  1. Pff, my mate got an Ibanez RG with a trem. He had it for a few days, and suddenly the bridge came lose. He returned it for repairing, had it a few days, same thing happened again. He got sick of it and traded it for an Epiphone Les Paul. It was obviously just a bad copy, but, nevertheless, I don't want to risk that. There's also the tuning issue which, for a newbie like me, might prove to be a pain in the [wagon].
  2. New picture of mine: Getting this one after christmas: An Ibanez SZ 320. :)
  3. Okay, a lot of might-sees here: I might see Dragonforce and Edguy in February. I might see Sonata Arctica in April. I might see Dio and Uriah Heep in December I think? Would be awesome to see them all, but not sure if my mates are into Edguy and Dragonforce enough to spend money seeing them - and I don't want to go by myself. Got one/ a few who wants to go to Sonata Arctica though, so that one's probably gonna happen. :)

    Arthouse.

Ahh okay. I don't even know if we have that over here in Sweden. I've never heard of it before, but it sounds interesting. Might have to look into this a bit, maybe there are arthouse theatres here.

    Arthouse.

Wit? I understood him perfectly fine. Sad really how some people are prepared to sink so low just to make others feel bad. Daan, I'm not sure everybody knows what an arthouse movie is (well, I don't :P ), so perhaps you could explain what it is?

    KoRn

Wasn't that the guitarist, and didn't he leave the band? Correct me if I'm wrong. I know the guitarist left the band anyway.
  7. Dracula: Dead and loving it ... actually, pretty much any Leslie Nielsen movie. The guy's a genious. Dumb & Dumber The American Pie movies. Happy Gilmour. Robin Hood: Men In Tights. Monty Python and The Holy Grail - been years since I've seen it, but I remember just crying with laughter when seeing it.
  8. Children Of Bodom's cover of Britney Spears's "Oops, I did it again" is just hilarious stuff. It's also quite a nice cover. Worth a listen. Twilightning's cover of Alice Cooper's "Wind-Up Toy", while it doesn't catch the atmosphere of the original, is a very good song - very bombastic and powerful. Pantera's cover of Ted Nugent's "Cat Scratch Fever" is alright, nothing special. The original however, is probably one of my favourite songs. Long live the Nuge! :P In Flames's cover of Depeche Mode's "Everything Counts" is pretty brilliant. They're both good in their own ways, depends on my mood. Rammstein's cover of Depeche Mode's "Stripped" is just awful. Van Halen's cover of The Kinks's "You Really Got Me" has got to be one of the better covers ever made. I love it.
  9. I have to go with Futurama on this one. It's all a matter of opinion. For example, I listen to rock and metal, and during parts where people who might prefer rap or classic or whatever just hear random and incoherent noise, I can discern structure and flow that is appealing to me. The first thing I listen for in a song is basically how it sounds: if there are any catchy riffs, nice solo and/or a catchy/structured/melodic kind of melody repeating throughout the song. I'd say it's about 80% how it sounds, and 20% lyrics for me.

    Memory?

I remember eating on this palm tree-plant we had in our living room, and ripping out pages from books and magazines and eating them, was like 2 or 3 then. Also some stuff from kindergarden... around 1-1.5-2 years old.
  12. I can count the number of DVDs I have on one hand. Donnie Darko: Director's Cut. Finding Nemo. Some driving-lesson-DVD-thing. Yeah, I kinda suck...
  13. I'm still around. Although I don't post much/at all.
  14. Guitar Pro perhaps? Reading tabs is great and all, but I suggest taking a few lessons as well. Since there are a few pretty vital/useful things you kinda need to know to become a good guitarist (knowing which fingers to use when, using all fingers etc. etc.), and you learn all of that from taking lessons from a proper electric guitar teacher. I take electric guitar lessons atm(applied for a 10-hour one); and I'll have you know, I was very against taking lessons when I just started - but really, I've learned so much from them. Oh, and it takes me 40 minutes to get there by bus. :P

  16. Probably Pearl Harbour. God I hate that movie.
  17. Erm, yeah, we have one to the second floor. My sister almost fell backwards down the stairs once, but my dad caught her in time (hangovers are bad m'kay). And I once made a chair fly down it, accidentally of course. ... Hey, at least I tried to make this thread a bit more interesting. :(

  24. Okay, news just in: midis now work. However, I have no idea why or how they just started working again. Maybe the school network resetted the settings? No idea, and I don't intend to ponder about it anyway, because it works - so it's all good. :) // Azvi.
  25. Alright. I know what the problem is. Whenever I try to play a midi, the "Synthesizer" in the sound-panel thingy resets to zero - however, I can manually raise the bar-thingy, and it works. :P So I guess I can live with that. Thanks for the help. // Azvi.
