Are you Alliance? If so you're a bit stuck - A few levels ago Blackfathom Deeps would be good but it might be a little easy for you now (although if your gear really needs upgrading that badly it can't hurt), you could try Razorfen Kraul but being in the barrens (horde area) you might have some trouble, especially on a pvp server. The only other option is Gnomeregan (at least that I can think of) and...well...if you didnt like stockades... Edit - A good link I tend to use is this list of instances from wowwiki http://www.wowwiki.com/Instances You can click on any of the instances, see the rec/min levels for them and even have a look what kind of loot it can offer you in advance, hope you find what you are looking for

Baron8000's new PC - pick me a motherboard
Hey guys, you know what happened to the forum and I'm unable to recover my old topic so it looks like I have to do this all over again...(although of course, if anyone can work the damned google cache thing better than me and can recover my old topic I will be forever grateful) Basically - New desktop being built by me, only need to build the tower as I have all the monitor/speakers etc with a budget of £600. As far as I remember JoedaStudd made me a build that looked great using mostly parts from http://www.scan.co.uk and I can remember a bit of it (and joe has helped me out) but I'm worried about compatibility of parts if I just pick the rest myself. Parts I can remember (I think - feel free to suggest any improvements): Graphics card - Nvidia 9600 - http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductI ... tID=772608 Case - http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductI ... tID=617633 (question on this - the power supply for this is 500W - is that good enough? General advice appreciated here) Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.66 - http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductI ... tID=736333 (question on this one - will the heatsink/cooling fan etc come with this or will I need to buy it separately?) HD - Western Digital 500GB - http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductI ... tID=530765 (could someone check the compatibility here? Thanks) Now - things I can't remember: Motherboard - NO clue here whatsoever, this is my biggest worry - I really don't want to buy a load of parts and find out the things won't work or even fit into each other. Any suggestions appreciated and feel free to change around the earlier parts if needed Ram - again, can't remember, 4gb would be nice but I have no idea which makes are good (or even if it matters); whilst I realise this is probably a simple part to buy and most will work I'd like to make sure I get something of fairly good quality and don't make any fundamental mistakes. OS - Vista of a 64bit variety I believe was the suggestion - Home premium I think? (I intend to get vista for gaming purposes so I just need to know what version is best for me - I realise I'm not providing much info here, as I don;t know what to provide, so feel free to ask any questions) I think that's all the parts I need, of course if I've missed anything obvious then please tell me :) Thanks everyone in advance for all the help - I realise I may be being paranoid, pedantic or just a simpleton in places here but £600 is a lot for me as a student and I really don't want to waste any money or end up with a lame duck of a gaming rig (Age of Conan being the aiming point as some may remember)

Teacher's grading style?
I have certain views of Oxbridge... they are ̮̩̉̉litist and they've been rigging the education system for the best part of 400 years now. I think with Oxbridge you have to understand it's the not the students inside Oxbridge I stereotype and get annoyed with; it's the impression those in the job sector have of the word 'Oxbridge' on a CV. A PhD at Manchester is still more than a first-class degree at Cambridge. That's my viewpoint - but it's seemingly not theirs and it does irk me slightly. -.- I didn't put in application because I wanted to keep my education in Northern England in a traditional red-brick university in the industrial cities (Manchester, Yorkshire and Liverpool). Not snobbery of the South... I'm just proud of my Northern roots. That was my argument too. Let's face it; grades mean very little when it comes to jobs. They ask for the bare minimum, anything more is just a nice bonus. What they really want to know is if that person had the right persona for the job/career that person was going after. Clearly, they judged 'no', and I think they would know better than that 'college official'. :P Thanks for the reply, could I ask you to be a bit more specific on the elitism for me? In the example you gave of an employer taking a lower Oxbridge degree (which I presume you meant) over a higher non-Oxbridge degree I can quite understand; but if an employer has two equal degrees to chose from (say, a B.A.) then you can't blame them for choosing Oxford - its just a better degree. Fair enough wanting to stay in the North, its a shame though - the amount of debating, politics and similar you could have participated in is huge. Agreed on the argument - grades mean sod all, hopefully this "college official" will get slapped down by a tutor (they can be damn scary when they do that!)

So, I could use a bit of help...
Good for you - I have to say the environment in which you work is one of the most important things to being successful. It'll simply give you that much more motivation when you're finding things tough or things get you down. My second choice uni was nowhere near as nice/good as the one I'm at and had its odd dingy bits like you've described - luckily where I am all I need is a 15 minute walk around the beautiful city and I feel ready for work again. You're doing well, stick to your guns

What if Iran attacked U.S?
If Iran actually attacked the US? well Iran quite obviously isn't going to win unless they've got some of those WMD that the middle east is so good at hiding apparently (look at Iraq - still none found!). As for this whole american boat/iran water's business what the hell did America think they were playing at? Territorial waters are territorial waters meaning you need a damn good reason (i.e. better than "patrolling") to just go swanning around and then complain when the owners of the waters retaliate. Whether other countries "don't mind" is irrelevant, their waters - their rules as far as I'm concerned until the situation demands action (with, you know, actual evidence and similar stuff).

The coming of age
happy birthday  Age restrictions in my view are a good thing - ok there may be a minority that are mature enough to live without them but in general I think they are a good idea. Don't forget it works both ways of course - ages of criminal liability and that sort of thing. Why do we look forward to it? Its just a rite of passage, everyone at that kind of age wants to be grown up, an adult - for me I looked forward to being able to drink and vote (not at the same time obviously - I may end up voting labour or something  ). More freedom = good in the eyes of most I suppose. Age restrictions in the UK are 18 for cigs/alcohol (used to be 16 for ciggs and changed recently) 18 for adult material 18 to vote 21 (?) to be an MP not sure when you can join the army etc though...

Freedom
Firstly do you mean rights as in natural rights or legal rights? If natural rights then way to state the obvious if legal rights then...well you're wrong unfortunately. This is the kind of thing you really mustn't be ambiguous about. Zonorhc had it right anyway.

The Perils of Taking The Bible Literally
The bible isnt ment to be taken litteral and you shouldnt anymore becuase of the alterations made. There were alot of other books left outta the bible by its creaters. The people that created the bible were not the ones that had anything to do with any profits or revolaters. That said, Its full of stories about morals and what happens or what one can expect on some cases if not all if someone does something. Its about how one should behave to keep society sound, strong and in less conflcit with itself. There will always be people that say what the bible says it what it means, but theres meny places were thats clearly not the case, but to ignore the morals of it brings the truth of the stated to life. as i said the bible is also made of meny books so that might not be true throught, alot of people think it was always a book, but meny of the books in the bible were made of meny centuries. Some could be literal while others theological and phychological. Have faith If you wish, but dont have so much faith you cant see the sky as the sky, the ground as the ground and the sea as the sea. I don't get how that applies to my post, sorry :-s

The Perils of Taking The Bible Literally
I'm sorry but in b4 flame war all this thread is going to attract is the fundamentalist deists arguing with the strong atheists whilst agnostics put the occasional comment in the middle of the two extremes. Besides, who takes the bible literally these days - ok there are quite a few fundamentalists who stick pretty firmly to it but few who do everything it says. Anyway I won't bother typing anything long, just watch this thread degrade.

Homosexuality - Gay Bashing?
Nope no problems here - once again the old stance of "do whatever the hell you like provided you don't do it to me/let it affect me" works well here . One thing I fail to understand about gay marriage though. Let me make the distinction first - marriage as in the Christian/religious concept and marriage as in the civil partnership sense. Now the later I can understand - people want to confirm their partnership/maybe gain the same rights or whatever - fair enough, that I can understand. Marriage as a religious concept though - how do couples fit past the "you're going to burn in hell" clause? Its no secret most religions decry homosexuality with punishments from damnation to stoning (and I'm not here to debate that or its correctness, the facts are the facts) so to want to be married in a church, by a minister seems paradoxical to me - wanting a union under a god that by all accounts hates you? That I fail to understand. One point, I'm not trying to argue either side, just things I don't understand irritate me  .

Personal defense
you know, for a bunch of internet forum MMO players (at one time presumably) an awful lot of you apparently live in ghettos  . For me - not a thing is needed, my home city is fairly safe and there's never any trouble at uni, safe as houses.

The official World of Warcraft thread.
Well I've had my heartbroken, after my previous moan I had one more crack at WSG - I join the battle room, its just me. The people joining include - 2 29 rogues, 2 29 mages a 28 paladin and not a single level lower than 27 (I know levels aren't everything but it helps). So I figure, this could go well/better then before and then, instead of a huge charge, some hunters a mage and a priest stay behind - unheard of in the "charge and hope" games I've seen. Needless to say the majority of the game I was watching X has taken the flag, Y has returned the flag within 10 secs of each other :D . Of course I figured the attack would be blunted - hell no, paladins and warriors cut them to ribbons with a priest healing them whilst I threw an inhuman amounts of dots around and the occasional instant-shadow-bolt (nightfall might only have a 4% chance to activate per corruption tick but with 5+ corruptions placed they come around pretty soon  ). Then came the best bit, one rogue stayed behind me stealthed nearly the whole game (without being asked) and anytime anybody came even close to hitting me the rogue was lightning fast in stunning them into oblivion for me to take a step back and blast - it really was effortless - and great fun! (it was also nice for rogues not to be the bane of my bloody life for once :P ) Now comes the heartbreak - despite adding all those people and being added back, I doubt i'll ever have that much fun again
