It's actually pretty similar to the way mine works. Except our blocks tend to go in a more sensible order (though still not alphabetical). We also have different block orders for 5 days, instead of 4, though a middle school here (not my old one though) used a 4 day schedule so I think I understand how it works. Each class also only meets 4 times (some 2) each week, which is a nice thing though. And our lunch comes in waves too, we have 3 lunches. One splits class in half. It's weird. I'll post my schedule later. Still busy doing homework. :x
  2. Hah, I'm a pretty big lover of A Last Illusion myself. I prefer the Ode to Joy part though. There's some other good stuff on your list, nothing else I especially like though.
  3. I sleep something like 1 AM to 7 AM. Once I'm awake and warmed up, I usually don't get tired. Of course, waking up and getting warmed up is the hard part. That's on school days of course. If I have no reason to wake up early, I'll probably log off any time between 2 and 4 AM (and add on at least 30 minutes of reading), and wake up at 11 AM or later.
  4. [cabbage] I just messed it up in my latest try. I kind of wish you could name your saves, so I know which one to go back to when I want to try again (I'll just finish the rest of the game, might as well...and I don't feel like playing the chapter I just finished again). Look at the date and time of the saves. What, I'm supposed to remember that I forgot to bring my little gnome along at 12:43 PM on September 2, 2009? I know more or less where I forgot it, so it won't be too hard to find, I guess. Saving all the buildings near the end is pretty hard too.
  5. Yea, I can't get your map to work either. I'm fine with trading Sweden for Finland, though I don't have any claims around there.
  6. I also used the RuneHQ forums back when I played (...like 4 years ago...), and as you can probably tell I stopped using them, but continued using TIF. I think the OT section here is much better than most other OT sections on other forums - dunno about how the General boards compare though.

Reminds me of the time I was with my physics class outside doing some experiments involving the speed of sound. We split into two groups, one on each end of the block our school is on. Then our teacher blasted a foghorn and measurements ensued. Anyway, my school is in a residential area. So naturally, some old lady came marching out of her house, hunched over, and wagged a finger at my teacher (who's really young, by the way), barking "YOU CAN'T DO THAT GOOD MISTER!" or something along those lines. Though the traffic cop came a while later (it was last block), and asked my teacher what he was doing. My teacher casually explained, and the cop replied, "cool." Probably one of those things where you had to be there to get it. And I've probably posted about it before.
  8. Yea, I got that. Just wanted to clarify, since I don't have much land, and people tend to associate that with a small army. Although Taiwan's modern day army is already one of the largest in the world. My military really wasn't trained too well for offensive measures anyway, it's more of a defensive force. And I agree that not any 4 NWO countries could take on a superpower, that's kind of like saying that any 20 UN countries could take on the US or Russia, which clearly isn't the case if you pick 20 countries with a tiny military, or even no military. I think I underestimated your size myself. :P But what you can muster and what you actually have are different things. If I remember correctly, you were only maintaining a force of maybe 5-10 million (or was that someone else? my bad if it was). On the other hand, once I train all those Nepalese men, I'll have 15-20 million troops (mainly in reserve forces, if you were wondering if that would destroy my economy at all). Of course you have HAWs so that can make up for your small(er) army size. And thanks for Singapore. Now that you're part of the NWO I hope that our intersecting borders won't be a cause of conflict. As for me and oil, basically all of Taiwan is running on renewable resources, or something. We used to get a lot of oil from Indonesia (as a peace deal I had...way back when this was just starting), which was able to last as I was setting up the wind farms and solar panels and water turbines. As mentioned, there are some things you simply can't use renewable energy for, and what oil I'm able to harvest is being used for those things. And I'm hoping that the NWO has some sort of "oil bank", allowing any oil collected by a nation in the order to be used by any NWO country.
  9. I wouldn't underestimate my army just like that, Dusty. Not that you couldn't steamroll over it in a second, and not that I have any intention of ever fighting you (unless I'm dragged in by this whole NWO business or something), but soon I'll be able to summon an army most likely much larger than that of Malaysia's, though most likely not as advanced either. (just giving an example, no intention of fighting you either grim...) Which reminds me, the last nail in the final hospital in Nepal has been hammered it, so all males between the age of 18 and 40 are to be trained (probably going to take 10 years or so, there's like 6 million people to train...), and all males upon reaching the age of 18 will be conscripted as well, for 16 months) Also constructing naval bases in some of the random islands in the Pacific that I now have. I'm progressing on that automated-turret projected, I'd say 3 years until I get my first models out. We'll see from there. Plans are also being made for using the mountains found throughout my lands as shelter and fortresses in times of defense, though due to all the projects I'm already currently undertaking, construction won't start for a good few years. And my territories (last time I calculated, which was maybe 2 days/years ago) had a total population of about 78 million. Details are on page 199, though if you want to calculate yourself: -Taiwan (I modified the number that the projection gave, simply because with all that I've done I find it somewhat unreasonable that the population would go down, though maybe not up by 7 million if that doesn't seem reasonable either) -Brunei -Bhutan -Nepal -Tonga -Samoa -Northern Mariana Islands grim, now that you're back, did you ever take Singapore? If not, then I'm sending diplomats.
  10. I'll go with Ogre Island. It's not even funny how bad it is. I mean, with most other terrible games I can usually get a laugh or two from whatever makes it so bad, but...honestly? It's free and ridiculously old (explains why it sucks, eh?), so you can go take a look at it too yourself, I suppose.

Aw [cabbage] I start tomorrow. :( Only subject I'm kind of worried about is math. Not that I'm bad with the subject, but I might have an awful teacher, and only know like 2 people in my class. And Latin, because it'll be a new teacher. But that could also a be a good thing. (though it's first thing in the day...great.) Bump
  12. A name can mean a lot. I'd agree with changing the name, though do we want another Greek thingy, or should we go with something like "Peaceful Alliance of Unicorns and Rainbows"?
  13. Confirmed. I don't need/want territory in the new NWO area around the Baltic, mainly because I didn't do anything in the war (I was considering it, but it was over before I could post  ), although I'm sure some of my people who would prefer a colder climate will flock there.
  14. While we're at it... [hide=]ESnMzQZubKg [/hide] will be my anthem, or "The Black Gate Opens", which I can't find a video of. Though my battle song will most likely be this: [hide=]QTETP_mZx44 [/hide] The words that are sung translate into "Shreds of shadow, torn from life, born aloft, by fell winds. The nine have come. Death has taken wing. He will eat it all, eat all the world."
  15. I'll believe you on this (though I don't believe you'll be able to keep dusty out), but I think you should take a screenshot (it was in PM, right?). Otherwise, I can do this: I like the Ender Saga. Also read Ender's Shadow but haven't followed up on the rest of that series yet.
  16. Redoing the math, I think a GDP of about $550b would be reasonable for Taiwan. So total $580b. I tax about 25%, and I guess 20% of that can be used for various projects? So $29b to spend. Fun. That spaceship I launched a few years back reached Mars...and did something. Gathered some information for ourselves, I guess. Progress in Nepal and Bhutan is great, literacy rates have hit 70% with the erection of the new schools, and I've sent some doctors over to help set up the new hospitals. And there's the typical modernizing/improving the conditions of most buildings. Many people are flocking to Samoa, Tonga and the Northern Mariana Islands for vacations. But okay, my next project. Right now we're looking into and researching automated turrets and auto-guns, as seen in Half Life (hence the name). Then of course we'll build some and install them as part of our defensive system. Engineers are also looking into some other works inspired by Half Life, including Striders. This won't be the end of my military improvements though - we've established well-hidden and well-defended training grounds in some of my new islands, to help train all the new men I'm conscripting.
  17. Yea, sure. If you can believe it, I'm awful with Paint but alright with Photoshop, which was mainly why I was letting you guys do the maps before. But when Rpg wanted the new borders in Africa, I decided that it would be much easier in Photoshop, since the modern-day borders had been erased. I'm laying down plans for Project Half Life. Details to come.
  18. Oh yeah, another thing for the next map editor to do - color in the eastern part of India for Japan. Right now it's still brown, it should be green.
  19. Dusty, you forgot to include Hawaii as part of the HEoJ (I'm abbreviating that now), and my flag is covering the Nepal-China border which trol doesn't want, apparently. And there are some random other odds and ends that I tried fixing up, but whatever. But it's all good. Whoever updates it next can just do those things. I kind of forgot that I own a nation (or six) in the excitement of making maps (I [bleep]ing love making maps :) ). As expected, a large number of people have migrated from my new territories to Taiwan (I want to say mainland Taiwan, but that wouldn't be correct and that's just funny in comparison to mainland China). Still, a few schools have been put up, they look to be fairly successful. I'm strongly emphasizing education throughout my republic.
  20. Calm down people, I can revert any changes I made easily. [hide=Although you better be happy with this][/hide] Added Hawaii to the Holy Empire, Equatorial Guinea (that's that small country) to Germania, fixed up the borders as best as I could, removed Luxembourg's flags...Yeah. Luxembourg's main territory in Africa's borders are different in the maps that I'm posting, and the one that Dusty posted - which one is correct? Not hard to change at all so just let me know if I'm doing it wrong. (Also should probably move the "Lux." up by Congo down a bit)
  21. Because I used Photoshop, not Paint. It does things like that... :? Don't think it really matters though...? I can try fixing it up later, thought it should be fairly simple in paint too.
  22. Yea, go ahead. I thought it would be too unrealistic/overpowered if I gained like 5 different territories through diplomacy, and since I already had a conquest war in Nepal, I decided to not take Hawaii. I won't update the map for it though. :P
  23. NEW MAP [hide=][/hide] Changes: -Fixed the boundaries in Africa -Added Gabon to Sri Lanka -Added Tonga, Samoa, Brunei and the Northern Mariana Islands to Taiwan -Added Tajikistan to the Republic of Kazakh -Added Hainan Dao/island to China/Holy Empire -As deathdrow eventually did not take Peru (that was him, right?), I added it back to Brazil (I can easily revert this if needed) -Added flags and labels all over, most notably the Luxembourg flag. Seeing as you no longer have Luxembourg itself, RPG, if you want a different flag just let me/us know -I hit some latitude/longitude lines by accident, so that's why some look a bit...weird. Fix them up if you want (and some borders too, I think) So er, yeah. I got the Northern Mariana Islands through some effective diplomacy (but not Hawaii. Though apparently you just took that, Latino. I suppose that's why). I'll recalculate my GDP later tonight, I suppose.
  24. Yea, I'll put Gabon in for you. Don't think any new territories have been conquered, except for some of mine which weren't marked previously.
  25. Alright, I'll plop that on the latest map (posted by dungeonal?), as well as with a few edits of my own.
