  1. Kietaro1: While I find your post to be the most well thought out and suggested on this thread there are some minor misconceptions you have about me, that were probably my fault from what I have posted. Firstly, let me say, I already do MTK and Herb farming. Well more recently I put it to a halt for time constriction reasons and the fact that I cannot get on everyday anymore due to work, school, females, friends and/or other things in life that may occur. I will start up eventually when I get more stable in my schedule. I am willing to take the time to get the 99's. I do like using the most efficient methods meaning the best gp/exp but I am also willing to take time. Hence why I got 99 (well 98) woodcutting on willows instead of teaks (not the greatest example but there is still a 30k+ difference in exp/hour.) With fletching I also took my time and did the classic yew longbow method (before string x and it netted me a pretty 16m) I do like efficiency but I am willing to take the long way when training. Like getting 99 defence at firegiants or 94 range there at rates of 23k range exp/hour. Instead of chinning or using Yaks. That's why on top of the fastest, most expensive I also asked for the cheapest, but longest way. I like to weigh the ups and downs then decide for myself. Now as someone told me making battlestaves actually loses me money. I am willing to do it once I figure out what the ups and downs are.. What is the exp/hour that way (or should I say exp/64 staffs) how much loss is it? I am willing to put in the time if I have the numbers. Which is why I asked people to go in to specific detail on each thing they suggested.
  2. I think members is worth the money. Its only $5 (U.S.) and you get so much more in the game. Only if you are going to be playing of course, but still worth it.
  3. Pretty much, unless you plan on getting members there is no reason to keep the items. So drop them, forget about them, and enjoy your bankspace.
  4. Dropping members items on a F2P server just means they will disappear. No one will be able to see them.
  5. I think hunter is your skill. As long as you are not looking for something that you can click and be done with (wc'in or fishing) Hunter should make you 30m+ (I will make 26m from 80-99) it gains faster exp than both fishing and wcin and the cape is more impressive than both. Sounds like your skill of choice if you ask me.
  6. There is a lunar spell called humidify that refills your waterskins for you. You wouldn't be mining a full load of granite before dropping anyway so the space the runes takes up really doesn't matter. You can fill your invent up with the runes + the rest waterskins, saving 2 spots for granite and you will be set forever. You mine one, drop one. Simple as that.
  7. varrock 3 is worth it unless your going to need the smithing requirement but 64 compared to 32 is a lot I am pretty sure I have all the requirements except 67 crafting which is needed to make the air battle staff. I could do that rather quickly though with a couple hundred green d'hide bodies(718 to be exact). I don't mind as from what I hear there is profit to be made with battle staffs.
  8. Granite maxes at about 60k but the exp/hour varies upon the type of granite you get. The heavier pieces give more exp which means more exp/hour. You can get as little as 10k exp in an hour. It averages out to about 45k though. Mining in any other form other than powermining, I think, would take extremely to long and be a tedious waste of time. :-# Just my two cents.
  9. Can anyone explain to me a little better about doing battle staves? or maybe point me in the direction of a guide that will explain in full detail. I know pretty much NOTHING about it so I need any and all minor details. Would getting Varrock armor 3 be worth it as well if I were to go this route?
  10. [hide=Video of how to craft 3150 nats/hour] [/hide] He's doing 3k+ before 91 rc'in. Goodluck with your own RC'in attempt. Oh before I forget, here is the link to the Guide I found it on (Tip.It guide) Fastest & Most effective Way to craft Natures - Up to 6300/h
  11. Fastest possible method without doing Stealing Creation and wasting money. The time it takes to get points for that stuff adds on to my total time, it only takes away from the cost. If there is a method that gets me 100k exp/hour but costs 200k gp/hour versus a way that gets me 90k exp/hour at the cost of 100k gp/hour I'll take the extra time and get the 90k exp/hour. I am looking for the most efficient methods so the best gp/exp is what I am interested in. You are forgetting the time it takes to get the items. Not to mention the time it takes me (someone who has never played) to learn how to play. I am not interested TBH. Can people stop telling me "If you do 'x' SMART." What the hell does "smart" mean. Just explain it instead of taking shortcuts please. (Not meaning to be mean or rude, but I am just saying, its easier to understand explanation instead of a word that has a specific meaning to you but is unclear to others.)
  12. I edited my original to add Con and Range/Mage (with 30m) I know alching for mage, and I know items that can only give me 50-70gp loss per alch but I was thinking of something that's a little more exp/hour for a little more cost. Not bursting or cursing for sure. I hear stunning is 80k exp/hour but it is also expensive as all hell.
  13. Stick with Torags. It gives you the best defence. Some may say to use veracs but you won't be praying so you really don't need the prayer bonus. As for what slayer master to use, I always say to use the best master you can. So go by that.
  14. Like I said everyone DOES have access. (As long as they've completed the quest  ) Usually slayers have money for cannons too, however, they prefer to use their money elsewhere. So since they CHOOSE not to use a cannon it doesn't give them the right to cry over "spilled milk" when a cannon user comes to use the fast respawns of that world. Anyone who trains in worlds 2,6,9 or 144 should know there will be cannons. So whining because a guy with a cannon came along really doesn't make you right and him wrong, whether he asks you to hop or not. You don't whine when someone else with a whip comes, do you? Is it fair that you do when Mr. Cannon gets set up? I think not. And like I said, its your CHOICE to not use a cannon. So the fact that Myth is ranked 7th and doesn't use a cannon really doesn't serve a purpose in the discussion. They choose (like I said) to not use it, however, they cannot complain when someone with a cannon comes along since they chose to use something that increases their slayer exp/hour. No one's name is on the training spots, so there is no need to ask permission. Respect? There is no respect on RS, its a GAME. If you want respect go become president (or leader of your country) or go invent something spectacular that the human race has been living without. Don't expect respect over the internet.
  15. Actually, 92 is half of 99. But that has nothing to do with what I was talking about. I did not take into account the fact of swapping out weapons for STR training. However, with the SS (which is faster exp/hour than a d scimmy and defender) your exp/hour get closer and closer to a whip. So with the gap closed to an even closer margin, I do believe that training them individually, even though you have to change weapons, would be faster than controlled.
  16. 50m wouldn't even be close to enough for 99 con would it? Using Oak Larders until 74 then Oak Doors to 99? I am bad with construction calcs and plank costs etc etc. I just want a buyable, expensive, 99 lol : ---- Or how about being able to obtain 99 range and mage 25-30m. I would be doing range with chins (OBV) but don't know what to do for mage. I have 94 Range. and 90 Mage.
  17. Try Reading Tip.It's Guides before posting questions. The Manual on the RS main site works wonders as well.
  18. I am a firm believer in use the best slayer master you can. So I suggest Duradel.
  19. First off let me say I searched the Debate Club forum and found nothing of this type so I will bring it up in hopes for a good discussion. Browsing through the H&A forums and reading threads about gaining melee exp, you will see a number of people suggest to train controlled because it is "faster". My question I am bringing to light is, however, does controlled really make your training faster? I have seen a number of people talk about how they always save defence for last since they gain "more" exp with doing attack and strength first. Being able to hit higher and more often surely means you should gain faster exp, right? But, what if you train all 3 at once instead? Would you be killing three birds with one stone (so to speak)? Wouldn't it, in theory, be faster to gain defence exp with 99 attack and 90 strength than it would 90 attack and strength? What do you guys (and/or gals) think? Would training controlled serve as a viable ultimatum instead of getting all to 99 separately? Or am I looking at this all wrong?
  20. Not to go out on a tangent but training each skill separately results in faster exp than controlled. (In theory) Everyone, who doesn't train controlled, tends to train like this: Str then Att then Def Since they can hit higher, they will gain att exp faster. Since they can hit higher and more often the will gain faster def exp. In theory. So if you train controlled then you are missing out on the "faster" defence and attack exp since your levels will be the same. Make sense? Again this is all theory, but it makes sense. You will get to 99 defence faster with 99 att and str at 90 defence than you will with 90 attack and str at 90 defence. :-#
  21. Simply put, everyone has access to a cannon. It's not limited to this player or that player (maybe players with more cash flow have easier access to it) but whose fault is it that you are to poor or have to much "pride" to use a cannon? Not the guy that just logged in whose setting his up, that's for damn sure. And I am a stubborn son-of-a-gun. I am the guy that sits there and fights the cannon guy even though I know I am losing out on exp. But I still do not argue with him or nag him to leave. I know cannoners are coming and if I don't bring mine I am more likely to get bullied out of my spot. Happens everyday, either you can whine or keep moving on in your life.
  22. A fury is more worthwhile than a SS so do NOT sell your fury for a SS. In fact if you have to sell anything to buy a SS it's not worth it for you. Don't get me wrong I am a firm believer in using a SS over scimitars for STR training. (I dunno what Lady_Ninane is talking about, the SS is faster and I find it to be more accurate than a Dragon Scimmy) Even though the SS is only 3k+ better exp/hour when you are in the 80's and going for 90+ or even 99 that extra 3k or more adds up a lot. Maybe if you get a slayer task and hit big with a Vissage drop or something like that then look into getting a SS. If not, then I would advise just sticking with the D-scimmy + Defender and NOT selling any items to get a SS.
  23. Can anyone clean this up a little bit? I am intrigued but have not the slightest idea what he is saying or where to start.
  24. Are you trying to help me or what? The only thing I got out of this was "ulti you're a noob.. go screw yourself".. IDK I guess I read between the lines wrong?
  25. I was averaging 215k exp/hour which is about 850 bones. This was before summoning. I don't know about how fast it is otherwise.
