Trouble with finding an SD slot on Computer
Card readers are usually an optional feature in a PC and some PC's dont have one. If you have no card-like slots on the front of your case around the DVD/CD slot usually it isnt on your computer. Does your phone have a usb cable? You could communicate to your card with your phone if it exists.

My New Computer
I would have personally have gotten at 4870 instead of a GTX 260 as your mobo is already crossfire compatible and maybe a 10k rpm HDD as you will find your 64gb missing in a very short time (Vista, music, games etc).

Screen 'sharpness'
what resolution are the games at? Usually its because the games resolution is below the monitors native res. so crank it up.

A really cool Vista utility I want to share!
readyboost isnt that great, I have read reviews that it doesnt give much of a "boost" when you already have 1gb of RAM and it is only noticeable when you have around 512mb which nobody should have when they have vista and the fact that not all flash-drives are compatible. Buying more sticks of RAM is much more easy to upgrade if you need more of it as finding the appropriate flash drive can be a hassle and the effects are much greater if you buy actual ram sticks.

standard pci video card question
whoa, Albatron are still developing for PCI but there is no current price for the PCI version of the 8600gt ( http://www.nordichardware.com/news,7942.html) but expect to pay a high premium for obsolete technology, you are much better off upgrading your motherboard to PCIe for futureproofing but that usually means an entire new computer for most people as alot of your periphirals may not be compatible.

More than 1 Graphics Card?
How big is your case, the newer 9 series cards are all PCIe 2.0 and are backwards compatible with PCIe 1.1 so if you can use a 8400gs, i wouldnt worry about PCIe incompatibilities however if you have a small case like a HTPC or anything like a Dell 530s then these large cards might not fit in. If you play to get a lower-midrange card such as the 9500GT, the PSU issue shouldnt be that much of a problem as these cards arent power hungry behemoths such as the GTX 260/280 that need dual 6/8 pin connectors, heck I have a HD3870 running of an Acbel 390W PSU with an OC'ed E4500 and it doesnt give me much problems however I will upgrade to a 550W+ Zalmann/Silverstone in a short time.

What graphics card can i use?
I dont think there are any AGP Nvidia 8 Series Cards but you still can get the ATI HD3850 in AGP but it is alot more expensive than the PCIe version as AGP is an obsolete technology now. You could go try get a 512mb ATI HD2600pro or look at the mid-range Nvidia 7-series AGP cards

More than 1 Graphics Card?
not to mention 8400gs doesnt support SLI and the munimum 8 series card required is the 8500gt

What computer? Programs/tasks to get rid of? Java compiler?
definately get a PC, the price to performance ratio totally destroys a Mac not to mention the compatibility, and whatever a Mac can do, so can a PC. Also, if something hardware wise goes wrong in your Mac (even a faulty webcam repair will leave you PC less for a length of time), the whole machine is useless unlike a PC where if something goes wrong, just whip it out and put in a replacement.

Sell a Laptop - Buy a Desktop
argh, pre-built PC's, honestly your not going to be able to run any modern games with 512mb ram, 2.8ghz P4 without a graphics card, go to your prefered online computer parts shop and look around, get a minimum of a dual core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8600GT, and 250gb+ hard drive. EDIT: upon looking at that ebay pc, it is ancient, most modern media come on DVD's now and CD drives are practically obsolete and most good computer parts companies have 1+ year or even lifetime warrantees, but its 64pounds for a reason...

My RS HD problem
looks like your graphics card isnt powerful enough.
-
Auto Aliasing
buy a new card, depends on what kind of bus your motherboard has though AGP or PCIe. PCIe is what all the modern motherboards have and AGp is now obsolete.
-
Auto Aliasing
Looks like your graphics card isnt powerful enough, as far as I know, the 6150SE is an integrated graphics processor and its not capable of doing Fullscreen Anti-Aliasing as AA needs alot of graphics card power to make it smooth.
