  1. Yeah, I have no freaking idea who the 5 best are, but my top-5(/11) favourites are: 1. Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd) 2. Janick Gers (Iron Maiden) 3. Jimmy Hendrix (Jimmy Hendrix) 4 Dimebag Darrel (Pantera, Damage Plan) 5. Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) (6). Joe Satriani (Joe Satriani) (7). Tommi Sartanen (Twilightning) (8.) Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom) (9.) Randall "Randy" Rhoads (Quite Riot, Ozzy Osbourne) (10.) Jimmy Page (Led-Zeppelin) (11.) Timo Tolkki (Stratovarius) Sorry, for adding an extra 5, couldn't narrow it down, heh. [edit] [cabbage], forgot about Dimebag. Had him in my mind when I wrote, but then forgot to add him... // Azvi.

We've got the same thing in Sweden, although they're called "fjortisar" here. What can I say? Not a fan of them... // Azvi.
  3. I actually don't pay attention to that stuff, at all - since I'm just playing by myself, for practice. It'd be different if I was in a band. So, Sjisjkebab, I advice you not to pay attention to that atm, when you're just playing by yourself, it's too much of a hassle to adjust it to every song. It tends to sound close enough to the real stuff anyway. // Azvi. It is pretty important. In the example you posted, the 4th string is tuned to E, a full step (2 frets) higher than it would be in standard, D. The 3rd string, A, is also a full step higher than it would be in standard, where it would be G. The second string is tuned a step and a half higher, (3 frets), from what it would be in standard, B. Even a half step of different is easily enough to change the sound of what you're playing. I know it's important, and I know different tunings can change the sound totally different. What I meant was, why bother with this stuff when you've just started playing? I know it's useful to know how to tune and all that, in the beginning. But if he's just playing by himself, I don't see why he should go through the hassle of change the tuning every time he attempts to play a song (unless he wants to) - but as he gets more serious about it, he could start doing it. Maybe I'm all in the wrong here; maybe it isn't such a hassle to change the tuning... I wouldn't know, but this is what I do. But, well, I'm lazy. Goodluck with your guitaring, Sjiskebab. :) // Azvi.

  5. Well, for tabs, the number represents which fret (I think is the word) to press down. And the lines represents which string. So, basically, if we take Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes, a simple song, it looks like this: e-------------------------------=-----------| C#------------------------------------------| A-------------------------------------------| E-------------------------------------------| A---7----7----10----7----5----3----2--------| E-------------------------------------------| Now, the strings are shown upside down in tabs (not sure why), so the top string is actually the bottom string. Right. So begin with holding down the 7th fret on the A string (second from top), and flick the A string one time, and then once again. Then move your finger to the 10th fret and flick that once, then go back to the 7th fret again etc. You should probably get the song, one way or another, so you know what rhythm to play. There's also a bunch of symbols and stuff, but when you encounter them, you can just do a google search, and you'll have it explained way better than I ever could. Hope that helped you. :) // Azvi.
  6. Yeah, Jens Of Sweden is great. I have a MP-110 myself. Boring design, but it's got so many features and settings. Shame it's only 256mb though, or else I wouldn't have to get the Zen Micro 5gb this weekend. Need more space. :P // Azvi.
  7. No. I've never cheated in school, because I'm not a complete loser. // Azvi.
  8. So, I finally managed to get a hold of a digital-camera. And I can't see the harm in bumping this. Sorry for the crappy quality pictures, but I took them kinda late, and it was dark. :P Right, so... a few months ago, my parents was getting sick of my boring room, so they told me I could re-make my room completely; paint the walls, new furnitures... everything. And I got to decide almost everything myself (they gave some tips etc.), it was a fun experience, and I love the result! As you can see, my room is very small. This what you see when you enter it. And as you turn around, you see this. Left wall. Right wall. As you can see, these walls are very empty atm. That will soon be taken care of, since I'm planning on buying these two paintings: "2 Many Miles In The Wrong Way" and "Painting Of A Lich. One on each wall. :) I'm a hater. A funny little thing. Instead of having a bunch of paintings, I got these plastic-pockets where I put postcards that I like (naturally not any greeting cards or cards that people send to their friends and families when they travel abroad). They're very cheap, and they're easy to exchange. :) Been shooting for over 7 years now. Quit a year ago though. :] Paul Riesser is a great artist, and I love his style and most work I've seen by him. Shame I lack space and money though. I want more from him. :( Sword I got when I was 12-ish. My semi-rare Iron Maiden guitar plec. :P I loves it. That's about it, I think. // Azvi.
  9. It's a red sun behind a yellow building. Seriously, I can't help it if your minds are so perverted and twisted you begin to see abnormal things in completely innocent images. You should all go and sort yourself out, I think. // Azvi.
  10. Errh... well, at least you're modest... It's alright, nothing special. You should remove the smiley face with the hat, as they serve no purpose -- and change the font. And please, stop using "lol" as full stop. It's stupid, and it always makes me want to take off my shoe and beat you with it. // Azvi.
  11. Your an idiot. It's people like you that ruin this board with your useless spam. You listed NO reasons, and it resulted in you looking like a 5 year old that threatens holding his breath until he gets what he wants. This board is a place for DISCUSSIONS not spam. Hey, idiot. It's people like you who no one cares about, people like you who blabber on about some false cabbage. He stated his opinion. He hates him, he hates his music, and I hope he dies. That's his discussion. Just because he didn't write a damn 500 page essay, doesn't mean he's "ruining the board with useless spam" Get bent and die, * *slowly claps hands* Well done. However, if you make comments like that you can't possibly expect people to take you seriously; they'll simply think you're a sad little loser who needs to sort himself out. So I fail to see the point in making such comments, really. Unless you want to make yourself look like a complete [bleep] -- in which case, I can say you just succeeded, and then some. :massiveroll: // Azvi.
  12. I find Marilyn Manson (the person) a bit weird, but as some people already mentioned, he's an intelligent guy... *shrug* Their music, well... I like the old stuff. I own a copy of "Holywood", and it's a great album. I also like their version of "Sweet Dreams". But they totally trashed Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus". -.- // Azvi.
  13. Matt's right. A vast majority of the members will just continue as usual, totally oblivious as to what's happened (hey, I would if Wyrm hadn't posted this). But if it's just for paying respect to the guy, I suppose it's just a "the more the marrier" type of thing. However, the fact that the other staff members hasn't made any announcements or explanations (from what I've seen anyway), makes the whole thing hell a lot more dodgier. Anyway, I haven't submitted anything to dA in a loooong time, so I suppose I can persevere for a few more days. :P // Azvi.
  14. Why doesn't he have a head in the first clip, but does in the second? I don't get it. // Azvi.
  15. Sorry, but god... I really hate those poker shows. There are like five different ones they show over here, and they're all broadcasted at the same freaking time, on different channels!! Mildly annoying. -.- // Azvi.

  17. I'm actually thinking of getting the 36lbs (16kg) one for $78 (which is about 450 SEK)! >.< *throws Korla a skittle (and Cj for pointing it out)* Cheers dude! Hear me fart skittles. 8) // Azvi.
  18. Hahaha, Bubsa, that made me laugh. But seriously though, don't cancel your Africa trip. -.- But anyway, I seem to be out of luck, because none of the pages I've checked will ship to Sweden. So I don't know what to do. :( Anyway, I found this on a website. That's 13kg skittles! You could take a swim in it! Someday, I'm getting that one. Thanks for the help, so far, everyone. // Azvi.
  19. Yep, believe it or not, the great nation of Sweden isn't so great after all. We don't have any Skittles over here! And I'm really desperate to get a hold of some. I was meaning to buy some when spent a few days in London some days ago, but I had no success there. I only managed to find this petty little Skittles-tube on the airport, but that won't last for long, I'm afraid. Anyway, I tried looking for some sort of order-thingy at skittles.com, but there isn't one (which I find odd). So I was wondering, if you guys (and gals) know where I can order some Skittles? And I want a reliable website! Not sites like Ebay... I don't trust 'em. >.> If it'd be possible, I would be very happy if you could find a site which has this... ~1kg bucket with Skittles (my sister bought one when she was in England a few months ago), but if not, I'll just order more than one product. :P Btw, there was this site somebody posted here a while back that delivered candy of all sorts, which had a huuuuge range of supplies, and that site undoubtedly has a lot of Skittle-products. But I had no luck finding it. Thanks in advance! :D // Azvi.
  20. Best of luck to you both! :) I'll be in London the first 4-5 days, but I expect loads of pics when I return. ;P // Azvi.
  21. Hah. I've had four posts deleted by staff members, and I wasn't informed about the reasons in neither of the cases. And if my memory serves me well, the last time I asked a staff member why he/she did as he/she did, I got a two-week ban (some of you know the story); the other staff members had no record of it, I wasn't informed about this persons' reasoning, not before I was banned nor after, and the person didn't even change my rank to "temporarily banned". So excuse me for questioning your "justice". // Azvi.
  22. I honestly have no idea. But since I'm in an "IT-High school" atm, I guess I'll be working with computers in the future, heh. Not sure in which area though. Maybe somekind of engineer or programmer. Advertisement? I'll figure it out. // Azvi.
  23. Mmmyeah, I did this a few months ago, but never got around to post it. I decided today I didn't like some parts in it, so I edited it a bit. http://www.deviantart.com/view/18058112/ Selene is the moon goddess from Greek mythology. CC is welcome. But I don't think I will make any changes -- however, I will take into consideration what you say, and think about it next time. Thanks. :) // Azvi.
