  2. Sorry, but no. Everyone with the levels to team the usual floors do complexity 1, usually 5:1 rushes for the first floors. He'd get like 50xp from that.
  3. Since when is the direction of the hat's tip anything even slightly close to being important?
  4. Tried buying 4 extra toolboxes and dropping them in base. Even then 2 people didn't bother to pick them up and didn't have any tools :wall:

    dung

Umm guys, whatever you do, DO NOT get the ~60+ dung with pengs, lamps, tears of guthix or other stuff like that. Trust me, you NEED the practice before going into a large dungeon. If you wanna know what happens when people don't follow this tip, check out the dungeoneering thead in rants forum.
  6. Sorry for hijacking, but is cr ok for waterfiends? How does it compare to godsword or other crush weapons?
  7. Jagex, to put it simply, makes way too much money to want to close runescape anytime in the near future. The only circumstances under which I can see them making that decision are either java goes under, the internet stops being used (lol), or over a gradual amount of time their member base reaches a critical threshold where they no longer break even... which would have to be pretty low seeing as they don't have that many developers and server space can't cost all that much. I know. Still, I think that would make a good article, but you'd have to do a lot of research for it and analyze things waaaay deeper than I did in this article :ohnoes:
  8. I've been thinking about writing something about the not-so-rare opinion that RS will get closed soon. A lot of stuff to cover there, like lack of new players, Stellar Dawn, Jagex' stated plans, etc., could be a hell of an article if you go deep enough. You can use that if you want to.
  9. I guess one could use the danger thingy for it, but a separate guardian door marker would be awesome.
  10. Thanks for the feedback guys, especially the bad one (good feedback is pleasing, but useless). Keep in mind that this was my first article ever, so things just can't be very smooth
  11. Jagex giving us tips on what to do? Isn't that what we don't need...? I'm fairly sure jagex'es advice would be to do everything on c6 and to kill every monster, use their auto-match system for teams(which is terrible). The prestige system is more than easy to figure out with the tips you get right now(on rskb and in game)- if you can't do it on your own, you propably shouldn't be training the skill. If they thought Summoning was complicated enough to warrant a tutorial, then dungeoneering definitely needed one. The dungeoneering tutor isn't very helpful at all. Perhaps Jagex has revamped their handholding policy, but Wolf Whistle seems strangely out of place without a dungeoneering equivalent. The most common question I see every low level asking is how to get the best experience and when to reset. Yes, everyone now at a high level understands it perfectly, but there is no comprehensive explanation ingame. Again, depends on how much handholding is intended, but ingame explanations are usually the clearest. And while your cynicism at Jagex's cluelessness was appreciated (I enjoyed it at least), as long as Mod Chris L writes it we should be fine (though finishing dungeoneering updates should be a priority). Dungeoneering is first and foremost a team-based skill, that is supposed to make people work with each other. I think the lack of a tutorial helps that a hell of a lot.
  12. The only reason why somebody would get a longsword is when they don't like dg that much and won't be getting another chaotic weapon. Get the maul.
  13. 32k/hour, 116 days. I like to stand around doing nothing, or do something silly like playing hide-and-seek :shades: EDIT: I'd REALLY like to see the total xp/h of some of the people with around 2 bil total xp.
  14. With your budget, not really. I'm pretty sure you know this, but just in case: when you save up enough points to feel safe about canceling/banning anything you might need to, spend the points you don't need on slayer dart runes.
  15. I'd send a letter to jagex tech support. Did that once, and it seemed like that's the one part of their customer support that actually works. Got an answer within like 12 hours, a useful one.
  16. First of all, get rid of the obby shield and get a rune defender. Then do Smoking kills quest if haven't doen it already (a must-have for any slayer) and switch your helms for a slayer helmet. I'm not sure how long will it take, it depends a lot on how efficient you are, but you should get it pretty quick.
  17. I guess i'm good at the every-man-for-himself kinda playing then, because I always team in w117 and I never really had a problem with food or other resources. Even though I do help out other people and contribute as much as I can. Here's a little observation of mine though - team quality depends on the floor a lot more than you'd think. When i tried to do f25-30 larges in w117 it was a pain, because most of my teammates had no idea what they were doing, or wouldn't communicate, or both. However, when I got to occult floors evey team is full of friendly and efficient people. I guess experience at dungeoneering teaches you team skills.
  18. I wonder how long it takes for Jagex to get the report and then investigate and ban the person. If Jagex's system is still as automated as it used to be, reporting a person for botting may very well induce the system into scanning the person for autoing software, either immediately or delayed. That's exactly what it does.
  19. Dam. Pretty much all the teams i got there either fell apart in the middle of a large or tried to kill every single npc in a large =\
  20. Ok so it looks to me like w117 simply sucks.. while w77 is empty. What are my options for finding a half-decent team? Not interested in hardcore clans, since i'm kinda a casual dungeoneerer  Combat 128 dung 72
