  1. Screen of drop on ground: Screen of drop included with drops/pricecheck from the rest of the task Also for a slight off-topic mention, I get TONS of noted rare table drops from Dark Beasts - 1 per task on average. On one task I got 3 (Noted silver ore, noted torstol, noted pure ess) Show that for kicks I guess =P
  2. Thanks again everyone :) Photoshop CS5 Let me know how you would like it formatted and I'll whip one up for you :)
  3. Well since you asked :P *barrage of photos* [hide] The next two aren't technically black and white but more.. quazi-duotoned (I didn't completely remove the innate color) Also not black and white but close enough XD Duotone Duotone Blend of 2 photographs (of the exact same shot, different brightness, in case anyone wanted to know) to keep detail in both the moon and clouds etc.[/hide] Some of them that I haven't labeled as duotone but actually are is because the duotone processing is so slight in those pieces that most people don't even notice it consciously :P

You might hear this a lot but I really really really love the film-like effects you're getting. Adds a lot of mood and atmosphere, the photos end up looking like a memory.. best way I can explain that one lol. Hope to see more
  5. Thanks all, glad you like :) And yeah Devnull lol, I used to watermark my photos and I think that's actually the oldest one there =P
  6. a) It is pretty awesome here if you don't mind the lack of access b) Thanks :) c) Canon 5D Mk II atm and a couple lenses

  8. Some of them might turn out to be a little too big in which case I will snip them out after this is posted. Let me know what you think! :) You can see more of my stuff on my DeviantArt> http://octoberlife.deviantart.com/gallery/ hopefully will start adding images again soon. Enjoy :D Edit: ARGH theyre all huge lol. Ah well, hit f11 and you can pretty much see all of them well enough. Edit2: You may notice dust spots in some of the skies - a work in progress removing them from my web files...The print files don't have them :) [hide] [/hide]

  11. Very well said. =D> (halp with not quoting like an idiot? haha) ^ Those, so much! Problems with Runescape, as they are human problems, are just a result of the world and culture the game is contained in. Wanna know why Rune is seeing so many issues? Attitude. Look to the rest of the world for your answer there. I actually wanted to submit an article on the topic but I suppose the shorthand crossed here gets it across just as well.
  12. I think it's been mentioned already but Jagex is taking the stance that the squeal is a "fun" piece of game content, content which you can opt to pay for or not. Their bottom line is you are paying for the content, not the "contents" of the content. Since it's apparently "fun" then that's what were paying for in their lies eyes - not the benefits (to us, ie. lucky items) of the content. It sounds silly just talking about it. It would be as if you had to pay $20 for 30 barrows runs. (I know, not the best example.) You will always get something, such as racks or runes, with a chance for something better. You would be paying for the content (the barrows minigame) and the rewards of said minigame are an extra perk. It's a bulls**t legitimization, since, for one, SoF is obviously not engaging in the least - to the extent that I couldn't even deem it game content because it sucks that bad. Which is why I can level with how everyone knows in their heart it is basically gambling no matter how Jagex or legislation choose to mince or twist their words. This is completely ignoring the buy-able xp and other points that could be raised. To reiterate many others: the gambling concept, or even the squeal itself doesn't bother me so much as the ultimate deluge of sleaze the current admins/shareholders have released on our game. It is OUR game. Without the society of the players Runescape is a pile of code and data with absolutely no value whatsoever. [/rant]
  13. All things aside, you have to admire his honesty?
  14. Really an awesome idea. Should be simple to implement as well. No mini-games, either! Just taskmasters dedicated to each skill which will give you the task, not much different than Slayer really, as has been mentioned. 100% support, I've even brought it up to my friends in game since I lurked this thread (well...alll threads) a few weeks ago :) Edit: Meant to also say this idea could be expanded on quite a lot - with rewards and other fun stuff like that, which people have mentioned above. Now, if only Jagex gave a crap what we wanted!
  15. Not much to say about the actual ownership of items as you guys have plundered that reasonably well but I wholeheartedly agree with what the Dutch court decided as to the value of the items. You hear the terms like "pixel-hugging" or "it's information with no value," etc. often enough but I've never seen truth in that. Two main things: 1) to me, it doesn't matter who legally owns the items - ownership basically means value, to someone. 2) It's as simple as understanding the concept of abstraction. Even real world currency, while represented for example by "solid" coins and bills in many cases is still an abstraction - we apply the value that those things have and it takes someone, or many people, to retain that illusion of value. By that logic you could call someone a "fermion hugger" by seeing value in their real-world substances, except the "universe" owns the constituent information, including that of the person in the first place...if you follow my (needlessly?) philosophical metaphor. We most often define value by the work and energy applied to derive something, so of course virtual items can and do have real value - and that can clearly be argued in court. P.s. I'm "new" here, as in I haven't shown my face on the forums in several years, so hello everyone :)
  16. Eh..If they drop below 500-600k I won't bother selling mine anymore to be honest, my form of a boycott I spose :P Though really I don't even sell my barrows items that I get (that are worth under 500k), I use em pking or for big monster hunting and don't worry too much if I happen to lose a piece.
  17. Just a one liner that made me laugh.
  18. >.< Stupid question but err...Where does one buy bronze knives?
  19. Well like I said I don't see any point in looking for sympathy, but theres also nothing wrong with being empathic. It's so easy to say "they're just pixels." Say it when your santa gets hacked. No one wants to hear complaining, but to me if someone makes the statement it says they have no respect for another persons effort or time. It may not be the same kind of work, it is a game after all, but the fact remains that work was put into the summation of the "pixels." You can't ignore that fact.
  20. The first reply to the editor was...Readable. I agreed with the points but I figured most of them went without saying... As for number two, even if there was a tangeable point to the argument as you say, I couldn't find it. I do agree that many players give the pixel statement to make themselves feel better in some respect, but I could never agree that it was true. Basically what you're saying is "oh, you lost your hard work and time - that doesn't matter because you can just put in more hard work and more time to be back where you were before you lost your "pixels." How about this then: you work hard for a month to save up for...We'll say...An XBox 360. Now I come along with a cutting torch and reduce it to smoldering plastic which I then toss into a river. You shouldn't worry, though - it's only made up of atoms which are at their most basic microscopically tiny loops of energy. Just like everything else. You only have to work another month to get it back. But those atoms are easy to get back, right? What's the difference? One world is tiny pieces formed together on a software background. The other wold is tiny pieces formed together within a space-time background. The effort is required in both. I don't believe in sympathy-hunting, but I find the pixel claim ignorant and apathetic.
  21. No point in ranging them unless you really need the xp. You'll get hit just as much (If you aren't praying) and if you're using prayer boosting gear it's better off that you melee anyways. You'll kill them alot faster using whip+salve.
  22. I made the mistake of downloading it once. It isn't a book but a PDF file that you open in Adobe Reader. Don't waste your $10. The whole thing is basically this: Buy lobs. Buy low, sell high. Merchanting lobs, really. It would be a waste of paper to print out this guys 10-20 page guide on merchanting lobsters. Save yourselves!
  23. Flammcor...You're not even really debating the topic anymore. You're debating the author's ability to debate. Wonderful. In other news... *Applause* Great article.
  24. I've seen some people in a tannish outfit and large sandals (not tai bwo sandals) sometimes with a wide brimmed hat. Anyone know what this outfit is called or where to get it? I love the sandals and hat XD Love to get my hands on them haha.
