  1. Definitely. Center the text? :P // Azvi.
  2. That isn't Zezima... and it's pretty old. // Azvi.
  3. Hey, thanks for the feedback! Hm, people said it needed more contrast between background and text... so, well, I tried doing that. :) As for the apple, I really like this one better. I think it adds a short of edge and contrast to the whole image - and the fact that it looks more "realistic" is a big plus as well, imo. I might follow up on the core-concept however; making it darker. Yeah, I was actually pondering what to add to the bottom left as well. But... since I figured it would require some kind of "free-standing" vector (i.e not line-art), I just let it be. :( I'm actually thinking of installing my sister's Illustrator on this computer (if she lets me). I haven't really worked with it before, but she bought a huge book about said programme, so I might do some exercises in it. Just for fun. Once again, thanks for the feedback. // Azvi.
  4. Bumping this, as I want more comments on the new one; is it better? Why/Why not? What can I improve? // Azvi.
  5. God... I really hope this kid gets run over by a steamroller... I mean it. :? *sobs a bit over mankind* // Azvi.
  6. That is exactly the reason why all should be allowed in. A place to where the artistically-illitterate can learn to better themselves. The very reason the last board failed was due to the fact that it wasn't public-open. Even in the end, when the reqs were lax, nobody bothered to enter. It was basically just a hang out for the more serious artists here.. which doesn't make much sense. The point of this should be to better others, as well as ourselves; to improve the overall quality of art on Tipper. If we ignore the people who need the most help, what would we have accomplished...? If this is going to turn out as another 'guild', I don't want to be part of it. I don't differentiate myself from others so openly to better my appearance. If you guys want a place to hang out, im sure you could have a clan board erected for you. I, prefer however, to teach and learn. After all, isn't that one of the main things that we, as a race, do? No, Azv, im not kicking you. XP. You've just been a conveniently unfortunate match to my bottle-rocket preachings. ^^; Heh, that's true actually. Kudos to you. You've converted me. Let them all in, I say! // Azvi.
  7. Although, considering my prior experience with DAG, and what I thought of it in the end, I'm all up for this, actually. However, I think a sort of entry piece should be mandatory - because, let's face it, it will otherwise be flooded with "big cloud render pieces with overlayed premade-brushes ontop". Yes, it will probably hurt peoples' feelings, but I think it's necessary, none the less. You could place the lath (correct word?) quite low, so that you don't have to be an expert to be allowed in. Meh, just my thought on the matter... // Azvi.
  8. Witty, I didn't choose it because I couldn't do anything else, I chose it because I wanted to try something I have never even considered trying before. "Something" that perhaps looks a bit more professional than my other, usual crap. I honestly can't see the harm in that. As for questioning why I'm an "artist" (...?), thanks for that. However, I don't consider myself to be one. Just a hobby. Whether or not you find that stupid, I really don't care. Agresser, thanks. Princessa9, thanks. // Azvi.
  9. Yeah... I resized and altered the text pretty much, hence the jagged edges. Thanks. // Azvi.
  10. Heh, thanks. Yeah, I made it in Photoshop 7.0... so I guess it's "fake" vector then. As for the apple... well, I thought about what to add that could reflect the green concept, and what poped into mind was apple. So I made one. >.< // Azvi.
  11. Aah man, that's beautiful art right there. The brushing is amazing... looks really "authentic", and real. The colours are great as well! Would I still be an active devART member, that would be a +fav for sure. Great job! // Azvi.
  12. Yeah. I was reading the "sigmaking is pathetic"-thread, and I realised that I perhaps should take my "art" more seriously. Because, if you take a glance at my sigmaking thread... not trying to sound bigheaded or anything, but the things I do there don't really make me justice, I think. So... I was looking around devART (guilty pleasure...) for inspiration. And well, I saw some great vector/simplistic art there, and since vector is something I've tried to stay away from; considering the fact that I seriously can't draw for [cabbage]. And I'm really not kidding; things like perspective and good use of colours is something I am utterly incapable of. But anyway, thanks to Wyrm, I managed to create something I actually liked. He was still somewhat unsure about it... but I don't see how I could add/alter anything that would make it look better. So... anyway, I like the concept of it, and I can proudly say that I made everything in it (I didn't create the font however :P). Here it is: As you might notice, I experimented a lot with the text. Had a blast with it. :P Feel free to give me any C&C and feedback on it, you may also use it as your own wallpaper should you wish. Thanks. // Azvi.
  13. What's wrong with the road? Well, for starters, it doesn't look like one. It looks like a tree-branch (perhaps due to over-shading), and the knight is standing ontop of it, looking down. So, in conclusion, the road is clearly over-shaded, thus making it look bevelled. :) // Azvi.
  14. Not you too, Ryan! :o It's pretty nice. I like the shading. However, the road seems a bit... off? *sees a pig fly by* // Azvi.

  16. If you don't know the full story, shut up. Throughout Stoked's stay here, he has done nothing but said how other peoples' art suck (and if I don't mis-recall, I can't remember him ever giving any contructive criticism) and how we're all disappointing him. We just wanted to let him know how it feels. Yet, I stand for everything I've said in this thread. // Azvi.
  17. Bump. Btw, Black Flat, fancy paying for the signature? // Azvi.
  18. That is the shiznit. Honestly. // Azvi.
  19. 1. I never said you suck. Your sig sucks, but not you.... yet. 2. I never said the text should be "focal" (what the hell?), I just don't think a little... hm... what's the word... change would kill you. And no, a white font with white outer glow is not the answer. 3. "Any real graphic site know it takes effort to make a sig", thanks for the useless information. However, I don't think your signatures took longer than 20 minutes to make, and if they actually required "talent" and "effort", they wouldn't look like that. They would look... good. 4. Again, I never said you suck. Your sig sucks, but not you.... yet. 5. Make my own brushes, eh? Nah. I can achieve pretty much the same effect with the standard ones, thankyou. 6. Also, for future reference, just because I "can't do" the same kind of sigs you do; just because they took 2 hours to make, doesn't mean I can't say they suck. Because they do. Suck. I'm entitled to my own opinion, and I think they suck. And as long as I have valid arguments to back up that statement, that they suck, there's not a god damned thing you can do about it. 7. You sir, are just one of the illiterate people around here, and it would seem that you cannot read OR you tend to interprete the words differently to everyone else. If you EVER come into a thread and start saying "all these sigs suck, you all disappoint me" again, I will seriously damage your health, you inane fool. // Azvi.
  20. You paid 1.5 mil for those sigs? I hope 75% of the money went to the original artists who drew the characters and the other 25% went to google. I'm sure the artists will appreciate being compensated for the many hours they spent on their drawings..oh wait it's a shame. They won't ever know. And google deserves the money for providing such a great search engine where noobs are allowed to go and steal images and think they are allowed to. Glad the cash went to the right people! Hmm... the word... the word... I'm looking for the word which is most suitable on occasions like these... oh yeah... PWNED!! Nice one, Ryan. // Azvi.
