This is already happening in real life. Everyday, people pursuit illusions: job level, class, physical appearance, money, and so on. Most people will run after these things all their life, only to realise at the end that they are illusions.

Am I being selfish just cause I quit and still have a rare?
highlanders replied to jak722's topic in General Discussion
Well, this was an exchange, after all the guy did offer something in return for the rares, something of equal value. But, looks like nikel was still attached to his Rs possessions even though he quit. -
I would choose the 3000 people. I would feel sad for losing my loved one, but not guilty, and I'd continue living my life knowing that I did the right thing. You can't compare 1 person to 3000 people. Each one of those 3000 people is the loved one of many people. Choosing the 3000 people over your loved one is an act of sacrifice, you sacrifice a part of your happiness so that 3000 families don't have to suffer the same pain as you. That's a sacrifice I'm ready to make.

So the 22 yrs old women "raped" the 13 yrs old kid... Notice how they didn't say any details? If you ask me, the 13 yrs old wouldnt have accepted to see the women after she sent him porn on the cellphone unless he had made the choice to do it... I think people are arresting her and the kid's mother because 13 yrs old aren't even supposed to have sex by the law.. But again, I don't know what happened. But the lack of any information on how that would have happened led me to think this.

Work out in the morning before you eat buns 2x more fat. You start burning calories only after 15 minutes of continuous excercise so it pays off to do a few, longer periods of excercise. Wait 1 hour atleast after a meal to exercise or your body will burn the calories in your intestines and not fat. Monitor your heart rate, if it goes too quickly you will burn carbohydrates instead of fat, go at 60 to 80% of your maximum heart rate. Start at 60 then slowly go to 80 as your body adapts. Don't eat so called "healthy" processed products, it's lies 99% of the time. Instead, cook by yourself, use biological if you can(more vitamins and minerals). Eat millet or buckwheat instead of plain wheat. Never eat enriched flour products, stay away from "fake sugar", it's better than sugar, but still bad for health. Drink green tea in the morning, it has numerous healthy benifits. Eat almonds and brazilian nuts, they help to lose weight in small quatities however. Don't cut too many calories from your diet or your body will go in "panic mode" and cause you to gain weight after you stop dieting; "yoyo" diets. You must make a whole lifestyle change, there's no "diets", this is a permanant change, and you must eat healthy your whole life from now on, or you will gain the weight back. Don't eat any sugar exept sugar from fruits. If you stop eating sugar altogether, after a month, the "sugar craves" will disappear. Try to gain lean muscle, it will speed up your metabolism. Move a lot during your day, that will speed up your metabolism aswell. Olive oil is your friend, excellent for health, but very fat, so use in small quantities. And that's all I can think of right now. Good luck, and do what highlander says :)

Go see a doctor, if you have symptoms you may have something, but not the thing you think it is.

it does hurt the people who are trying to do something where the riot is taking place, and they're getting spammed and lag. seriously, i wish these rioters would do it on the forums.... jagex really doesn't care if you do anything in the game as long as it's not illegal. and those rioters that aren't spamming with "@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@" aren't doing anything illegal, and the ones whoo are jagex doesn't like because they're breaking the rules. these riots are futile. There's a simple solution for that, it's called do-not-visit-world-99-fally. Or even easier, turn-chat-to-off..................... That riot really does not harm. And as I explained above, it's not futile, it's liberating for the people doing it.
-
I agree, it's not the end of the world. But I believe in liberty, and that people should be allowed to do what they want if it doesn't hurt anybody, and rioting doesn't hurt anyone. If it makes them feel better afterwards, then that's good. I regard this as "group insanity", and it can be quite liberating.

The Bermuda Triangle : Huge Mystery or Paranoia?
highlanders replied to Stone69_Eyes's topic in Off-Topic
Sorry to go off topic but I thought this was pretty funny... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6165254.stm :D How mischevious of you. You compare this with the case of man that is obviously guilty of the crime and that happened to write a book. Sorry but there is no connection between being guilty and writing a book, and as this quote above implies, it is a worthless assumption in front of a court of law. -

Nadril, wind and personal attacks, that is your retaliation? Perhaps you have not noticed, but I for one, haven't lowered myself at doing personal attacks as you have since the beggining of this little argument. Learn some respect. You do realise that witnesses can be used in virtually any case that goes in front of a judge in the law. Nobody would ever be able to resolve any case if they assumed without any basis that every witness lies. Sorry but writing a book is not a basis to prove that they have lied. Someone can write a book on a murder aswell, it doesn't mean the person lied about the murder, and certainly this assumption would be without any value in front of a court of law. -

The Bermuda Triangle : Huge Mystery or Paranoia?
highlanders replied to Stone69_Eyes's topic in Off-Topic
Oh no, I really don't underestimate it. Most of you are living proofs. The medias creates narrow-minded people everyday. Most of americans believe "terrorists" truly exist and are going to attack their country at any instant. That's paranoia. And in the same way, medias make people believe that because something cannot be proven by their dogmatic scientific point of view, it is automatically lies, without going any futher. I would really like to see how a man in a boat could make an electronic camera work while all the other instruments don't work, and film everything that goes on. But there are still details to prove their story. One of the accounts I've heard was two men who were at sea for 3 days in the normal world, and came back with very long beards, yet they were totally shaved when they left. The analogic date counter of their ship still worked, and indicated that many months had past. Of course, that 'cannot be proven' but it doesn't mean there's not something going on there. -
Tigra, do you have issues? Did I talk to you? Learn some respect. Automatically because someone has not the same opinion as you, it makes him a [developmentally delayed]ed? Very mature, wow. And for your information, I eat biological products every time I can over 'normal' products, they have better nutrition, and are better for health. It's very idiotic to try to assume what I am eating. Just as we speak, I am taking my breakfast, and I am eating a cup of organic hulled millet, with some organic olive oil in it instead of the typical "butter". So really, shut up, and learn some matters young man.

1. No. What's the point? 2. No. Unless they have a tangible application for this. 3. No. Unless they have a tangible application for this. 4. No, I'd probably not eat that. There's probably no problem with it, but especially since this technology is recent, you never know what might happen. 5. For food? No. Even for others things, no, why make suffer an animal? 6. How would that disadvantage them? "Omgzz look we have cloned meat hahaha!"?

The Bermuda Triangle : Huge Mystery or Paranoia?
highlanders replied to Stone69_Eyes's topic in Off-Topic
I think there's something going on in that area. It's really thinking highly of people to think that they'd be able to create such a mystery over solely paranoia. It's true some ships come back, but the passengers seldom tell stories of the weird things they experienced or saw. A typical story is the people telling they were lost months at sea, and in the real world they were only away from a couple of days. Their electronic instruments stopped working and didn't know where they were, but analogic instruments kept working. They would see strange lights in the sky, and weather could change at any instant. Of course, most people in their narrow-mindness will say that all of them lied, suit yourself, but I believe them. People have really, no point in lieing about things like this, especially if it makes them look likes freaks to their family and friends. I think there's indeed something strange going on in that area, something that has to do with space, time and magnetism. -
I like the update. PC was just totally killing variety, which was my main preoccupation. I couldn't train elsewhere, maybe excluding slayer, without that subtile feeling I was losing my time. Now, well, the craze is over. Things should get back to the boring normality in a few weeks.

About the panties I mean ;)

Weird.. That's normal. Just take anything package, it usually does not add up. I'm pretty sure it's because the grams of the elements do not weight the same thing as the weight of the actual result.

That would be Ignorance is Bliss. I forget where its from but my Dad says it all the time. No that wouldn't be it's meaning. Total ignorance is bliss. It's very comfortable to believe in everything that you are told. You are robbed of freewill, or rather, you are not aware that you have freewill, but your life is effortless. Good example is government, people who nod and agree with everything the government does no matter how immoral it is. Total awareness is bliss aswell. But in the case of total awareness, you own total free will, liberty, and greater power of action. In the case of this silly thread, bballer is right. "Ignorance is bliss" is just a much more complex concept.

That's disturbing...
