  1. Good news: 43 million would actually get you about 71K steel bars (using 600 gp as a price), not 61K. Bad news: 71K Bars * 37.5 = 2,662,500 XP = 12,780,000 gp when alched (900 gp = =1.2K-300 for nats) 21.3k Bars * 37.5 = 798,750 XP = 3,834,000 gp when alched After 2 rounds, you're looking at 3.46 million xp. In the end, you might get about 4 million XP with it, give or take 100K.
  2. I would say the dragon 2-hander is in the same category as the spear: not enough of an advantage over the dragon long/scimi + rune defender combo. Plus, with a price tag of 1.3 million, it's not worth the risk.
  3. your welcome, i'd just invest in quite a few dueling rings because that method, you get like 4 trips til it disappears I recommed completing Heroes, and buying a few Amulets of Glory. Maybe 10. 1. Charge glories, bank 'em. 2. Wear glory, fire tiara, ring of dueling. 3. Load up on essence 4. Tele to duel arena, run to fire altar, craft 5. Glory to Edgeville 6. Bank, withdraw runes, tele to duel arena, repeat 7. When you have used 7 charges on dueling ring, high alch it. 8. Remove next dueling ring, repeat. 9. After your glories are done, use Games Necklace to recharge glories.
  4. who needs em, gameplay itself makes up 99% of this base anyways... You should try running around pest control with some of the new weapons that have distinct animations (chinchompas, barrelchest anchor), while something attacks you. You'll see what he's talking about. It definitely impacts gameplay in a big way.
  5. Sorry you had to run into all these grumpy gusses. While I share the general skepticism that such an update is even on Jagex's radar, I at least appreciate your enthusiasm. Try not to let folks here jade you. They're gonna try awfully hard...
  6. I wouldn't say "lie". It's a rumor or an "old wives tale". A rumor that you cannot prove, but I like my results farming with the book rather than without.
  7. That is really just a rumor. That being said, I farm with it, too. I have no data to confirm or deny anything about it, but I don't farm without it.
  8. OMG, I was quoted by someone. LOL. You should put in a base of 750K, and another 75K for every day you plan on your workers gather stuff. So, really, for 10 days, you should put in 1.5 million. Go back every day and mine a coal ore, or cut a couple of maples.
  9. anchor=same speed as d-long (slower than scimitar), 80/80 attack/strength (close to whip, but not quite). 2-handed weapon. No clue about clues...
  10. Yes, but it will take a while. See if you can convince someone to trade you like 400 iron knives for your 600 arrows. It'll go much, much faster.
  11. Once you can plant trees and good herbs (to help your Herblore), you begin to get quite an appreciation for Farming. When you can plant a Mage Tree in the Gnome Stronghold patch, right by the other mage tree and 3 Yews, then you're in love with the skill ;-)
  12. Crafting through the Abyss usually requires wearing dragonhide armor to stop RC PKers. You cannot, however, get onto Entrana wearing armor. As such, I'd say the the baloon method would be faster.
  13. You need only start "A Fairy Tale Part II", going far enough to get access to the Fairy Ring network. And that comes very early on in the quest.
  14. Starting "A Fairy Tale Part II", and completing "Holy Grail", gets you access to 9-10 gold rocks right near a Fairy Ring, allowing you to bank in Zanaris. There is also a Gold spawn there as well. As a "smither who mines to smith", I appreciate that little touch. EDIT: and they're pretty much always empty.
  15. Slayer is harder. Much, much harder. Throne of Miscellania and it's tree seeds make tree seed acquisition uber-easy.
  16. That is just utterly false and ridiculous to make such a claim.
  17. That's beyond insane. I can't go more than a week without checking, let alone a month. To say nothing of 6 months. Good luck selling that stuff.
  18. Third-party clients that do not give you an unfair advantage are not against the rules. However, no third-party client is actually "legal", or any other term meant to imply that Jagex approves of their use. No matter how much folks like or trust the authors of these third-party tools, their usage poses security risks to both your RS account and to your PC and all that's on it.
  19. Against the rules. I advise you don't go bragging about this in-game.
  20. Dragons have high magick defense, so I do not think that is an advisable path. My friend at combat level 59 just did it: full rune (with chain, anti-dragon shield and rune scimmy), super attack and strength potion, anti-fire potion, and hacked away, having to eat about 8 swordies along the way. That dragon ain't all that easy. If you can bulk up, I would so advise.
  21. You should totally take adantage of that 87 mage to entangle and teleblock, DDSing if they get too close. Pures at your level will have low defense and prayer, and with your stats you can only beat them by utilizing all the skills you have. You're going to have trouble going toe-to-toe against a DDS with 99 Attack/Strength. You're much better off not letting them get close enough to even try that.
