Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
How is our height a confession? :? Nah, I know we stray off-topic...A lot... My sister is really short, I surpassed her a few years ago, when I was in 7th grade and she in 10th. She's barely grown since, I've grown half a foot. Though I probably won't grow much more. I'm nearly my dad's height now.

The trouble with Democracy...
That's true. IQ and education are totally diffrent. You can get stupid people who are well educated (see politician :P ) and you could have the next Newton leaving school early to go work in McDonalds. What about a giant intellectual competition? With problem solving, riddles, politcal stuff, etc.? A civil service system such as the one used in Sui, Tang and Song China wouldn't actually be too bad. Having a bit of democratic influence to it would be nice too.

Fantasy Baseball
Bleh. It was mainly off the one Yankee player I actually like. (Wang, because he's Taiwanese  ) I'm not sure who I'm facing this week. We're tied. :? (Oh wow, Ian Kinsler had 4 steals this week...Matt Kemp had 3..)

Texas talking about secession
Well, I would argue that the south actually have the funny accents, because the first Americans landed in Plymouth, which is in the north. actually the first americans came across the bering land bridge... ...And Jamestown was the first settlement... I forget, but back in the 1800s, didn't some guy try to make Texas independent? (I don't mean the Republic of Texas in 1836-1846. At least I don't think I do. I just remember my history teacher last year telling us about some crazy guy that had something to do with an independent Texas)

Favorite sayings
I'm bored and don't feel like thinking of the good sayings I know, so I'll just copy the "Confucius quote of the day" off iGoogle. "Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated." Yet another one I agree with.

I Think I Have a Bully
Not in Massachusetts. Really though, that's not exactly bullying. Though just about anything can be called sexual harassment or something like that nowadays. Play along, punch him, eat him, sit on him (???), whatever. I would go with playing along. I've actually convinced a friend of mine that I'm gay. (No, I'm not. I'm straight. :? )

Incest, Bestiality, and Polygamy
Basically what I think. I don't think I would ever consider any of these acts, but if someone does, it has no real effect on me.

Let's Reminisce About Old Awesome Threads.
And thus Lenin's prophecy has been completed. A thread has been put in a thread in a thread, and we are posting as we post. Damn it.

Well, Tip.it is falling. Was fun while it lasted.
That's the problem. This is the most bannings I have ever seen in such a short timespan. I do have to agree. But they'll get tired. A day, a week, a month - Yes, they're a nuisance but they'll eventually stop. You see, the white wizard will arrive at dawn on the fifth day. Look to the east. We will outlast them. Edit: Alright, alright, I'll be serious. Yes, there are more trolls/rulebreakers now than ever before. Yes, they will keep coming, I do not doubt that these are semi-experienced idiots. No, mods cannot be on 24/7. However, I do actually believe this will stop eventually...At least for now. I don't remember much about General Discussions when I actually used it, but I remember something like this actually did happen. Well, we're still here...

Fantasy Baseball
Six games is ridiculous. Yes, he's a starter, so it's basically only one game...But really... From what I saw, Beckett was already in his wind-up. Maybe Abreu called time before, but the ump definitely did not make it clear until Beckett was already about to release. And of course, if the ump randomly jumps up right before you plan to let go of a baseball at 94 mph, you aren't going to stop, and you probably aren't going to aim extremely well. And it also seems like Abreu instigated the bench-clearing. Beckett was just like "blah", while Abreu was yelling his head off, at both the ump and at Beckett. And then Torii Hunter...I don't even know.

Fantasy Baseball
Ah, so do I. As much as I would love to win, Red Sox still are the pwn. \ Riku is getting quite annihilated. I'm getting annihilated? In my current game I'm winning 8 to 2  Heh, yeah. I was losing somewhat badly, but it looks like I'm going to beat Runescapeloser. Just shows you that one day doesn't determine anything. But as a Sox fan, I already knew that. ;)

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
I live in Washington, and I saw a few news stories talking about packs of teenage girls going there. -.- I love how they referred to them as 'packs' rather than 'groups' Well they probably did say groups. BUT THEY ARE PACKS. I don't know if you guys have heard of Boston Latin, but my friend there tells me that they were invaded by vampires a while ago. As in, packs of girls (and guys? I'm not sure) dressed up as vampires. The press speculated it may have been related to Twilight.

The Metric System
5280 feet in a mile. I think. I have no idea which I learned first. But I know I prefer metric. I don't even know what a gallon is. Or a quart. Or a pint.

Russian and Chinese spies hack U.S. powergrid
If there is a war between Russia and US, the UK will side with the Americans. True. That article makes it sound like war is going to break out any day. >.< That means we truly are doomed, as we're closer to Russia. Actually, we're closer, if you count the distance between Russia and Alaska. And to get from Alaska to the continental USA they'd have to pass through Canada. Oh dear. NOWHERE'S SAFE.

Iowa, and now Vermont, Pass Same-Sex Marriage Laws
In the thread about homosexuality, I posted a bunch of links concerning how homosexuality most likely isn't a choice in most cases. I don't feel like digging it up, it probably was around page 80 or something. Anyway, even if homosexuality is a sin (big "if", little "if", it doesn't matter), that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't a choice. I think we can agree that lying is a sin. I think we can also agree that lying is inevitable. So why can't the same be true for homosexuality? And likewise, just because its a sin doesn't mean that there should be a law against it. Where's the law against lying? And at least lying can be harmful. How does two gay people getting married halfway across the country from you affect you at all?

Iowa, and now Vermont, Pass Same-Sex Marriage Laws
I have to wonder how much of that is general dislike of the Republican party after 8 years of Bush though. And because "Obama is cool"? I still think it's possible. 27 left? :?

Well, you're facing me this week, so it's fine. :P Though you have Dice-K and Beckett. Whaaat. I'm kicking [wagon] in my league on MLB.com though.

Iowa, and now Vermont, Pass Same-Sex Marriage Laws
You think Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi will accept gays in 5 years? What are you smokin'? The question was "how long it will be till *most* US states legalize gay marriage?"...most, not all. 28 states (?) voted blue in the last election, I can see most if not all of them legalizing gay marriage within 5-10 years.

I guess people get bored during the summer. :? aw. that's sad. *gives a penguin and four hundred and seventy two milligrams of oreo powder. Penguins? I first saw snow when I was four. It wasn't anything special. Now I hate it. It's raining now though. Which is much better. Though Opening Day is postponed. :(
