The "idea" has been done so many times; several objects lined up, and one of them is painted in a different colour. Whoop-de-do. When Nad showed me this on MSN earlier, I instantly saw it looked a lot like James Hetfield, so I think you did a neat work vectoring him. However, I don't like the colours much. I think a plain white background with black vector would look much, much better (but the James-vector should obviously continue having the current colours); it needs contrast. I also think you should add more... I don't know, tech-vector stuff. Because the doubled lines with a circle in the middle occurs in way too many minimalistic pieces, and it's a bit tiring. I think some lightning vector coming from the guitar or something would look awesome. But it's of course up to you what you want to add. :P Just my thoughts. Thanks for the feedback. The "bent" neck. I sort of wanted that, but maybe it looks weird, I don't know. I thought it looked alright, though. As for the right side, you're probably right. I could make it a tad bit lighter, but not too much, because I obviously want the left part to be the main focus. I will also work more on the text now. Since the drop shadow looks pretty screwed up. Right, uhm. I think the background serves its purpose, eventhough it could be improved. It looks a bit... moderate, currently. But for a first, it looks good (even if you followed a tutorial :P). As for the text, it's cool that you chose the Nightwish font (heh), but it's a bit hard to read. Too thin, me thinks (due to its small size). To fix this, go: right click the text layer --> Blending Modes --> Stroke. Add a 1px white stroke, and set the Opacity to about 50+... or just set it to whatever you think looks the best. Also I suggest you fix the outer glow; make it more focused, because it works as a blur all over the text which, obviously, makes it hard to read, as well. Just alter the "Area" pin (or whatever it's called. It's right under the Contour-thingy) until it looks good, and is more readable. Other than that, I like the atmosphere of the piece. So I think you did a fine job, especially for a first. :) // Azvi.

I used to, back at the ole' Scapeboard, but now I don't. It might sound stupid, but I refuse to support a site (at least in that way) that has pop-up ads. Anyway, don't yell at me for that. :P Some of the pop-ups even get past Firefox's pop-up blocker, which I find interesting. // Azvi.
