  1. I think an interactive world map for traveling would be cool. You click your current location on the map, then click where you'd like to go to. It then calculates the best/fastest way to get there. It would need to have settings that get saved for the traveling options you have (for example, if you have no law runes, you uncheck tele spells and it won't use them or if you haven't done the quest for spirit trees, uncheck them). The map would display walk/run routes in solid lines and teles in dashed lines. Good luck coding that :)
  2. Longest Song: The Decline by NOFX 18:21 Shortest Song: Told You Once by Mr. T Experience 0:11 Library: 9589 songs, 473:38:48, 31.69GB (+another 1k songs, 4.7GB awaiting importing)
  3. Seems logical to me it would either be weapons/armor made from an animal by-product (skin armor or bone weapons) or used in hunting (range weapon)
  4. I find that if I'm not playing RS, I'm playing doing something else that is equally a "waste of time". Times when I'm playing RS less, I'm playing yahoo hold-em poker, or some single player video game, or youtube, or myspace, or xbox, or gameboy, or watching a movie. So, all-in-all I'm be just as un-productive...just doing it in a change of scenery. The best way I've found to control myself a bit is to play RS as a reward. For example, don't let myself play on Saturday until I do 2 hours of chores.
  5. Same here, I don't know if it's me doing something wrong or the website, but I just keep getting spammy publicity when I go to that URL rather than the download link. I was a bit confused by the site at first. To the right of the Megaupload logo at the top, there should be a (3) letter security code with a box and download button next to it. Feedback: Amazing! You are really good at tickling the ivory :) You should defintely record more. You should also video yourself playing...I love watching a good pianist play. I'm curious how old you are and if you do or plan to play/teach music...you obviously have talent.
  6. Goonies in my absolute, positive, #1 favorite movie of all time! "Goonies never say die!" I've probably watched it 100+ times. My recent viewings: Just Friends - actually this is pretty funny. I suppose you have to like Ryan Reynolds to enjoy it. The Island (2nd time) - I feel asleep 1/2 way thru 1st time, so it was good to see what I missed. This is a pretty dcent sci-fi story. Scarlett is always enjoyable to watch, imo. The Science of Sleep - saw this at small theater that plays only indie films. This movie is by Michael Gendry (I think that's right), who also did Eternal Sushine of the Spotless Mind. I didn't like SoS as much, though I must say it was fairly creative. It's kind of a hard movie to describe. It goes back and forth between the main character's dreams and reality. All in all, it left me want a bit more from the movie. I liked the intentions, it just didn't seem to come across as well as I think it could have.
  7. I have a funny story about this movie. After it won oscar for best picture (must have been like '93?), my friend and I decided to go see it. Knowing that it won oscar, we knew it must be a good movie. About 5 minutes into it, he leans over and says, "dude, I've seen this". I reply, "really? that sucks". A couple minutes later, I realized I knew the next line and said before the characted on screen did. Damn...I'd seen it too. As it turns out, we had seen it TOGETHER and both forgot...LOL! In our defense, it had been several months before and they we still running it cuz it had just won oscar and I'm sure we had some self-induced memory destruction going on. We walked out and went into another movie.
  8. I think this is quite possibly the most impressive acheivement I have seen in RS! Congrats!
  9. I watched 1/2 of Match Point last night. It was pretty boring, so I ended up turning it off. I just couldn't connect with the characters. It basically seemed like some stuff was happening, but it all had no substance...nothing to keep me interested. Though, that is pretty much what I expected from Woody Allen. I heard it sort of redeems itself in the last 20 minutes, but I doubt I'll watch the rest...it'll probably go right back to Netflix.
  10. Dork's Plunder

In addition to those already listed: The Tossers The Briggs Blood or Wiskey Meisce (from Seattle) Amadan (local band where I live...I've seen them ~10 times...very good!) and one more with a bit of irish influence: My life in Black and White (semi-local...and one of my favs)
  12. Very nice guide... - You might want to modify that now the best place to get pineapples for super compost is from the traders at charter ship docks. - I personally stopped watering completely (except tree pots for sapling)...you might throw that in as a possiblility. I have not noticed any less harvest nor any more dying. Saves 1 inventory space and time involved with watering and re-filling watercan.
  13. I downloaded latest Winamp in hopes that there was something added for what I want. Either I'm missing something or you misunderstood me. In the Winamp "Library" pane, I see categories for "Local Media", with "Audio" under it, but then everything is displayed based on clip info, not hard drive folders. What I want is a option in the library pane that looks like the left-hand pane of windows explorer. Like this:
  14. I hope I can explain what I'm looking for clearly (I have tried to in the past and people usually misunderstand). I'm eternally looking for a simple media player that is based on folder/directory structure rather than clip info. I organize all my music under genre/artist/album on my hard drive (whether the song is ripped or downloaded). I would like to be able to just navigate to a folder and play all songs in that folder. I want to see file names, not clip info. The reason for this is a lot of ripped stuff is local bands (no clip info available...gets labeled as unknown) and downloaded stuff always has so many variations (for example: Mars Volta, The Mars Volta, marsvolta, mars volta) and I hate changing clip info. Besides, if I already have gone to the effort of organizing the files, why should I have to modify clip info? I currently use Real player and have tried all the other major players (I think) and all the "Organizer" or "My Library"s simply show media based on clip info. In the "Clips" pane, there is a column for filename, but not a way to see hard drive folder/directory structure in the "Organizer" or "My Library" pane. Anyone know of a player with this capability? TIA, Phil

  16. Hi Tripsis, I finally tried out the pyramid...gotta say it's pretty fast xp. I've done about 100k so far and have a couple questions. Can you get sceptres out of anything? urns, coffin, sarrcauphagus? Haven't gotten one yet :( Also, you've mentioned getting up to 150-250k/hour. Seems I've been averaging about 10-11k/trip...I think best was 12.5-13k (I'm lvl 86, so close to you), which is only 120-130k/hour. Still very good, but I'm wondering if I'm missing something. Bascially, I just rush through the rooms 1-3, get coffin in 4-5, check for snakes and get coffin in 6, everything in 7. Sometimes I run out of time in 7...maybe I'm just not getting there fast enough. Are the doors completely random?...have you noticed any pattern? Seems that's the most time-consuming (trying to find the right door). Also, in room 7, do you check urns for snakes first then loot, or just search them? Thank you Congrat on 1800
  17. I use them quite a bit...primarily to find out what items are needed
  18. I think you've inspired me to try out the pyramid. I'm 86 also (about 100k behind ya)...maybe you'll see me after I finish the clue scroll I just got. Best of luck on your goal of 99!
  19. While it's hard to argue against this, as these bands had an integral part (at least in terms of popularity) in the beginnings of punk rock, I think it somewhat depends on where/when you come from. My first introductions to punk were in mid 80's when I started skating...listening to Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Exploited, Agnostic Front, 7 Seconds, Dead Kennedys, The Cramps. However, I didn't really get into it until I started listening to The Descendents, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Minor Threat, Bad Brains, so for me those are "real punk rock". It's just a matter of what I like and a certain amount of nostalgia. I must say I've opened up my tastes a bit in recent years (I used to be fairly strict in style I liked). It's amazing the number of good bands out there that are crossing genres to make interesting new sounds. I like what bands like Against Me! (folky), Flogging Molly (celtic), and Bigwig (metal-ish) are doing right now. I also like quite a bit of the screamo stuff...I think Aiden is a great band. Another incredible aspect of current times is how easy it is to find new music these days. Back in the day, we all pretty much listened to the same 20-30 bands (at most). With Mydisgrace (saw that term for myspace recently...thought it was funny) there are so many bands it's overwhelming. I have a list of ~100-150 punk bands I've written down to check out (just added Time Again...very good, BTW...thanks TheEmoSanta)
  20. I like you :P I'm only really passionate about a few things in life...punk rock is definitely one of them :)
  21. Kids? I don't know if you were referring to me, but I've not been a kid/minor for a while. not aimed at anyone specific, but I must admit I was assuming a little... Seems most round here are pretty darn young (tho maybe not so much in the Music and Movies area).
  22. THANK YOU! You've restored my faith in humanity :) I was very worried that the kids had completely lost it!
  23. I hate it when people call that pop stuff punk when it clearly isn't. Good Charlotte is where it's at - now that's real punk. I seriously hope that was meant as a joke... No man, Good Charlotte totally rocks hardcore 8-) I seriously hope that was meant as a joke... They are the one band I eventually had to delete off my hard drive...random kept landing on them and got tired of FF'ing. And that says something, cuz I have some pretty cheesy crap on my HD (Yellowcard and Matchbook Romance come to mind). I have not heard a single song of GC that I liked...in fact, I don't believe I call any that I've heard punk (assuming you guys weren't joking, please name a song you think is punk...maybe I'll like it). Some bands I generally don't care for, but often have some older stuff that is good. Yellowcard is a good example...lots of people say they're not good punk, but old stuff like On the Brink or Sue are quite good, fast, and hard.
  24. Well, given that the definition of Emo is very debatable, with sub-genres such as emocore and screamo, it's very difficult to analyze. Though most people do agree that emo is a sub-genre of punk itself. It seems as time progresses it's nearly impossible to label any band as a certain genre. Look at all of them closely tied to punk: hardcore punk, horror punk, Anacho-punk, Christian punk, crust, garage, Oi!, psychedlic punk, death punk, pop punk, DIY punk, politico-punk, emo, emocore, screamo, skacore, ska punk, reggae-punk, psychobilly, rockabilly, alt-county, post-hardcore, alt-hardcore, celtic-punk, funkcore, not to mention all the cross-genres with metal and hardcore. All this to say: just listen to what you like. I've got over 350 bands on my hard drive that I consider "punk". Some bands are on the "popish" side (such as Best Interest, Billy Talent, Alexisonfire), some quite hardcore (such as F-Minus, The Unseen, Straightfaced), and everything in between. There's certain sub-genres I don't care for in general (such as old-school-UK-style, including new stuff like Artic Monkey), but I'm sure there's a band or 2 in every that I like. It's a case by case basis...you either like a band or you don't.
