This is a signature I've been working on since Saturday. I'm a big fan of Edguy and Avantasia (a metal opera), which are both the work of Tobias Sammet, a musical genious - so I wanted to make a sig with him in it. Anyway, I spent several hours solely on the picture, trying to give it a rough, "dirty" and medieval look. This is the picture I used: And this is how it looks so far: Version 1: Version 2: Yeah, it looks sorta' different, doesn't it? :P Anyway, now to my wittle problem: as you can see in the original picture, Mr. Sammet's neck is barely visible - and in the signature, it looked very stupid. So, I decided to create my own neck, which was a pretty controversial thought considering I cannot draw. So after a few 100 layers, and after at least 10 times where I thought, "ah! I feel like it's finished now", this is what I got. I made most of the "texture/contours" with a 1px brush. Anyway... I still don't know if it looks good; proportional-wise etc. Therefore, I would like to hear your thoughts on it, and if you have some critique, please tell me how I could go about improving it. An image doesn't have to be difficult to make, nor does it require a bunch of hours put into it in order to be qualified as something "nice"; just look at minimalism. I really like it. The picture of Cobain against the dark background is a really cool contrast. But I think the face is a bit too bright. The text is also pretty nice. However, I don't think the "DementedHero" part should be bold, and it could also be placed differentely, because I think it's a bit too close to the "Kurt Cobain" text as it is now. Other than that, I love it. Great band also. :) Dare one assume you will be more active henceforth? :) // Azvi.

Hm, if you don't object, I'd like the first one. It looks really good. 1st: always liked this one. Not any unecessary jibber, just plain and simple. Liking the colours, and the render is ace. Yep. Reminds me a bit of SubDivi's work. 2nd: Never liked this one. It's a bit dull, monotone (can't spell); no real focus and the 2D is just wrong. Looks like you used an emboss filter or something. :? Me no like. 3rd: The background is sweet, loving the colours. It could do without the 2D on the right hand side. And the text could be improved. But other than that, it looks good. Very good. As for the 4th... I'm too tired to give proper C&C on that one. But it's fairly nice. Font needs work. Yeah... // Azvi.

Hah, nah, I can't do animations... and I don't really like animations in sigs either. Too distracting, and unecessary in most cases. Thanks for the comments. // Azvi.

Yeah, been in a creative mood these last couple of weeks, thus I've made some new sigs. I can't be arsed to give a description to each one; but they were all made in Adobe Photoshop 7.0... I used stock photos in a few of them. I will put them all in a random sig script thingy later, as soon as Uzzisoft starts working again. // Azvi.

What software are you using? If you're using Photoshop, go to File > Save image for web > make sure you save as jpeg and then adjust the quality-pin level. // Azvi.

I really like it. The texture is awesome, so good work as usual. The only real crit I have, which I have also mentioned to you before, is to try and make the mountains more edgy. Because they tend to be a wee "round" - the "tops" especially. So they sorta' remind me of the Bryce mountain-renders, which is never something you should strive for to achieve. :P So, keep working on that, and you will be able to produce even better renders. :) // Azvi.

I like the new version tons better. It's really (in lack of better synonyms) eye-pleasing, and just beautiful. Good job. Just one thing, the text is covering the little "gradient-bent" or whatchamacallit a tad, and it's really annoying! :P So if you could move the text a bit down, and to the right, it would be pretty much flawless. Tribes 2: Probably the best multiplayer FTP I've ever played. There's so much to it, not just the usual "point and shoot"; teamplay is a such a vital part of it, and it makes about 80% of the game. If I hadn't start lagging, it would undoubtedly take years before I stopped playing. Neverwinter Nights (original): Without a doubt one of the best RPGs I've played. The quests, storyline and its "history" is so deep, thoroughly and simply great. I don't really approve of the action-system the game has though, it's too slow sometimes (took me about 3+ hours to kill the boss in the "Shadows of the Underdark" exp. set) // Azvi.

However, I didn't expect people to think I'm a repulsive scum; that may be why I act "surprised" - hence my "defensive" replies, which I also think I am entitled to. Yeah, you know me, I'm the 4th bloody anti-christ. But seriously, if one can't wear a slightly (in lack of better synonyms) controversial signature without being labelled as someone with "teenage angst", then, what the hell? I thought it was a good thing refraining from the bandwagon. And as I said earlier, I don't want people to get upset or offended by my signature; as that was in no way, shape or form my intention.
