You can max out STALKER with 8200m? unless you are playing at the lowest res with No AA/AF I don't see how thats possible. Orange Box is pretty good value for money as well.

pfft at ricing your cars up like majority of the Racing games, I spend most my time adjusting gear ratios, tuning engines and testing tires than putting a large pieces of plastic around my car.

Whatever you do, do not scan at the same time, and only have 1 anti-virus and 1 anti-spyware active at once (but you can have >1 spyware scanners) as if you let them run at the same time, their definitions will just conflict giving you false positives.

I reckon the best racing game is GT4, 700+ cars, many tracks (forgot the excat number) and 1080i graphics... all on PS2. Sadly my PS2 broke a few months ago and I sold all my games and the only reason that I want a PS3 for is GT5.

solved my problem, turns out I have to manually press "leave game" and the game cant crash or else it wouldnt add up. ps. I find it strange how my local servers all show their pings to be 2000ms+ and when I attempt to join it wont let me but when I do join using xfire, my ping is <100 so I find xfire to be a better server browser now.

noob question but, how many points/ how long do i need to play for the points that I accumulate is added to my total score as I have played alot of partial multiplayer games but on my profile it still says 0 days, 0 hrs played and 0 points even though i have killed many people on many servers. ( If its because im not playing on ranked servers, how do i tell if a server is ranked or not?) thanks. Playing PC version btw

Probably overheating, even though you are playing on your lap and fans arent blocked, your soft legs are also good insulators of heat so air might be going in and out but the it is still very hot as not much heat is being conducted out. Play on a hard surface and see how it goes

its a custom skin so to change it, it could be accessed by (right click on desktop) properties>themes and theres a menu that you can access, this is all from memory as i don't have XP any more so correct me if I'm wrong.

Don't throw it in yet, WoW was made in 2004 i think when Dual Cores didnt exist, now Dual Cores are standard with Quads becoming more and more cheaper for the average consumer so more games are being developed for dual/quad and Im positive that there will be an optimisation update for WoW (if there isnt already) when WotLK comes out or later/sooner.

In gaming, RAM is one of the most important things as the hierachy for alot of games goes GPU>RAM>CPU as stuff needs to be stored on RAM before it is processed by the CPU (correct me if I'm wrong). Having insufficinet RAM will leave framerates very choppy. And no operating system uses the same amount of RAM, having 512mb of it for XP is enough for general browsing but having that for Vista will make your system crawl.

But the GPU is equivalent to a Geforce 7800GTX which was one of the top cards 2 years ago and is already obsolete, but still its enough to Max out WoW. I heard somewhere that the PS3 has what is like a 7 core processor but I have no idea on how Console games are optimised so I think that they mostly use CPU's instead of GPU's.
