guthans
If you have double the price for it.. or at a minimum 3m more than I would say go for it. As long as you are using it frequently I would say its worth its price. I have 68 summoning and still use my guthans. Bunyip heals good but sometimes not enough. As long as you are not standing in a multi zone and messaging friends with it on and not attacking anything then I would say you could make back the cost of repairs in the 15 hours you have. Also, when you do decide to repair look through the Runescape Official Forums for a house with an alter, join that persons CC or PM them and see if they have a repair stand you can use, usually if they have a guilded alter they have a repair stand also, and just about everyone is willing to show you where it is in their houses. (There houses get to be rather huge so finding it could take upward of 10 mins make sure to ask for help) That will cut the costs dependent on your smithing level.

defence training..
Well rock crabs and experiments (creature of fenkenstrain quest req) are some of the most popular training spots for people of your level range. Rock crabs are extremely crowded though. Experiments are where I trained to 99 defence myself. Both provide NO DROPS though. Well rock crabs have some okay drops but experiments only drop bones, however both require no food at all. If you chose not to go with them Moss Giants are a good option other than that. They are pretty good exp and provide good stackable drops like seeds. Baby blues are still a good way to train as well, remember to bury those bones. The fishing guild is right next the mossies north of Ardy so you can fish your own food there if you can get access. Slayer is probably the best option though. Use the best slayer master you can. Slayer provides a good variety of monsters to face as well as better drops as you gain more slayer levels. This is probably the slowest method of def exp you will get however it is the most satisfying at least for 3/4 of the RS population that does combat.

Sara Sword Vs D-scim+defender
It is easily and when I say easily I mean in a matter of minutes to hours able to be bought and sold these sara swords are. It you take a loss then its like you payed 500k for the sword (which at the rates hes getting would be the MAX loss he'd take after reselling back). Whip beats it overall in what? Attack and defence training, yes, but there is still str training.. so its not really overall. Training all 3 separately is much faster than training on controlled (as I have had my eyes opened to this recently) Therefore to say it beats a SS overall is quite inaccurate. It's more factual to say the whip beats the SS in att and def training. However, the SS is miles ahead of the whip as far as str training goes, hell I would even go as far to say that using a Mith scimmy will get you the same overall str exp as using a whip on controlled. --- In short the SS is faster than the D scimmy and well worth the price you pay for that speed. If you were really pressed for money, you could lend it out until you cover the cost of the loss you took (if any) and then resell the sword which means you break even. Also, in the time you spend lending it out do something else prosperous which in turn gives you a profit. If money is the reason as to why you were questioning buying the SS throw that out the window. If you have 10m+ then the SS is a great investment that anyone str training would be lucky to have. It's not necessarily my opinion as it is factually a based statement.

Sara Sword Vs D-scim+defender
The Sara Sword is the BEST weapon to train str with. That's not opinion either.. Its only 8m, since your getting 450k (max) with d scim a day I could see you getting 500k with SS. Which cuts down your time for 99 str by days at least. If its worth it to you then go for it. You could always sell back the SS when your done with it anyways. I personally own one and never use it anymore, so I lend it out and have made 500k so far just on lending it out 35-45k at a time. Think of it at a return on investment  . Its a hot item and people are willing to pay to borrow one.

Something doesn't seem to add up...
Does anyone remember the old Duel arena style of Boxing? I am pretty sure that someone with 90 att 80 str and 99 defence beats out someone with 90 att 99 str and 80 def at least a majority of the time (7 out of 10 in that range) With 99 defence and 92 att (@ 80 str) I can only remember losing a few boxing matches to people with 95 att 99 str and 70 defence. (in that general area) I would agree with you though, str does seem to own all. Even with high attack it seems the pures with 70 att and 99 str beat out the opposite (both with 40 def)

1 itemers in Pvp
I 1 item but rarely get kills. Come to think of it I rarely 1 item. I did a bit of mage bank 1 iteming prior to the death of old wildy but never got a kill. I admit I cannot PK worth a damn. (Probably due to the super high defence, 99, and prayer,85, levels I have. As well as 85 str) For me its just a chance to experience PK'ing without wasting money on full rune and other items like that which I would be WILLING to lose in a 1v1 fight. Its the thrill of the fight. In fact the other day I went PKing and some guy asked me to fight. I accepted and we had at it, him in dharoks and me in full rune with a zammy book. Just as we both were getting down to our last bit of food (at least I was lol) 2 level 130+ players with AGS jump in and ko us both. Those guys are worse than 1 itemers if you ask me. I mean if that didn't happen and I won I probably wouldn't 1 item anymore and have confidence in my PKing ability, but to know there are douches out there that do that when we were having a good fight. Makes me question legit PKing and find it not as fun as 1 iteming.

Hello, my name is Robert. And I own a cannon.
Don't sacrifice your exp for the sake of others wanting to whine about your cannon. Simple as that. When I am training at Kalphites and someone logs in and drops a cannon down, I just hang around and continue on or log and hop worlds. I don't curse them because I know if I wanted to use my cannon I would be doing the same exact thing. For the people who train slayer in the highly populated worlds, they know what they are getting themselves into. Crowded and cannons, for the speed of exp. There is nothing to complain about. Keep getting your exp, when someones says something about your cannon simply add them to the ignore list and carry on gaining the fastest slayer exp you possibly can. When it's all said and done and you have 99 slayer while they are still at 80 then you have the final word. And all that crap about being nice asking.. you don't have to do it. Is it courteous? Sure, but if you ask them are they really going to say "Sure put down your cannon and hurt my exp rates"...? Highly unlikely.

Farming Help...
For your regular seed woes go with willows. They are about 2.3k and well worth the price.

Strength Training
With that equipment you could do experiments. It should be about 40-50k exp/hour. Something like that, and its completely free to train there, must have completed Priest in Peril and started creature of Fenkenstrain until you get to the point of entering the grave though. Mossies would be good exp with a bit more money from all the seeds.

Nechryaer
CT definitely, close together, fast respawns (on populated worlds) pretty much perfect. The drop rate on charms I don't believe changes one bit, so you should be quite alright in that department.

Fastest pest points/xp
Well with a good PC clan, Heart Unit 108+ f2p. It took me 7 1/2 to 8 hours to get my full void(with a 50 pt head start.) On average you can get 100 pts per hour at the Veteran boat with a good pc clan. Losing 1 game an hour. I averaged about 108 pts/hour but you can max at 112 possibly 118. That's if you never lose a game and boats go automatically when you exit a game and re-enter the boat. Since you are not near the HU reqs, I would say just go on the pc world on the 100+ boat and it should take you about 11-13 hours factoring in losses per hour at peak times. You should lose about 1-3 games an hour. (not should but more than likely will) My advice to you is try to do what everyone else isn't doing. If no one is defending the void do that. Make sure you close the gates, take that responsibility on to your own shoulders no matter what. And just play smart, if your at a portal and the portal falls, don't stay there and keep attacking the monsters go to the next portal to help out there.

summoning 41 to 57
Unfortunately for you green charms are the pits for exp and rather expensive as well. As for 41-57. -I did honey badgers till 46. -Then Pyrelords till 49. -Bloated leeches to 52. -Then a mix of bloated leeches (mainly) and terrorbirds. This way is extraordinarily cheap about 500k if I remember right. (Maybe even half that so 250k)

Canafis
I tele to edge, use the fairy ring there, then use fairy ring code C K S to get to Canifis. Pretty fast. Fastest would be house tele then Khyarrl Portal tele. (Which you need the mage level [66] + con level [50] to get access to)

Partyhats are back.
Lets hope they don't go to high :P . Now instead of being 110m away from my yellow I am only 40m or so. Gotta love it.

High Alching?
When you find it let us know.. lol jk. The best things around now are probably ruby or emmy braces. The loss on them maxes at 118 ea, but It may be less I am not exactly sure of the price. Here is a list of commonly alched things and the losses per alch: Yew Long: 133 gp ea Mage Long: 116 gp ea Emmy Brace: 113 gp ea Ruby Brace: 96 gp ea Green Bodies: 121 gp ea **Nats priced at med 233 ea. Every other price med price for Nov. 18, 2008.

Crush Weapons
Waterfiends would make back money spent on sup att/strs. And why don't you want a SS again? Because its 2 handed?.. it would be your best choice if you were to use pure sets. If not then use the spear. Anything else would be pretty much inefficient and a waste of time. Also, since when is 80 defence "to high"?? I am pretty sure there is no such thing as to much defence. I mean you are training summoning which means you are not a pure... so there should be no need to keep your defence low. Just trying to understand your POV here.

ranged training
Well if you have the money for chinning but are looking for a change of pace from Ape Atoll, then you could always do mummies in the Chaos Tunnels for a bit more return on the money spent on chins. However, Ape Atoll is still the best place for range exp in the game. (Correct me if I am wrong) Aviansies are not to bad either, I plan on training there for awhile, maybe a couple levels then just chinning my way to 99.

Bronze Arrows VS Bronze Bolts VS Bone Bolts
Anyone can make 10k in a matter of minutes.. fresh off tutorial island you can. So to say that the amount of money he has is that minuscule is pretty much a ridiculous exaggeration on your part. Since he is ranging he obviously has knowledge of the game and a will to play. (Yes ranging usually isn't someones skill of choice at first it takes time for it to grow on you) With that said I would say its safe to say that he has at LEAST 100k (I think we can all agree that everyone has owned 100k cash at one time, no one sees a 100k in a bank pic and goes "WOW 100k AWESOME, HOW DID YOU GET THAT!!!!) Therefore with 100k and a knowledge of the game he should be ranging things that provide a monetary return suitable for using broad bolts since the are ONLY 65 or so gp each. Unless he is power-ranging in which case bronze/iron knives would be the best choice anyway. See where we are getting at when we say use broad bolts? Don't get me wrong bone bolts are good (I still got 43k of them bad boys) but I have since jumped on the broad bolt bandwagon and haven't looked back, nor regretted it for that matter.

Quickest way to get 85 Mining
This will be the last post I make in this topic, but I believe its necessary. To put it rather simply, there is NOTHING to understand. You recognize that power-training is significantly faster than any other training methods, do you not? (I believe you have stated this) You acknowledge that fact yet you still do not "understand" why people power-train. It is for that exact reason, FASTER exp gains. Since you understand that power-training is faster exp, you are pretty much arguing for the sake of arguing. Whether you realize it or not, which obviously you haven't, you already know WHY people power-train.

Bronze Arrows VS Bronze Bolts VS Bone Bolts
I am pretty sure broad bolts are better than all of those... combined :P . But seriously though broad ones are better, a bit more expensive but worth the cost even if power-ranging. Out of the 3 bone bolts are your item of choice. Also, another alternative are iron knives, as someone has already said, they are pretty good as far as general training goes.

Quickest way to get 85 Mining
Your logic is flawed here. At least for about powertraining. (I do not claim to know anything, nor do I want/need/care to know anything about these sacred tool items.) D-Jay pretty much summed it up though. Powermining granite, ranging from 10-60k exp/hour. (Dependent on the type of granite you get most) Mining gold, 15k exp/hour static. (Just using D jays estimate) The thing that makes it sensible to powermine is in the time saved you would have to be able to make the same amount of money, if not more, as you would of spending the full time just doing gold. It's not a matter of being a "noob" because you are going with a faster way of gaining exp for the sacrifice of profit its more of a question of EFFICIENCY. Efficiency and persistence are what any good skill trainer needs in order to get the desired skill levels in the shortest time span. We could all mine gold for 99 mining and cut willows for 99 wc and fish monks for 99 fishing and train on experiments or whatever for 99 melees and do serum 207's for 99 herblore and use fire giants to get 99 range and curse to 99 magic... but is anyone really planning to play runescape until they are 80 years old?... I highly doubt it. ----------------- As for you Roflcopters, granite is the fastest way to 99 without profit. Ranging anywhere from 10k exp/hour (minimum) to 60k exp/hour (maximum). It varies with each hour and solely depends on the type of granite you are able to get within that given hour.

Slayer master choice
I just use Ardy tele, then boat, then cart. To get to duradel. As for who you should use. I always tell people to just use the best slayer master they can, so if you can use Duradel then get to it.

Bursting..
If you ever plan on powertraining summoning (going for 88+) Then rock lobbies all the way. If you just want the 99 mage fast (or whatever your goal may be).. I would still say rock lobbies. If you don't want to take a HUGE loss (but still a rather large one) either mummies or rock lobbies (rock lobbies won't make you back a lot of money but the allure of all those charms should be enough to sway you in that direction)

buy an onyx stone??
With the assist system you do not need high crafting or magic. That's the beauty of it. There are plenty of people out there that will help you. Also if you don't already have a fury, it is a great necklace to have. Especially if you do a lot of combat based training.
