For all those saying you make profit alching, you're totally wrong. Yes, you make profit on the whole process, but you lose money on the alching. You'd make more money selling the bows and the nats apart. OT: It's a pretty good way to train mage though, Cammy tele is quite more expensive, maging metal dragons is slow, mage training arena is (I've heard) 120K xp/hour but I know nothing about the costs. Not that much left.

I actually have a different answer: "If it offers something unique, aka something tip doesn't have." Being unique is important to me.

You have to pay a cut diamond every time you want to access that area, so you'll pay about 3.5K (?) ea run too. Which is about 120gp extra each ring. Cosmics for 200 ea, so 1 ring costs about 1350 GP, still not bad! Another question, how much are bloods in the shop?

There is a sticky for this. But personally, I suggest to use the quests forum sticky for exactly the same purpose, a lot more people are there.

But you fail to realize there will be less shop trading, because you can probably get it cheaper on the player market, so I actually think there will be less money erased. Bots will also buy less runes, so there that's even more shop traffic, so even less money drained.

Yes, there probably will be an increase in deaths, natures and bloods. But those runes have decreased for some time now, there is nothing wrong or bad with going back to deaths 300 ea and bloods 550-600ea. I actually see it as a good thing, craftsmanship is rewarded now. I also don't see how this removes more cash from the system, I'd actually think there will be more money in the system, because people will buy less from the shops and there for will buy from players. As shops will be used less, they will drain less money.

You're still losing money from the alching itself. You'd get more money selling nats and yew longs apart then alching them.

Seeing you're only level 74 firemaking, I'd suggest to get that first, before even thinking of an outfit.

I'd suggest a granite shield instead of a zammy book, it's cheap and the range attacks are actually your biggest thread (besides Jad himself). Also don't expect to get it in one try, because you probably won't. Get some extra supplies. (Another tip is to make your own bolts or potions, I used emerald tipped mithril bolts, mined the bars myself with superheat in Lumby swamp and I already had a bunch of emeralds in my bank.)

thanks, maybe that was because i got confused since.. it said in mugs guide that range is silent before it hits.. and i used mage pray >_< ... Well maybe i'll try after 10 lvl 99s :-s :-$ :-w Did you really expect to finish it in one try? That's pretty ignorant, hardly anyone completes it the first try. Don't be too upset and just try again, it took me six tries too, but it's worth it.

Sorry, I was wrong. If you hear a noise before it hits you, it's mage, not range. And personally I just learned it from watching vids, not really any other tips I could give you.

You could try to train on the countless of vids of people beating Jad. You can also use the sound, if you hear a sound the moment he attacks it's range attack, otherwise it's mage. And I actually found it easier to stand near him (not in melee range though), so I could see it better. And for the inv, try to save at least 2 doses of range pot for beating Jad, it'll make a big deal easier. Getting 60 prayer is also suggested, you'll be a bit more safe on the pot side (you could take one sup restore less and switch if for a brew or range pot). Personally, I also suggest a d square, DFS (best if you have the money), or a granite shield. A granite shield has amazing range defence, which is the most important defence.

What's the point of a collection if it can be easily acquired? OT: I like the new shops idea, it'll help F2P general shops, which are totally full most of the time, with new item spots (especially Varrock). It'll stop macroers and it'll make shops as what they're intended to be. Lovely!

Why do you even bother posting here, the only posts I see of you is saying how bad Rs is and how much better something else is?

It only works if nothing is in the way. And at large monsters as long as the place where the arrows will land isn't blocked by anything, very well explained in this guide.
