  1. I think the guy's idea was to get something like the sandwhich lady and screw up on purpose. Do you still keep your runes when she telies you to a random spot or do you get them converted to points?
  2. Software mode is usually much better than safe mode by the way.
  3. I *almost* want to buy spins for a chance to get those. But no.
  4. INTJ. But I dislike that test. Too many black and white answers. Half the time I wanted to say "both those are wrong". I tend to want to change based on the environment. I am definitely introverted, but the other 3 tend to waver a bit..
  5. s/faster then/not/g That should fix it with a little sed magic. AFK methods are primarily grinding for some other goal as you aren't even primarily playing runescape. On the topic of expansion: I do think there should be more things like wizard hunting and here are some suggestions: 1) Only show runesphere icon on the floor it is on, and allow more runespheres per day but still cap at 1k dust a day. Make the dust do something other than exp. (Like how stars have a function) maybe like: 20minutes of bonus runes. 2) Make the yellow wizard the same for everyone, and/or point out where the nearest blue wizard is on the map whenever you have a new wizard to find. 3) Make the wizards have a rightclick give which gives either the correct rune or pops up a window to click the type you want to give. 4) Make different creatures spawn in different spots. (So each spawn point is fixed, but creatures move) Along with this reduce fail rates slightly to account for extra travel time. 5) Add puzzles, make the wizards ask for things instead of just 10 runes. (Challenges you can accept and complete for bonuses) These bonuses should be different. 6) Make esteem ranks matter somehow. Potentially adding new map start spots, ladders, pathways, or lower fail rate. 7) Allow points to buy "rune starter packs" OR buy a special storage box that allows you to store runes IN the runespan so that you can take a break. It is incredibly annoying to restart from zero travel/wizard runes when you exit. This wouldn't allow you to permanently keep the runes but it would encourage taking breaks for farming, other activities. As it is now, runespan is isolating from the rest of rs because the gameplay demands that you choose to stay in the span permanently until you are done training. 8) Make some paths which cost more runes, and maybe require higher level (or esteem rank, or wicked gear?) that allow faster travel between points. Maybe they teleport across the map faster. It is reaally annoying to see a wizard/spawn on an island that you can't reach unless you go all the way around! 9) Make the wicked hood bonus free stuff withdraw as runespan versions while inside the runespan. (So you can grab starting runes for travel once a day). There are more but you get the idea.
  6. Chasing nodes can be pretty good, but it depends a bit on luck. It would help if you are counting chaos and up, since those spawn a lot more often than skulls and up.
  7. Offtopic: No such thing, Alg!!! Ontopic: The new mechanics are beautifully done when properly balanced so that nodes are useful instead of non-existent (metagame wise)
  8. I think you'd be surprised how many of the high level runes came from RC. Certainly most of the lower level runes are drops, but astrals are rare as drops, and a lot more of them came from crafting.
  9. They should. But I don't think this should be true of every skill. It should be less cliff like though. For example, more money should give faster xp rates, but it shouldn't be obscenely faster unless its obscenely more expensive (ala demon thrones). And there should always be skills that reward some other aspect of the player. I want to see variety like there is now continue. I don't want to see every skill turn into prayer. But neither do I want every skill to turn into agility/runecrafting
  10. Yea I think they should provide a group of options at varying cost levels, where non-AFK (ala focused paying attention 100% of the time) is worth more xp/hr or cheaper gp/hr than methods that are AFK. (so AFK should be either higher gp/hr or lower xp/hr than other methods for the skill) Preferably without making all skills into "gp = massively higher xp" I dislike that prayer, herb, etc can be done way faster but at a very huge cost. (because then people who already have gp or find gp easy to make have an even bigger advantage)
  11. I agree with Den. The month is alright, but nothing ground breaking. Unless of course Optimus/FPS fixes.
  12. There are a lot of things playtesting can't find (It is difficult to simulate thousands of people at once on line.) This is why beta servers would be more useful. Even if that means information leak. They do have playtesters, but sometimes playtesters just aren't the fastest way to find some bugs.
  13. Strange, at least it's better than the hotfix nerf!
  14. Nodes seem to have been fixed :)
  15. Not pure afk firemaking at the jadinko lair because you have to get (untradable) curly roots, but it's way more AFK than oldskool FM. As for updates, achievments always get "lessened". But 200m in anything is still a huge achievement. Let alone having so many in some of the most tedious skills.
  16. Awesome. I sure hope this stays fixed. I want to have nodes not just spam the freaky monsters. Also, anyone know how often runesphere spawns?
  17. The levels should have their own node caps.. come ON jagex, that should be damned obvious. Think about how the game plays when its abandoned not just when hundreds of people play it.
  18. I was wandering around the top floor trying to figure out why I never saw any nodes. Now i know why.. That's lame. Ugh. The creatures fail more and give less xp but they always respawn so you don't have to run around to find them. Hope this gets fixed.
  19. I thought the timecalc hasn't been updated since we lost the effigy rate, and there isn't enough data to figure out the current rate... It would be interesting to get the timecalc without effigies though.. But it would be inaccurate by a lot because the effigies still matter.
  20. Head-desk. People don't even read the front page it is kind of hilarious. :(
  21. Because Jagex has all the data now, where as rs wikia won't have the data till players obtain the items. I am guessing that based on the rates we have now that Jagex wiki will be updated with (semi-correct) data before we as players have access to all that content. I trust wikia more than jagex wiki overall but this is for new information that players can't get yet because it takes so long.
  22. We should have all the rewards on the jagex wiki 24hrs after the first update :o Too bad I hate waiting that long :(
  23. Maybe its the next wave of graphics updates or something? Really hard to tell...
  24. It's general as well, meant to help prevent some potential scams due to sets having significantly different price points than the pieces separately.
