nothing, zip, nada. Invariably when they turn 18 they go insane as it is something new and special to them which they must indulge in furiously. As I was growing though I was introduced young - I was allowed wine (again, watered with lemonade, or should that be lemonaded down  ) with a large meal, eventually drinking weak shandy and progressing to the responsible drinker I am today; and yes I do drink regularly (university life eh) and many different types (beer, cider, spirits etc). Another thing I would blame is this new trend of fruit drinks - your bacardi breezers, your smirnoff ices etc (even worse are the killer cocktails). These things (apart from being foul) do not taste alcoholic at all, and can quite easily be swigged down like a soft drink on a warm day (a Uni bar example should suffice - a "dark pangra" - 2 shots of bacadi, 2 of vodka, 2 of archers, 1 of JD and 1 grenadine, served in a pint glass and topped up with lemonade and blackcurrent - doesn't taste alcoholic in the slightest). Most of the people I see drinking these tend to drink them with the sole purpose of getting drunk and I don't think they would do so if they had to drink the spirit neat/mixed and actually taste the drink (most of the time I don't think they'd actually like it if they could taste it  ).
  19. Man I love deadmines - just did another run with (and hears the important bit) - two paladins a rouge and a warrior - notice the key thing? NO other cloth/magic users but me :D On this run, with no competition for drops (at least for me - the pallies got a bit miffed with each other) the mobs decide to drop... http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=5193 (cape of the brotherhood - Van cleef - already got overshirt) http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=1156 (lavishly jewelled ring - Glinid) http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=5195 (gold-flecked gloves - Sneed) http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=5201 (emberstone staff - greenskin) I think nearly every blue that I could use dropped! This isnt even counting the additional greens I got on top - I'm a very happy warlock. Maybe its making it up for the previous one where we had a level 20 warrior who didn't have any abilities (seriously had not visited a trainer in his life) :-s .
  20. Think about it... Lets take pacman for example, i mean if kids get influenced by that.. Running around in a dark room munching pills and listening to repetitive music... wait.. Stolen joke is stolen...Godammit make your own stuff up or credit. OT - meh, the games tended to suck something awful anyway.
  21. RL pics are the cancer that is killing /ot/ We need a name for these new people...a mocking name...new...something...
  22. http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet ... nd&n=Ralak There he is, in all his (possibly) glory. Suggestions? Advice? Cruel mocking comments :P ? I think I need to find a new questing area...Westfall is a thinning out now.
  23. I see what you mean, that got awful dull awful quick, I kind of got tired and switched back to my old lock  . The only problem I have now (and its only tiny) is what to do with greens - most of the things I get from deadmines (which I LOVE, its such fun and has a piratey theme  ) are lesser than my current gear (which you can laugh at once I work out how to link it) and I never know whether to AH it or just sell to a vendor - any suggestions? Also I just did the suckiest deadmines run of my life, a whole run through and one green the whole time, all the blues got taken by others (including cloth by a warrior...asshat - although the priest "forgot" to heal him strangely enough) Tempted to make an orc "something" and try out their low level instance as well.
  24. Ok, so I've decided on a rogue, last time I played I was a priest/warlock so I'm sick to death of spells and only cloth armour. pretty sure I'll be horde as well. Man I've missed discussing this game, let alone playing
