  1. And it goes without saying that downloading thrid party programs are not without security risks.
  2. Looks to be just north of the "Tower of Life", south of East Ardougne.
  3. Examine of the Rapier: "The very butcher of a silk button..." If you like Shakespeare and all, I guess it's funny :P
  4. I did. They're pretty junky. EDIT: For clarification purposes, the rapier is basically the same as a Rune Scimitar, but used for stabbing (instead of slashing). That's the best one he sells. So if you can't afford dragon weapons, it's a good stabbing option for 25K. EDIT 2: On second thought, outside of a halberd, the 25K rapier is the best stabbing weapon I can find... better than Dragon Dagger, although no special. Not sure what it's useful for, though. The two cutlasses are utter junk, though. Good for really low levels, I suppose. EDIT 3: Untradeable as well. I guess that's good, you can take it PKing against Rangers since it's a good stabbing weapon, and they can't pick it up :D
  5. This anchor is going insane damage, consistently, against portals and PC. Anchor+Chinchompas=PC Ownage.
  6. I love this anchor, lol. EDIT: It's fun 'cause it's new. I agree that D-Scimmy and Rune Defender could be better. But the anchor gives me a +80 Strength bonus. 9 higher than D-Scimmy, Rune defender (+71). And it's fairly fast for a two-handed weapon. If you're training against stuff with high crush defense, it's sweet. EDIT 2: You look hilarious carrying it around, too. There are two different looks, one when you run, and one when you walk. Both funny.
  7. Are you talking about the squire in Falador castle? If so, he is wandering about the courtyard. He's the yellow dot that ISN'T a white knight.
  8. Rings up to Ruby, Ammies up for Diamond and Dragonstone.
  9. This thread has been a bit of an eye-opener. Seeing the wide-spread support/blame the naive victim mentality even among Tip.it'ers (whom rightly or wrongly I considered a cut above your average 'Scaper), I've finally come to the realization that this game isn't for me. I'd been having a harder and harder time staying motivated, and realizing the mentality of people I'm playing with, that really made me evaluate why I played this game at all. I've now unsubscribed, and have 21 days member credit remaining.
  10. Because most people hate agility and don't train it unless they have to. For some reason, Jagex keeps releasing new courses, thinking that it's the choice in courses that makes it such a horrible skill to train. It's the click-wait-click-wait-fail-click-wait-fail... expletive... that makes it stink.
  11. Yes. And you get randomed a lot when hunting.
  12. If you've done "Throne of Miscellania"/"Royal Trouble", use your kindom to get maples for 51 gp and fletch maple longs. Otherwise, Willow longs. Unstrung both.
  13. 1,5+11,5=13? Maybe that is why they sell for 13k? I think you can make a good profit if you mine the rune ores and buy the coal ores. I was using Zybez's Market Price Guide, which said the range was 11-13K, so I used the average price of 12K. But since we're using prices pulled from the RSOF, ores are 12K. So you lose 500-600 gp bar, or profit 400-500 bar if using the Blast Furnace. But, as I'm sure you're aware, using the blast furnace is quite slow if you're running back and forth between the furnace and the bank. And thanks for re-iterating my point: The money in Rune is Rune Mining. Trying to make consistent money smithing rune STILL isn't viable, not matter how snarky a post you muster.
  14. And here I was aggravated for having to, at the time, pay 20K for a nature tally to get my secataurs. Guess I should count that blessing, now.
  15. I Just checked too, and yeah, it's 13K, apparently. But there doesn't seem to be a very vibrant market of buyers or sellers on the official forums. I did a search for "rune" under "Ores and Bars", and there are very few bar buyers and/or sellers. Maybe 3-5/day. Maybe there's a way for it to be profitable, but it looks like more hassle than anything else.
  16. I have 86 smithing, and I make my smithing money smelting cannonballs, or smelting iron then smithing iron knives. The money in Rune is Rune Mining. 8 Coal Ores = 1.5K 1 Rune Ore = 11.5K Rune Bars = 12K Unless you're using the Blast Furnace, you're losing 1K per bar. With the Blast Furnace, you can break even, but then you're smithing really slows down. Smithing is the 'bastard child' of runescape skills. You get no real additional benefit after you hit about 40, until you finally get to 99 and can smith full rune. Even then, it's no great shakes. Rune items really don't move en-masse. You have to sell them one at a time. Cannonballs and iron knives you can sell by the thousands to one buyer. I am 86 smithing, and I've yet to smith a single rune bar or item. There's really no point. I don't want to spend 1.2 million to buy 100 runite bars to make 100 runite axes, for 7.5K XP, and have then sit in my bank, while I hang around F2P Draynor, and hope to sell them over a few days. That's my take on it, at least.
  17. You have a chance of failing any spell, based upon your mage level and any magickal bonuses or penalties, vs. the opponent's defense, and any of their magickal bonsuse or penalties. If you wear enough gear with mage penalties, and go after somebody with relatievely high mage defense, you will fail the spell, but still get the XP for casting. If you're going to sit around casting a curse over and over again, you need for it to fail. For once you've cursed a foe, you can't re-curse for 1 minute. That drastically slows down your training, having to wait. So if you can keep failing on the same foe, you can train fairly quickly and cheaply.
  18. Look into soloing the blast furnace. Will only need 1/2 the coal, and you can buy it cheap there.
  19. The best time to join members is now. Everything is easier in P2P.

  21. Plural. Who knows when this update will come out? For all we know they're talking about the halloween holiday event. The Shadow Sword mini-quest was obviously the first installment, because there was no real resolution. There are scouts doing surveillance, but for what purpose? What is Khazad up to? The original poster asked if the BTS reference was forgotten. It wasn't.
  22. World 78. Not sure if the post above was sarcastic, or just mean-spirited.
  23. It could be anything, but I would certainly love a ring of teleblock-block ;-)
  24. I think the difference will be far more noticeable with higher level woods than it would be for stuff like willows.
