  1. seeing as none of the totems are actually worth building at the moment (to the point where it's a must have), i'm just saving the resources in case they actually do become useful
  2. that being said, there were full restore stations and a bank available for the entire defenders segment save for the laughably easy final stand, so if you chose to force your way through with one loadout (against bosses whose attack types were explained beforehand), then you had to deal with it
  3. given that the automatons are identical from the quest, there's pretty much no excuse for not knowing about all of the risks unless you are geared out to kill them so fast that it doesn't matter alternatively, players of that level should have already had enough training with the eoc system to know how the most commonly applied moves work
  4. well, that, and the entire thing that guthix explains to you in the mindscape it's not just a lore thing, it's an actual "break the fourth wall" message about runescape, the GAME
  5. most folks seem to just be using dual weapons instead of dealing with the lack of basic abilities you're faced with when you can't risk setting off more enemies
  6. Frankly, i didn't really need any of the buildup before the ending. I believe everything else before that could have been good or bad, and it wouldn't really matter.
  7. Yes, because the incremental bonuses are much smaller, so you really have to max out your crew bonuses to get through.
  8. That, or to continue working on his many, many shipfic tumblrs.
  9. about: sliske about: other things joke: saradomin
  10. I get the feeling that 07scape reminded them of the days where run energy sucked. I think warbands is an extension of the flash mob events, but exclusively in the wilderness, and with stuff that might actually be worth going to as far as trying to lure non-pkers into the wilderness so that pkers have more fresh meat to work with :P
  11. While I like snakehead Guthix, that vault door kinda looked too much like the entrance to the chamber of secrets.
  12. City was already explained in the last quest. yeah, city's gone cause the seed reverted. why did the seed revert?
  13. would explain why the hell seren's gone and the city's disappeared
  14. It's kinda fun standing in w2 ge entrance and watching the macroers rush in, spout off some gibberish, and then immediately get pounded into dust by a giant hand, over and over, like an ongoing circus attraction.
  15. even though they'll never admit that they just want to stay in the graveyard forever, them doing so is enough for me to have my lulz
  16. For the DIYers, rune scims drop at fire giants if you're patient enough lol
  17. In a situation where monsters ARE aggressive, you may want to bring good armor or something.
  18. I'm mostly annoyed with no actual clan chat, just the friend chat with the clan chat label lolololol
  19. the giant bounty hunter sword thing has been speculated to be the physical manifestation of the guthix edicts, given its location, appearance of having been plunged into the ground as an act of fury, guthix symbol, and that the runes inscribed on it roughly translate to "behave"
  20. i'm not even sure how this kind of thing manages to work on shareholders, well, more than once, when it's so transparent my current theory though is that they don't give enough [bleep]s to even visit the website because to them it's just an investment and they think they know what they need to from the reports and presentations jagex does what it has to in order to keep the game alive, i suppose
  21. Yeah it was only mentioned in a FAQ thread in the forums. Before I knew that, I wasn't going to become a member to vote. But now this info is a bit more accessible, hopefully others returning will see it's actually a decent option now. I think it's less convincing and more bribery, but at this point since they're not going to, y'know, unbribe everybody, there's really nothing to be gained by resisting, as any meaning that would have resulted from the poll has been washed away in the flood. i just wish people would stop getting pissy when you don't agree with them for reasons both personal and logical
  22. as before, you will be charged the second time onwards for replacing the new balmung however as it cannot be alched, you may want to extract your value from old balmung once, replace it for the free time you got for that, and then do the stuff to upgrade it
  23. unfortunately, none of the upgrades install a working chimney for the fireplace seriously that thing just points into nowhere
  24. on the plus side, there's no rares stupidness, just hearts, all of which can be used towards any goal
