  1. Well arn't you just a helpful henry today... :-s -- Anyways for Attack and Defence nothing compares to the Abyssal Whip.. and nothing has for years. For Strength you have a couple of options. The flat out best for Strength is the Sara Sword. However, for 7m less you can use a Dragon Scimitar and Rune Defender and gain about 5-8k less exp/hour than you would of with a SS. There is also the "Obby Combo" which consists of an Obsidian Sword (real name: Toktz-xil-ak) and a Berserker Necklace. This is also about the same exp/hour as a Dragon Scimmy and Rune Defender. (**I linked the information on the "Obby combo" to each specific item. In case you had anymore questions) Simple as that my friend.
  2. Haven't heard anything like that but if they come out with an Achievement cape I can see myself completing the Diaries.
  3. Try the PvP trick... Vesta and Statius armors are worth a ton but are hard to sell on GE.. Getting one is like getting one is 3m+ worrth of junk pretty much. My friend has 20m worth of these items from PvP tricking in a week.. The only real cost spent here is oppourtunity cost. As far as actual money goes you gain back everything you spent. The trick is to build up drop potential without getting killed lol. If you could find a way to get maple longs (u) or whatever thus maxing fletching while in a hotspot and not running back into a safe zone you are doubling your junk income. (I heard of some bank that doesn't count as a safezone so you could try to find it.. I forget the name but I am sure its a hotspot..) At least try to get 100m for that pretty little present you got. 33m is nice but its not 100. May sound greedy but I don't think the price of 3rd age is goin down anytime soon so you got plenty of time
  4. I don't piety but I do use super attack and super strength pots. Btw, defence is more useful than attack and strength imo. It allows longer boss hunting trips easier monster slaying etc. You will get flamed to hell for saying that, but I agree with you. I enjoyed getting 99 defence at 85 att and 80 str. Why not. There is no need to be efficient 100% of the time. I am still only 85 str and never felt better about it. With slayer it will take you months upon months(probably in the range of 3- 3 and a half).. with Armored Zombies it should take you 1 to 1 and a half months.. maybe 2 at the most. I am doing Armored Zombies right now instead of slayer.. I prefer the grinding. (Guide linked to the words armored zombies *hint*)
  5. At 67 you can use agility pots and pot up everytime you get below 70. (It will get a bit tedious after a little but you are getting the MAX agility exp per hour you can get after 70 only you are getting it 3 levels early. I did this and never regretted it. The pots are the cost of dirt. There is pretty much no reason NOT to do it. Just my opinion from experience.
  6. Alot of people like to slay while they farm. 1-2 tasks and check your herbs. Rinse. Repeat. As for cash, green drags I hear are upward of 400k an hour (650k+ with your stats) You could always do that, do farm runs (which take a total of 5-7 mins when you get the hang of it) PM compfreak about a good method of doing greens. He helped me out more than I could of ever asked when I was new to doing Armored Zombs. (Now I can max my exp/hour ) You will be killing them in the chaos tunnels too, that much I do know. Keep at it, you could get all the money you need in a week or 2 with enough dedication. Sometimes you have to make time for RS instead of real life. If you have nothing better to do why not :
  7. Monks are better exp/hour than sharks. The quest is easy and the end result is worth it. If you are looking for profit then fishing sharks at 90+ would be the best time to fish those. Up until you hit 90 fishing you should be doing monkfish. Swordies may work but with the amount of Tuna you get I am unsure if it would be better than monks. Do the quest, fish the monks earn yourself 12m+ in the process.
  8. Having the butler is miles faster. Since by the time you finish building and removing the larders (2 per invent if I remember correctly) your butler is standing right next to you with the unnoted planks waiting to be taken. Then you send him back out... Build, Remove, Build, Remove... and hes standing right beside you again with some planks for you to use. Very efficient.
  9. I had that many pots left (If not more) when I got my first Firecape.. what's your point. It was on my first try ever as well. Not everyone buckles under "pressure" if you can even call a GAME that. For my second attempt I will try to do it in under 90 minutes. That's what I am shooting for.. on my SECOND attempt ever. Does that mean that I have people doing if for me to? Why does everyone think the fight caves are hard? Everyone hypes it up so much only for it to be mediocre in difficulty at best. 8/10. Grats on the getting the cape and on your first try. Not as hard as everyone makes it to be but I guess that's what happens when you can't keep your "cool" under pressure. It's just a game there is no reason to fly off the handle
  10. 9/10 just for getting the skill you like the most to 99 first. (Defence for me  ) I am also 98 attack now. 650k to 99! :
  11. You can actually do Ape Atoll at 70 where you still fail but the failing is virtually cut in half (or even 2/3rds) from how many times you would of failed before level 70. (Yes at 75 failing stops all together) With that said Agility Pots can be utilized at level 67 to boost your agility up to 70 thus cutting down on your failure rate by a lot. Every time you get under 70 re pot. Agility pots are dirt cheap and you will be getting the best agility exp you can get for level 67-70. The levels come pretty fast too. I think it took me something like 3-4 days to get those 3 levels.
  12. I believe that means you need to finish the quest to wear it. The quest isn't long just pull up a guide and finish it off in 45 mins or so.
  13. I am still a firm believer that maxed players make the best pkers (for obvious reasons) But out of the 2, I believe Barrow pures have a higher consistency of "whoopin butt" (not a fan of swearing =P) Personally, I am more partial to Barrow pures since a barrow pure is more like a main with 70 defence for the rest of its "career". Since there are so many more opportunities opened up when you don't necessarily restrict yourself as much as you would with a rune pure. I say get the defence levels, enjoy the new armor and possibilities, and NEVER look back.
  14. You sir.. are an idiot... No offence. Say bye bye to that account though, unless you have some recovery questions.
  15. I use Evil_Mumm_Ra.. just a preference its mostly people from the old blogscape chat and I enjoy familiar faces.
  16. It's faster to use your own house when Praying. This is true. And I agree with what you and Comp say alot of the time about being efficient. I like to maximize my output with the time I have to play. However, the loss of about 75k exp/hour (a great deal I will agree) is nothing to me when we are talking about 200k+ exp/hour anyway. This is just personal preference. Also, I do not deal with the hassle of relighting my own burners and I don't spend money on a skill I deem useless (TO ME!) Again this is personal preference. Just like it is going to have to be to the OP. Which do you like better? Which will be more useful to you? I would go with smithing myself since I repair barrow armor a lot and the lowered cost is beneficial to me. I don't use my house at all, aside from an occasional tele to recharge prayer or tele to exit and enter someone else house. No one ever enters my house so I have no use for high con. (Of course when I finish all my goals and want to get 80+ all stats that's when the con levels come  )
  17. After 50 I see no use in Con. I have the level for a portal room and still never use it. I can use other peoples guilded alters.. so no need for 75. (oak alter recharges pray points just as well as any) At least with 80 smithing you can GAIN money, albeit smithing useless items but I am sure there is some kind of monetary gain in there. Also you can cut the costs of barrow's repair. Who doesn't want cheaper barrow repairs? Who is gonna see your house? If you throw a lot of parties, sure go for 80 con.. if not why bother.
  18. I like to do my troll tasks on Death Plateau with Guthans (or now maybe a Bunyip, don't know if that would keep up with the healing) I wear: [*:2w2i2bm1]Torags Legs + Plate. [*:2w2i2bm1]Slayer Helm. [*:2w2i2bm1]Whip+Defender (with guthans a DFS isn't really needed since you won't be using food) [*:2w2i2bm1]Dragon Boots. [*:2w2i2bm1]Fury. [*:2w2i2bm1]Fire Cape or Skill cape (obby if you have neither) [*:2w2i2bm1]Barrow Gloves [*:2w2i2bm1]Warrior Ring (You don't need a warrior ring but I find it is well worth its price of 200k.) Keep 1 or 2 emergency foods in your invent just in-case guthans starts acting up on you. Alch Runes about 10-20 should be fine. Games necklace for easy banking and return if needed. 2 Super Attacks and 2 Super Strengths (Added Offence never hurts, you should make back the cost of these anyway)
  19. In my experience Easters have a tendency to fluctuate a bit more than pumpkin's do so you could look in that.. I mean if you buy an easter for 2m (random number) you could come back a few years later and it could be 500k or 5m. I personally would just go with easters. There are more of those bought and sold on a daily basis than pumpkins. At least, again, from my experience it has always been easier to buy an easter as opposed to a pumpkin.
  20. Nope. I'm content with RS. I've seen Wow and it just doesn't hold my interest the way RS does. :) Same here. Wow doesn't come off entertaining to me, just seems too complex. I'll just stick with RS, simple and enjoyable.
  21. Back when I made my account it wasn't hard to get past the 13 year old thing and say I was 59 or whatever. I don't know if that has changed recently (since I haven't made an account since 2004) but I don't see it being hard for people under 13 to make accounts that can talk freely. Also just because you are 13 or 14.. doesn't mean you've peaked maturity.. the newly uncensored words will be overused. Even by adults with swearing problems, for some people it just comes naturally without giving it a second thought.
  22. As said by someone in the clan chat I was in.. Half of RS will be muted by tomorrow. You shouldn't let it worry you if it's your first offense like that then it might be a 24 hours mute. (something like this 2 day 3 day etc) It shouldn't be a perm mute though. Just accept the penalty should you receive one and and try to refrain from using words that were previously censored. EDIT: Lol Or if they give you a mute you could try an appeal saying you were trying to tell someone to use "A SS" meaning use a saradomin sword.. it could work :-k
  23. Your stats are low to do them effectively. You might, in the end, turn out a loss due to using so many prayer pots and so much food. You should stick to something else until at LEAST 85 melees and 80+ magic. (yes magic level does matter. the higher it is the better your mage defence will be)
  24. you should do this method if u wish too train to 99, but don't get your hopes up the chins per hour does not rise that much probally by about 10, Miss 10 per level she means. And yes, the best salamanders up until 63 is the best way to go (for money) If you want faster exp do red salamanders until 80 and then red chins.
