just as long as the damn thing doesn't try to penalize you for entering the sinkhole and then leaving by taking one of your chances, then sure

Head: 300k Body: 1.2m Legs: 600k note that this is with level 99 in the appropriate skill (smithing, crafting, or rc), the price increases if you're lower than that coupled with the charges running out faster than normal

but it's level 80 right now, so, do you mean they're reducing it to 60?

none of those will give plates by themselves, you will have to rely on rare trade good missions granted in the normal missions area getting the convict to the end of his chain will grant 25 plates, and the convict/missionary/biologist joint story mission grants 50 the rest is whaler solo or whaler/biologist joint which isn't story based but maxed out rewards 5/10 plates

let's stick with the old standby "complaining doesn't actually change anything unless they think it was their idea"

i miss when flash powder factory was exciting because there were like 20 people jostling for position

specifically, it has to get its own timeblock budget in order for it to get a proper chance, as the EoC burnt up theirs, and they only get passive update space now

i thought the 15% bonus for the workshop was just for the workshop produced items, not bank standing

5-Feb-2013 - Sinkholes + EoC Improvements
well, sure, if you want to get piles of rusty coins that don't work in runescape proper, feel free to take that chest

whenever i ask about why stuff can't be both enjoyable, somewhat hard to complete, and still gives, oh i don't know, rewards commensurate to the time and effort spent, people just shrug or give bullshit reasons about how fun and difficulty are mutually exclusive or some shit like that, or that the achievement/reward is somehow compensating for the lack of fun, and so on, and that to try to change it would be "unbalanced" or send mixed messages or be too hard, especially when it comes to doing something logically, or just taking a step back and thinking about what your actual goals are regarding the content much more recently, one of the devs let slip that they're assigned a hard limit of how many man hours any given project gets, so once they run out, they have to back off, regardless of the state of the content, which while on the surface seems to speak about "efficiency" on that level, also means that we have tons of partially finished or totally unbalanced systems due to assumptions made before or directly after release which have no bearing at all on reality, which takes time they don't have (like, say, a few days to a week after release's worth of data collection, which is of course an entirely too slow and unreasonable OF COURSE), and now we know why runescape is run like an amusement park with no safety standards and lots of dangerous fireworks to cover up the flaws i don't even

I think that since most high level players would rather get the armor that they don't have to keep buying, it'll end up as a nontraded item

plus seeing as the convict's trade good type is lacquer, it doesn't really make sense at all

Well, if you consider that PoP will remain an active piece of content for probably a couple of years at least, then it makes sense that eventually the warehouse will pay back its initial cost... Not that that is very useful if Jagex doesn't add a use for extra port resources. After getting all of the upgrades, etc, what good will 25k+ extra stainless steel do us? in as far as only the last upgrade will actually be of any use, but all of the upgrades leading up to it do not serve any purpose at all besides wasting your resources, since once you've bought everything at each tier, everything after is wasted, since the later regions take longer after full advancement to actually get to the next region that you end up piling on all this stuff you don't need for it if the cost was lower (making it an actual choice whether or not you should buy it instead of ship upgrades) or if the bonus was higher (pays itself off earlier so that there is actually a point to buying the upgrade as opposed to saving up for other things) it would have a purpose, but currently it is a less expensive cosmetic upgrade (as opposed to the port portal lol) which is really just a phoned in palette swap

Behind the Scenes: February 2013
at least zanik's back. kind of just stuck her on a bus for a long time.

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
i wish they were less crazy with the warehouse upgrade prices, there's no way in hell anybody will have a use for that much jade that will pay back that cost so it's basically a requirement to get to the last upgrade without actually caring about the benefits, much like every other damn skill in runescape

really? i've had the game say that i've maxed out at.....zero items in that stack seems legit

28-Jan-2013 Demon Flash Mobs
it's in one of the newsposts i think it'll probably be same deal as the summer outfit/crab dance :P

28-Jan-2013 Demon Flash Mobs
yeah, godcrusher was kinda strange cause it was shiny and didn't make much sense compared to demon ichor, so this is pretty much exactly what it needed. same with the assassin that was pretty but easy to spot, and to a lesser extent the dwarven warsuit's [wagon] sash that they thankfully removed from the shadow version (who even puts cloth on a suit that shoots fire), even though they still kept a large chunk of the awful color scheme shadow knight needs more contrast though

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
I had actually self debated (lol) the pros and cons of the situation, but apparently whoever's reading or not reading those things has decided that they would rather have a game that's not fun at all but prevents exploits over one that accepts the exploits as part of the game and uses other methods to balance the advantage with something else. not that we ever really expected them to do otherwise
-
11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
both are possible, i did it before you can't light any logs this way or with a pyrelord still however, you can still lay traps
-
28-Jan-2013 Demon Flash Mobs
while it supposedly means that you can't....at the same time i think there's something wrong with the fix

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
If i remember right, resource payoffs were pretty low (120) at the beginning of the bowl. Like other regions I assume it increases I just realized I'm almost to pincers and I still have a Scythe combat member in my crew...I never even noticed lol yeah, but the resources scale with difficulty, and pincer has higher baseline than bowl

gypsy also had a lot to do with recipe for disaster, which in of itself was complicated and involved lots of breaking time and space
