Just tested it - I'd say it takes about 1/2 second longer. Noticeable though. I noticed it as well, and at some really, REALLY inopportune times as well. This is bad. -
Or, go to that chick by the Lunar Altar. She found yours, and is waiting for you to pick it back up.

You should farm your own herbs. Herblore and farming are very complimentary, and in the long run, you can make lots and lots of cash farming herbs, and then making potions. The farming/herblore combo is a great one. If you have some degree of patience.

As far as I know, there are no specific requirements as to prayer. But the baddies you have to deal with in this quest, as well as with all the other quests needed to do desert treasure, it just sounds inconceivable getting to it and through it with prayer below 43. Unless you had something like 99 defense, 43 is the bare minimum.

Sort of ironic: with these changes, Jagex's last claim about the anchor will now become untrue. It will not longer be used as a PKing weapon. It's relegated now to strength training. -

Whoa. Nice. -
Ditto. The poison isn't that bad, but you do get nickle-and-dimed with traps and such. Kill, cooking, and eating rabbits is the way to go. Anti-poison isn't necessary. Never let your HP drop below 20. Other than that, get a cup of coffee/soda and settle in. It is very, very tedious.

Or you can put a Scarecrow into the flower patch, and your sweetcorn will never die. Scarecrow = sack used on a pile of hay (north of ardougne), hay sack used on a spear, spear sack used on a watermelon.

First off, I don't endorse rule-breaking of any sort. Just wanna get that out of the way. However, lets just put things in perspective, if we can. Chinese wages are, on average, about 1/6th of what they are in the US. So a fella earning $1.50/hour in China is sort of the equivalent of someone in the US making $9/hour. Dependent upon where you're living, that's not a bad amount of money, especially for playing a video game. The second point, about their evil bosses: most US service industries (accounts, lawyers, consultants, etc.) tend to pay employees anywhere from 1/4 to 1/3rd of the rates they charge clients for their services (i.e., if you're charging the customer $150/hour for my services, that usually means about a $75K salary for me). With RS Gold going for $6.00/million, paying someone $1.50/million is not quite exploitaitive by common standards. Remember, the companies they work for have to pay all sorts of costs like high speed internet, keeping up websites, advertising on places like tip.it, buying top-of-the line hardware to fool jagex, etc. They also have to absorb losses when their accounts are banned and all is lost, or when a customer gets caught and banned, and they give a refund (even if only partial). So by all accounts, while we may consider their life sad and pitiful, it seems like any other business, just in a place with an entirely different standard of living, and performing a very unusual service.

Jagex uses various methods to sniff out real world trading. If they show people their evidence as to how they got caught, cheaters can go on to figure a way around their detection methodology. Fair or not, that's the way the cookie crumbles. If it's true that you're innocent, you got mixed up with the wrong crowd. If a couple of cheaters buy rs geepees and give/ loan you a substatial amount to other players, Jagex has no way to know if those recipients were part of the cheating or not. They have no choice but to assume they were. If you "loaned" or gave geepees to someone who also just so happens to buy real world geepees, the cheaters you loaned to made you look like a real world trader by association. It's assumed that anyone giving sizable sums to those people are also geepee sellers. Blame the cheaters for making Jagex take these steps.

Post your Manage thy Kingdom results.

It's really not terribly remarkable, except for the eggs. I got 5 eggs for about 7 days with 7-8 workers. Pleeeease end up being worth something... -
Jagex possibly going to far too stop irl trading?
PhelimReagh replied to magekillr's topic in General Discussion
I certainly don't know for sure, but one has to logically assume that Jagex eventually finds out who real life gp-sellers are, and from there, it's probably pretty easy to determine the whole network of resource-gatherers and gp-buyers connected to those folks. They then likely expand that network further and further outward. They only way someone is going to be unfairly punished is if they were associates of those RL traders, who received a large cash gift/loan from the rule-breakers after they received their ill-gotten gains. From Jagex's perspective, those receiving funds from cheaters were probably cheaters as well. They have no way to know otherwise. The number of "honest" folks caught up in such a web has to be insanely small. So as far as Jagex is concerned, in order to stomp out RL trading, they'll have to accept a tiny number of "honest" players caught up in the dragnet. Lesson: don't accept huge gifts or loans from folks. -
If you could Change your Runescape Name would you?

Yes. I would have put a space in my name: Phelim Reagh -
Cannonballs are 12.5K XP and about 100K gp profit per hour. I like it because I click "smelt all" and go read forums. The XP is slower than, say, smithing iron knives from iron bars, but there is a lot of profit there.

Stupidest Move EVER! Top this!

X5, thanks for the defense even in spite of my post not making sense to you. But don't sweat that other guy and waste time on him. Some parts of Tip.it forums just have full time whiners and haters. I guess we've found one of 'em. I'm moving on. You should too, and save yourself the time. -

Achievement=stupidest move ever. Searched around, couldn't think of a perfect section to communicate my idiocy. But if you really have nothing better to do, go on and report away. -
Ain't it always that way? LOL. Congrats.

Doing the quest "Mourning's End Part II", and got to the point where I was going to have to go over the hand-holds for the second time. Having spent about an hour the first time, without potting and being only 57 Agility, I stocked up on Prayer, Super Energy and Agility Pots (and some food). Reading a Quest help guide, I spent about 30 minutes potting myself to 60 and trying to cross. During that time, I got to the last handhold 4 times! Utterly frustrating. Finally, running out of food and potions, I make all the way across! "W00t!" /dance /jig "YESSSSs!" Right click = "Examine doorway" or whatever it says when you can't get through door. "Omfg!!!" Oh, so when the Guide said to repeat the step as I had the first time, I had to repeat the whole step? "Arrggggggh!" /ectophial /logout *whimper* *slump over*

I hope no one minds, but I'm bumping this. This question comes up often enough. Those who search for "Chinchompas" will reap the reward...

There are several of the "Marshmallow Rocks" all around the abyss you can mine through. Just run, and keep an eye out for them.

World 78 is the official PC world.

1K Steel gets you 4K Cannonballs, a profit of 200K, which takes 2 hours in Port Phasmatys. Nat crafting or running is an option since your level is probably pretty low. Most RC PKers are level 70 and above. You need only worry about the baddies inside the Abyss.
