didn't they also scrap tutorial island, the tutorial AFTER tutorial island, several beginner's quest, the old rogue's den, and gnomecopters? the only thing they're really doing here is justifying a perpetuation of something dumb (one of many) based on the belief that since they had it before, it wouldn't be fair to not punish everybody for all perpetuity in order to be "fair", which totally makes sense compared to the whole of human advancement if this feature was only truly meant for a handful of people, the requirements overall should be more outlandish and unrealistic as to underline that they really want to get the point across that people who strive for it are out of their gourds

In other words, since in order for somebody to win, somebody has to lose, the requirement time has not been reduced, you're PASSING IT OFF TO OTHER PEOPLE. Sure, you can win 2000 times, but somebody else has to LOSE 2000 times. They don't accomplish anything at all. I suppose this is in the spirit of the game as a good portion of the game has been designed to do that. This is just another illusion to make you think they've done something when they've managed to keep their cake, and tell you to take cake from other people if you want some.

As opposed to the scaffolding we have now? I'm glad to get backstory though. The main continent has been through a lot compared to the relatively untouched eastern lands. It'd be strange if most of that was left lost to time.

how can you mistake when they're quaking? the dust effect that starts up is very visible

actually, some folks actually did use melee because people are all "raaaugh i use my drygores on everything" generally you'd do enough damage to not get to the quake part of the cycle wait darn it you already said that uh play me off jimmy *piano music* (but really, their defensive stats are enough of a deterrent to welfare combat)

yeah, i'm starting to think they should allow use of excess resources to repair armor, in the same vein as dg gear

open beta. this is for closed beta ofc the only thing i see being a huge advantage this time is the draw distance, so it's not as big a deal as far as advantages go i'll still be a bit miffed if they ignore me though

cause bonecrusher and herbicide are also dg things the ash urns are just ash urns though (the comparative cost being higher is dumb, yes)
