Might be if I knew what that was. It's dim sum, I'm pretty sure. And yes, I'm jealous.
  2. Looks great. Too bad I still don't have any money and I probably can't persuade my parents for a monthly subscription.
  3. Woah, lol, I felt a bit sick after the car-ride to my aunt's house (we went for lunch), so I decided to listen to some calming, instrumental music. Meaning Explosions in the Sky. I don't think I'm going to go see fireworks today. Don't care much for July 4, seeing as I'm not American.

Have you read Ender's Shadow. I liked it more than Enders Game, if I remember correctly. Both are great books. I like Ender better as a character, but as your typical nerd/geek, I find myself more similar to Bean. Either way, if you read one, reading the other is a great idea. (I can't believe I'm still reading The Silmarillion. It's great, but it reads so slowly...)
  5. He only posted his reason because Gallade pestered him to. This argument annoys the hell out of me. "I DON'T LIKE ANIME" "Waahahah you don't have a good reason" "It's stupid" "NO IT'S NOT THAT'S A BAD REASON" "NO IT'S A GOOD REASON" "NO IT'S STUPID" "YOU'RE STUPID" "NO YOU'RE STUPID" ...You're not going to get anywhere. Except annoy me (and probably others) even more because I hate avid anime fanboyism more than the anime itself.
  6. And if you haven't found out yet, yes, LotR: The Third Age was released for GameCube. And if you're not really a fan of LotR, despite the title, the game isn't really that closely connected to the books or movies.
  7. I know you're playing the Devil's advocate, but just for fun, I'll defend my liberal-Christian view on homosexuality. Context is crucial here. I'm no Bible scholar, but I believe Leviticus was intended for the Israelites, as they were entering the Promised Land. And I'm sure some of us have heard that Leviticus also condemns wearing clothes made of multiple materials. That obviously doesn't apply for modern society, so I see no reason why the verse you quoted should as well. That's really the only verse I know of that directly condemns homosexuality. But depending on your interpretation of the Bible, you may believe that it does not apply to you. (I decided to go look on the Wikipedia article for Leviticus - found this quote: "Christians do not consider themselves to be bound by the Levitical laws") Oh, and of course, just because something is a sin doesn't mean it has to be a law. I know this topic is about "right or wrong", rather than "legal or illegal", but I just wanted to bring that up.
  8. Uhhh... :anxious: Well it wasn't perfect entirely, but she has done a perfect job in creating an entire universe that people of all ages can relate to and become engaged with. That's true. I'm not a huge fan (not even really a fan at all, anymore), but one of the amazing things about Harry Potter is that it appeals to people of all ages and of both genders. Opposed to Twilight, which is directed towards teenage girls, mainly.
  9. A penguin. Why the hell not.
  10. Humidity is awesome? I think this is the first time the relative humidity in my current location is higher than the relative humidity in Taipei. 94% (wtf) here, 79% there.
  11. I have to wonder what the kid thinks. The whole article is about the mother. It seems like he's acting pretty calmly - I personally would've thrown my cap on the ground/at the superintendent and spat on it - though he's probably burning up inside. Ridiculous. Of course. :|

Before or after they went on the trip? After. They don't know how the gaping hole appeared on the bottom of the boat, or at least that's what they say. It made my day though, they got soaked and had to swim back to the docks. It wasn't far, only 50 feet or so. I'm sure I posted about it when it happened, but last August, I was canoeing with some friends - we decided to try putting 4 of us on a boat meant for 2. We capsized pretty quickly. Which reminds me of this past Sunday, when we crammed 8 people into a car meant for 5. I vaguely remember Lenin posting something about how he does that with his squad from ROTC or something. And something about Asians. Oh yea. We were all Asian. I have one final left (next Monday), then a half-day (Tuesday) and I'm done with school. Oh, and no school these next two days since I don't have any finals. Though I have to go in to work out my schedule, since it's absolutely messed up right now. And Tetris is awesome.
  13. And there's a reason why where I live is called New England. Basically the same. Quite rainy and cold yesterday, quite warm and sunny today.
  14. ) and - Yep. Bow and arrow.
  15. YES PENGUINS WHOO. Congrats to them.
  16. Eh, for quotes, I use the right shift, and for letters, even if they're on the right side, I use the left shift. Just noticed that.
  17. So apparently Taiwan/Chinese Taipei got knocked out in the first round of the Asia qualifier by Uzbekistan... ...By an aggregate score, over two games, of 11-0. Damn.

Nah, I'm on wireless and the connection is terrible right now. (Usually it's better...Though not great)

    I'm awesome.
  20. No, it doesn't. It implies it, perhaps. But it does not definitely condemn homosexuality. (That's a debate for another time and another thread, which is my way of saying I don't feel like arguing) And you're right, it's not like something should be banned just because it's [supposedly] a sin. Go New Hampshire. I'm straight, and I'm Christian, but I support gay marriage so it's good news to hear.

...Do you happen to be a freshman in Massachusetts? Because I took my physics statewide test today, part two is tomorrow, it's my only statewide test this year, and finals are in two weeks. (I know each school district does a different science, depending on their curriculum) Statewide tests are ridiculously easy here. I mean, I'm sure I got a question or two wrong, but you have to get 33% or less to fail or something. Oh, and I got in a minor scuffle today (I swear the other guy instigated it ;) ), it ended with me snapping the other guy's pencil. It was more like shattering actually, the broken pieces were pretty cool. Kind of like the shards of Narsil, now that I think about it.
  22. If I'm sure it's going to be great, and if the price isn't ridiculous, I might pre-order it. Or if there's a discount, or some cool collector's item or something that comes with it. Or if it's something that will most likely be so popular that it'll sell out on the first day.
  23. I agree. It just simply means you don't have as many financial problems as others. But that still leaves relationship problems, family problems, self-esteem problems, health problems, etc. In my opinion those are a lot worse. Besides providing you with the basic necessities, money doesn't do much for you at all. Yea, and it's not like money and possessions always equal happiness. I'd probably be more happy being extremely wise and only wealthy enough to pass, than if I was very rich and had an average intelligence. Though I think most of us can agree that it's rather annoying when very spoiled people get depressed because their parents won't buy them a fourth iPhone or something like that.
  24. Me: Why is he complaining about not having A/C in 16 degree wea- Ooooooohhh. :wall: Still. That's below room temperature... Yeah, isn't that like 60 F? That's like winter temperature in Taiwan. :| (It's 66 F today here, I just walked home and it wasn't that hot) Silly Scots?

Hm, reminds me of a trip I went on with my school in 7th grade. (And woo for church service trips!) Anyway, basically, I've never been a fan of roller-coasters. Back then, now, no. Just no. I went on a few of rides that didn't move as much, and was alright for a while. Then I started feeling sick. So I stopped, and just walked around. Then I managed to throw up at lunch. So I just went to the arcade. Which was much funner since I was awesome at the games. (Though it probably ended up costing quite a bit) I'm a bit confused by your post though, are the kids you're referring to the kids you'll be helping out, or friends that will help out with you? I'm going to assume the latter for now...If they truly are friends, they'd understand. They'd probably pester you for a while, but once they realize that you're perfectly serious, they'd most likely stop. Mine actually didn't question why I stopped going on rides (even before I threw up). I walked around and talked with a few of them, though I insisted they go on rides if they wanted to. Perhaps you'll be as fortunate. That is, if you're definitely sure you don't want to go on any rides. It's nice to try, but better safe than sorry, right? :P (Oh, and if we're talking about little kids, some of them would most likely be as scared as you are - no offense - so you should be fine)
