  1. I forgot to mention, so I will do so now, I am nearly 100% AGAINST, making staffs. I can't really get into it. If I absolutely positively HAVE to then I will but I would prefer other methods.
  2. Well recently I have decided to drain my phat fund. Only 59m but a nice chunk of change. My question is, would it be possible to get 99 herb with 50m? (I am willing to spend 55m on it, that way I still got money left for essentials that I may need) -So how would I go about getting 99 herby with 50m (current level is 63 :( )?? -Is it possible? -I would prefer the best "bang for my buck" method not the "cheap" way. -I more than likely will NOT collect seconds so don't suggest it. As well as farming my own herbs, it won't happen. ---------------------------- Okay so lets say I cannot get 99 herb with 50m. Can I get 99 crafting with it? What would I be making to 99? (current level is 64) -Pretty much same as herby, I would like the best "bang for my buck", not the cheapest way. -------------------------- Would both be achievable with 50m, in a 6 month period, with the absolute cheapest or next to cheapest way? --------------------------- 50m wouldn't even be close to enough for 99 con would it? Using Oak Larders until 74 then Oak Doors to 99? I am bad with construction calcs and plank costs etc etc. I just want a buyable, expensive, 99 lol : ---- Or how about being able to obtain 99 range and mage 25-30m. I would be doing range with chins (OBV) but don't know what to do for mage. I have 94 Range. and 90 Mage. ----------------------- A few more things... As usual please just answer the questions, don't give me your opinion on the matter as I did not ask that (at least I don't think I did).. So don't say "blah blah blah, set your goals lower" Just answer the question, I will report the post, I do not like spam. Just links to guides or anything of that nature would be grand, as I am currently on my phone (yea long post on a phone imagine how my thumbs feel) and not really able to look for guides let alone read them.
  3. I will not laugh or put you down my friend, because Karma is a son of a gun. I have 2 skills at 98 within 10k of 99.. if I got them 2 99 without realizing I would feel like a  ... (I like my defence cape untrimmed lol) With that, I will say congratulations, and good luck for the future  8/10. Max that combat. :
  4. I don't know how many bars per hour (even though I have done 20k bars before, never kept track) I do know that Nietz is better than Port P. They are kinda the same distance away but you don't waste time with the door.
  5. I would go with something else, like mining or RC'ing. Herby is a good one. Since your goals are already to get 85 slayer (assumption) then you obviously enjoy slayer. Yes 400k slayer exp would be a very good boost, but you could stand to get that 400k on your own. Why not spend 400k on something else, something you HATE to train. I say go with your least favorite skill.
  6. This should be asked in a PM. --- On my first Nech task I took my Bandos pl8, d skirt, whip+def.. all that good stuff. To heal I used guthans (worked rather well) The death spawns arn't worth killing, don't bother with them. I killed them in the Chaos Tunnels and it was a rather successful task.
  7. Barrows is still pretty much the best training armor in the game. (Some will say Bandos, but Barrows provides better defensive stats, Bandos is an offensive set) Whip + Rune Defender is still pretty much the epitome of fast training. (for attack, defence or controlled) For Strength there is the Saradomin Sword. Best str training weapon in the game. Anyone who says a Godsword is the best weapon in the game, don't listen to them. Godswords are mainly spec weapons. (Like the DDS) A smart player will spec with it when needed then switch to a whip or SS to finish the kill. Don't get me wrong they are a joy to have and use, but when it comes down to fast exp whips and SS's are better, and I don't believe a weapon that's sole purpose is for its spec qualifies it to be the "best".
  8. I don't know what all these people are talking about saying "Don't buy for looks"... buying for looks is pretty much all rares are good for. That's like saying "Don't buy elegant for looks" what other purpose does it serve? I always say, if you want a rare, can afford the rare, and won't be broke later, then buy it. Rares nowadays are only good for looks. Merching them is slow and painful money and buying them as an investment has been a let down ever since restricted trades came. They go up but very very slowly so much so that it's pretty much not worth it. So buy for looks. If you like the look of it, and you want it, then buy it. What's the point of having the money if you don't enjoy it?
  9. Full Void Snakeskin boots (Ranger boots if you got the money) Archer Ring Fury Accum (for range bonus) or an obby or fire cape (for better defence stats) Dark Bow Dragon Arrows I am no PKer but this seems to be a popular KO outfit.
  10. Anyone who hasn't grinded to a 99 I don't believe their opinion really matters. Especially when their post is all negative like "Don't do it, you WILL FAIL!!!!!" things of that nature. Just because they made an attempt at grinding and failed miserably so they put down anyone who can do it or want to do it, with their negativity. If your going for your first 99 you can do one of 3 things(though 2 of them kinda go together): 1- Do the skill you enjoy the most until it is 99. 2- Do a skill that is just really fast exp. (cooking and fletching being the main two) Or a skill that is really fast exp without the ability to AFK (Like thieving or firemaking) 3- Do a skill that is completely AFK'able. and watch videos on Youtube or whatever. Things like WC'ing and Fishing. I personally did the first option. Got 99 defence as my first 99. After that it was all kinda down hill, I how have 2 more 99's (well within 10k from 99, not trimming my cape) and I am working on a third. Yes I have set 99 goals, and yes I have burnt out horribly. Take a week or month break from RS came back and gotten right back down to business. It's a matter of getting over that hump and looking down to see how much more you understand what a 99 skill takes to achieve. Then reapplying what you know to your next skill and next skill and next one (should you choose) ---- If you find you still can't concentrate on a single skill then maybe taking a break from RS and coming back in a week, or two weeks, or even a months time will probably help you focus more.
  11. Why do you need to put your house in Yanille? Wouldn't it need to be where the house owner's house is, which might not necessarily be Yanille? Using your own, can't you put it anywhere? Anyone whose anyone, at least with a normal brain. Keeps their house in Yanille. Since its so close to bank (at least closer than the others) so it maximizes the amount of people coming into their house, which reduces their loading time when coming back into their house. That's why you use Yanille. ----- They usually last 1-2 trips. Depends on how fast you are.
  12. About 850/hr is it's 215K xp/hr. cant you get more if you use a familiar to hold more bones? All my training was before summoning, but I would suppose so that using a T-bird or higher would make for faster exp/hour.
  13. First off you got 50+ con. Put your house in Yanille. Use either the house owners glory or your own glory or duel rings to bank. Use earth and laws in your invent, wield an air staff or use house tabs. This makes for the fastest exp/hour without using your own gilded alter. (Trust me I know from experience, I did it running for about 10 levels, then I got 50 con and did it teleing and got and got 75-85 faster than I did 65-75) It is about 215k exp/hour on someone elses alter. I am not sure how many bones that translates into though.
  14. Thanks for the guide input. Sometimes, though, people do not have enough time to read things for themselves. Or Just want a group consensus as opposed to trying to figure everything out on their own. Thanks again though. --- Well it looks as though the best exp/hour comes with a Salve Ammy (e).. I was hoping it wouldn't come to that. However, I did ask for the 'Best' exp/hour and that is what it will take. Thank you to all that answered. If anyone has anything to add feel free, I am far from going for 99 attack (working on cooking now) so at least a month, but it never hurts to have a plan ahead of time. ;) I did see a certain post that caught my eye that had numbers in it... lemme rummage through and find it. Here it is. So you are saying for 10k LESS exp/hour I can get a profit as well as summoning exp. Is there more hassle to the Armored Zombies than is meeting my eye. I see that I have to have at least started defender of Varrock. (Haven't done that) Is it long into the quest or not so much? Would it be worth it? I like the idea of a profit and summoning exp at the cost of 10k att exp. Whats the catch, do they take longer to get to? Are they incredibly crowded? Lemme guess they hit through prayer or something? Its multi? You need a friend to get in? (DK's anyone)
  15. Okay so I am looking for the MAX exp/hour for melee. I am currently 96 attack looking to get about 5k from 99 (don't ask). With that said let me make one thing clear: NO SLAYER Obviously I will be grinding.. . I am currently 206k from 97 attack. Minus the 6k I want to be away from 99 give me a grand total of 2,321,658 exp from 99. (Well 98.9) If you leave a suggestion, please link to a guide. If you do not want to link to a guide then give the following information: Exp/Hour What NPC Equipment Method **Hassle Factor (Explained below) **Hassle factor, what is it? Pretty much is the NPC a hassle to get to? Far from a bank? Require quests? Require special equipment (salve ammy (e), void etc...)? Things like this would be nice to know. Let me make another thing clear: I have 59m... I am willing to spend money to get this fast. Pots, Piety whatever I don't care. Here are my stats: (in case it matters) Attack-- 96 Strength-85 Defence- 99 Prayer--- 85 Hitpoints- 96 Magic---- 90 Range--- 94 (don't think this matters) I have 200 Questpoints and access to just about everything in the game. That's pretty much it, Thanks in advance.
  16. Your post is ignorant TBH. So what you use up more food, the point of PKing isn't to go out there and the first 5 minutes K0 15 people with 30 seconds of fighting. People WILL run out of food eventually, and after that its may the best man win. If they eat, eat and eat, then are out of food and make a dash for the exit, then they have no business trying to PK. If you are willing to win items you have to be willing to lose them too. PK'ing is a 2 way street, noone wins them all. And your comment about farcasting. I will say this, PK'in is PK'in. There is no such thing as fighting like a man. Just because you use melee doesn't make you any more of a "man" than the guys using mage or range. The real "men" are the ones who step up to the challenge and out-think their opponents by bringing items to hybrid with (D-hide anyone?).. Stop whining about it. Do NPC's slap on a protection prayer and run away from you when you are safe spotting them? No. So why cry about it when your are in a PLAYER KILLING area. You should be prepared for as many situations as possible to limit yourself from dying. Period, Point blank.
  17. What about high alching?? Your missing out on that too. I do not think using lunar is worth it. Just move your house to Pollovinech. House tele or House Tab and its just a few steps out. It is also helpful if you have an alter in your house to recharge prayer. Slayer rings.. waste TBH when your house is right there.
  18. Sallies until you can do Red Chins is generally a popular and fast way to do it. I don't know the numbers on the SC butterfly net, but butterflies are not really that good of exp anyway so double that I don't think would make your exp/hour that much better. (or more than sallies for that matter)
  19. 8 hours total?? Even if it speeds up the exp/hour by 5k, over the course of training to 90+ you would have made up the 8 hours it took to get it and then increased your exp/hour. Which as we know reduces the amount of time it takes to train further. #-o Did you forget the invisible bonus it gives? +10% to attack and strength. Based off stats alone none of the void sets would be worth getting. People get them for the invisible bonus not the stats.
  20. I am a little tired right now but I will give you my best attempt at a good answer. : It depends on what exactly it is you plan on training on. If you are training on something like Yaks, Experiments or Rock crabs, then Void Knight would probably be a good pick up. When you get 85+ in all your melee stats waterfiends are a great place to bunker down with a bunyip and Void melee. However, if you are going for a more traditional way of training like with slayer, then obviously Void melee would not be able to be used (since a black mask is recommended) So in short, monsters where lower defence is needed I believe Void Melee would outshine normal str boosting gear. With slayer though, its a no-no. Depends on which method you will be getting the high combat stats with.
  21. The demon is actually less efficient as far as gp/exp goes. Just a little FYI for you. Regular butlers are pretty much the best bang for your buck. Like Maple logs for firemaking.
  22. Not necessarily. Junk is usually something that is left over from training. For example I just got done getting 99 wc now I have 45k willow logs that would probably take a month to sell all in GE.. so I will just keep them and use as junk. Junk can also be something that you got from killing monsters. A majority of my junk is addy and rune javs which never sell in GE. Along with poison rune knives things like that. Yet another way to get junk, which is like you said going to cost you. Is to make it intentionally. For example. You buy 1k maple logs. Min price for log is 36 max is 38. So will be spending 36k-38k You fletch those into maple longbows (u) Min price for maple long (u) is 144, max price is 152. Now you have 144k-152k worth of junk. Minus the cost of the logs 36-38k equals 108k-114k total junk.
  23. Well if you are "power" training farming, forget all about allotments. They fill up your inventory to much and make trips longer than needed. As well as giving back to little exp to make the extra banking worth while.. Your herb plots should be: Toadflax Ranarr Snapdragon Any of those 3 will give you a good return (I personally like toadflaxes, other people are infatuated with snaps) I would say go with toadflaxes though. Then snaps once you get a bigger pile of cash. Your Flower plots should be: Marigolds Thats pretty much the only thing to plant there, nothing else is really good. If you have some spare limp seeds in your bank then you could do them, but other than that stick with Marigolds. Your Regular Tree plots should be: Willows Maples Willows are the cheap way (best exp/gp some would say). Maples are more exp however they are significantly (or at least were before the price skyrockets) higher priced than willows. I personally do willows. Your Fruit Tree plots should be: Pineapples Hands down, pretty much your best choice for a fruit tree. Nothing else really compares and this is where a bulk of your exp should and will come from. Once you hit 72 farming you can also plant a Calquat seed for extra experience. I do not know in terms of cost/exp how but this is what people have told me to do to maximize exp. You should TRY to do 4-5 herb runs a day and 1 run of each tree (It is possible to do 2 regular tree runs in a day) Always pay your tree farmers (1 basket of apples for willow trees/1 basket of oranges for maple trees and 10 watermelons for pineapple trees) and always supercompost your herb and flower patches.
  24. This is only possible if a person is WILLING to pay that amount.. If there we not people WILLING and ABLE to pay 15m for black elite, then people would sell it in the GE for the price it was suppose to be sold at. Do not blame the problem of the people who get the drop and have junk to boost the price to the highest bidder... Blame the rich people who are saying they will pay 15m for it. Simple as that. Too bad jAGex didn't make the quest a requirement for wearing it because then not every rich person would be trying to buy one and those that need it for the quest wold have an easier time getting it. If those who started the new quest, got it as a drop or w/e and DIDN'T drop it then you wouldn't have a need to buy it. I like to say "Oh new item I just got as a drop, lemme just drop it anyway shouldn't be useful"
  25. At 50 ranged you shouldn't even be considering chins to use. Hell at 70 range you shouldn't be considering chins to use. The words "cost effective" really only mean your ability to make more than you spend. So if you can afford it then both would be "cost effective" but wise to use at 50, neither of them would be from an exp standpoint. What is your income per hour (Gp/hour) ??
