Because it is the fastest method for rc exp to get to 44? Because it has been tested and used over and over and over and over... (continue thousands upon thousands of times)..? Because you know nothing about efficiency? 3,058 fire runes to get to level 44... crafting 28 a trip minimum (no pouches) it would take 110 trips. Each trip takes a total of about what 40-50 seconds. (We will go with 1 minute a trip for the sake of argument and the ease of math) so you are doing 1 trip per minute. In 60 minutes you can have 60 trips done. (60 minutes is an hour just so you know. That leaves you with 50 more trips to complete. So another 50 minutes. For a grand total of 110 minutes (Yay math is fun! =D> ) or 1 hour and 50 minutes. This number is lower though since trips can be done, on average, in under a minutes time. If you can get the FoG earth rcin gloves 2 times (they run out after 1000 ess is crafted, if I am not mistaken) as well as craft the runes in under 1 hour and 50 minutes then go right ahead and do the earth runes. As I hear it takes about 8 matches (2 hours of work) to get 75 points (the cost of earth gloves) you would need a total of 2 gloves which translates into 8 hours of FoG to get the gloves not to mention the total time it takes to craft the runes. You are still looking at 4+ hours. Compared to 2. As for cost, since you brought it up, well let us see. Duel Rings cost a grand total of 1,022 gp each. 109 trips at the cost of 4 trips per duel ring = 47.5 duel rings. (48 for the sake of round numbers) So that's 49,056 spent! :ohnoes: Plus an additional 134,552 for the rune ess to craft the fires. Total cost being 183,608. Now with 3,058 Fire runes you can resell for 27,522 which brings your total cost down to 156,086. It took 2 hours to do all that, but since FoG way takes 4+ hours you still have 2 hours or so to make back 184k.. which could be done in half an hour at Aviansies or Green Dragon killing. You would have to make less than 92,000 gp/hour for this method to pale in comparison to FoG. Umm, clear up confusion on why people use fire runes now?

Why does everyone show so much resentment toward 99 fletching, cooking and fmin JUST because they are easy to get? Okay so you don't want 99 in those skills, probably because they are easy. Does that give anyone the right to tell someone else they don't deserve a simple "congratulations on your achievement"...? Why is it so hard to say that? Because you do not approve of getting an easy 99 for the cape (which is a nice alternative to a fire cape, should one not be able to get it) they are undeserving of a congratulations?

Why didn't you continue to run out the second set of doors to the entrance of the waterfall? A few more drained pray points and hp from spider would of been a much smaller loss opposed to trying to hide from a shade, would if of not? Lesson learned. :-s

The only increase in exp/hour that's better than oak larders is oak dungeon doors at level 74 Con. So stick with the larders.

I haven't tested it out yet (the 2 summons) but I am planning on using an Arctic Bear. You should be wearing Larupia clothing so the fact that the summon is native to the area is really irrelevant (I would think). And yes the 1 box method does catch chins faster and more efficiently, but try to keep yourself on a level world with which you can reset your traps. If you go on a highly populated world (1700-2000) you may have trouble keeping up with the respawn and traps. If you fall behind it is hard to catch up, you lose your rhythm and you should probably reset all of your traps and start again. I like to stay in worlds with 1300-1600 population. With 5 traps I find that to be good to maximize my chins/hour.

Eww forget all of these difficult and time consuming suggestions. FoG gloves? don't waste your time, in the time it takes to get the points you could of had 44 by now. Just use Dueling rings and craft fires. It should take you a grand total of 5 hours to get 44. Tele to Duel Areana -Run out the gate and then north Into the alter, craft your runes -Tele to Castle wars and bank REPEAT. Simple, easy, tested and proven. Just like the thousands of people before you have done, use this method.

How about you take your own advise and stop spamming threads that you have nothing to contribute to. Now I see how you have 3.4k posts, pure spam. ......... Anyways, I am pretty sure that you can get more melee exp than ranged if they were the same level or even if your melees were slightly lower. Its all about where you train. Certain things are weaker to melee than range, and the time it takes for you to get situated in a safe spot (IF you have too) can also reduce your range exp/hour. A good rule of thumb to have is pretty much, if you can kill it faster with melee, 9 times out of 10, you will be getting more melee exp than ranged. (There are some outliers like Yaks since I believe running from Yak to Yak makes for slower melee exp, whereas you can just stand in one spot with range)

Seeing as your gaining 100k+ exp/hour its actually not boring since you level very quickly.. its pretty much that simple.

Fire Giants are my fav. Ankous, bloodvelds, gargoyles, nechs, bandits, hellhounds, lessers, greaters... lol lots of stuff.

Can I ask you how getting 99 melees faster at powertraining spots is considered "No-lifing" but getting 99 melees over the course of a year with slayer isn't? So are you saying that the 15 point gain from 1 task is equivalent to 60k worth of runes? or whatever it is your buying with the points. OR Is it 60k total after completing 10 tasks in a row netting you 210 points total, granted you were using Duradel (w/e his name is) the whole time.

I have a defence cape... untrimmed. and 2 skills, soon to be 3 at level 98. I find it amusing when people call me a noob since my cape is untrimmed and I am 126 combat.. Yet the only cape they have is fletching or cooking or firemaking. (Things you can get in a months time) I enjoy my untrimmed cape which is why I keep my stats under 99. Do I have the right to demand respect.. no, this is a game I really do not have a right to ask anything of my fellow players. So I can see where you are coming from there. However, I do respect all skillcapes, whether one person or 40,000 people have 99 in it they all get my respect. Am I impressed by someone with 99 fletching.. not necessarily, but I do respect them for taking the time to grind away at it even if it was only for a couple months and not a year. Also, just so you know, with enough money you can get 99 construction in a very short amount of time. So you should of used RC'in or mining or agility even, as an example to get your point across more thoroughly, since they are the longest skills to get 99 in along with slayer. (As far as I can remember)

I think I will go the opposite way with everything I have heard. I say take a break, the longer the better. If you have some type of other game you enjoy playing, maybe a console then do that. It will take your mind off of RS and when you decide to come back and play, IF you do, and you have unfinished goals they may seem more "valuable" for you to complete now. Some are saying, "why are you suggesting playing a game, get outside".. Okay well does anyone really spend 100% of their time outside anymore? Even 50%? Everyone doesn't have the 400 friends you have :roll: and there is not ALWAYS something to do out of the house with others. And if you were to go out by yourself, have you ever actually stood outside by yourself? It gets rather boring rather quickly (I know I am an only child) Doing anything by yourself is as boring as watching paint dry or wallpaper fall of a wall... its just not enjoyable.

70 prayer Fury Arma Helm That is what you should be looking at right now. If you melee more than you range then fury should be the number two spot. If all you do is Aviansies then the helm can go into the second spot. The helm is 4.2m and you only have 2.5 currently.. meaning once you actually get 4.2 you would spend it on a helm.. definately not a good purchase. Wait until you have at LEAST double the cost of it.. at least.

When I went to talk to him he didn't respond and this continued for a half hour. He logs out again and the "real" him logs back in. He asked me if his acct was logged on for all that time and I said yea. Come to find out he lost everything on his character but luckily for him the 11 santas in his bank were saved by a pin.

The money rates at all the best slayer monsters are nothing compared to runecrafting. Thank you, even with the low rate of profit per rune made nowadays the profits still far outweigh slayer. It is also faster to get 99 RC than it is 99 Slayer. The only factor that would make slayer a better choice would be the CHANCE that Jagex introduces a new monster with a highly priced reward. However with that you also have to consider the amount of time spent on getting the drop too. All in all, if you are in it for the long-haul on each (which I am sorry to say but it will be a huge challenge) and you want more money, then go with RC'in. If you are not really looking for the higher money earner then go with slayer.

I feel your pain. I am wc'in to 98.9 (about 100k from 99, don't ask why) and I realize that a lot of autoer's are woodcutting bots. On top of that I like to WC with my chat OFF. (I cannot stand being asked my levels or w/e, if you really want to know please look on the highscores) Anyway, I get about 4-9 randoms an hour. (not including nests) ents being the main time killer because I do look away from that window often. Many many many randoms, not all of them are the time consuming ones but when those do come I loath them. There have been times where I have been enjoying myself on RS and get a maze, then I just log out because I cannot be bothered with it.

Now I read your entire post, and I still cannot understand where you are getting 135k profit per hour. There is no way that you are completing 2-3 tasks in an hour, at least I don't believe so. Maybe I am just inefficient but I take at around an hour and a half to do 180+ bloodvelds, and that is WITH potting, no praying though. So how is adding 60k to the already a fore mentioned 75k even plausible? Maybe I am just soo oblivious to what everyone else does when slaying, however, I doubt it. I do believe cannons speed up dagg and kalphite tasks at LEAST by double the amount, but I am yet to see anyone use a cannon at bloodvelds, Abby Specs and Wyverns, in-fact I am yet to see a cannon anywhere but kalphites and daggs.. and I do not believe the profit made back is enough to pay for the cannon, nor for the 2x or 3x more you would of spent without one. I just don't see it.

I didn't realize you wanted a NEW (well newer) spot to train. I found Dusties and Kurasks to be pretty fun too. I use broad bolts for much of my ranging and Kurasks I enjoyed just because it was something I never did before (prior to getting the slayer level) and the Pineapple drops were great for my farming. I was also enjoying myself at Aviansies even without the profit I would of enjoyed myself, but when they get crowded the fun dies down. I think it's just the thrill of the GWD area, there is always something fighting.
