  1. There is a way where you can get a friend and get him to alch or something to pass the time and as soon as your limit runs out you trade him 10k. I wouldnt recommend it unless you have a ton of money.
  2. Broad Bolts are more cost effective as long as you have 55 slayer.
  3. Where does he check though, I guess the first place to start would be the Range guide but that seems too much work instead of just describing it well enough to let us know what he is talking about.
  4. i have all this good gear for castle wars but i need to pick up the flag faster than other people. i've been in this situation like 10 times today. If ips dont work then i'll just use a dspear to push people away  . Again, your gear is pathetically horrible and inefficient, not to be mean, it just irritates me when people boast inefficiently. Similar to people who use unicorns at abby demons(not ranging/in void). Meleeing in anti-melee gear is counter productive and stupid. if you only bought arma to show off at c wars, sell it and get bandos. I am pretty sure he mentioned that because it has a very high mage defence, and considering he is talking about the flag, he wants the mage defence to be safe. Like I said before, if you want mage defense while meleeing, use karils. Arma is only 10 more mage defense than karils, and if he wants defense, a dfs would make up that lost 10 defense while boosting melee by a bit, using a whip of course. [/hide] Isn't he capturing the flag? So he is running not meleeing? Which makes the zgs irrelevant, does it not? I honestly don't play castle wars that much, but expecting to be in control of the flag at all times with no need to attack would rule out scoring and if he just runs around with the enemy flag after aquiring it his team will never score, which I doubt that they would like. I've ehard the "flag holding" technique mentioend before, but again, assumign that you'll be in control of the flag at ALL times with no need t attack seems a bit presumptious. When capturing the flag, zgs is your best friend and a lot of people use armadyl because often when you are trying to recover the flag, there is a mage spam barraging. But I just want to vouch for Danqazmlp that he isnt making this up and there are actually a pretty significant amount of people that believe this to be true. I have played castle wars a lot and I can tell you that this belief is widely thought to be true by some of the better castle wars players.
  5. What did he say that was so offensive? And I am sure when he says Zamorak sword everyone knows what he is talking about. I think we can all be a little more curteous to new members so that we dont scare them away. To answer the original question, waterfiends are weak to crush attacks so the Zamorak Godsword should work but you may wish to use something faster like Saradomin Godsword or Zamorak Spear. i hope you mean saradomin sword because saradomin gs is same speed Woops yes sorry thats exactly what I meant.

  7. I would suggest using the Great Orb project tokens AND the FOG water gloves, they really speed up rcing. I would do water runes myself, xp is not much less than earths and the altar is closer to the portal meaning less running compared to earth. You will save time, as well as make more runes.
  8. Alching in f2p is worth it but you need to research into which items give you the least loss. Addy plates are the best but you can only buy 100 per hour from the ge and they cost around 9k each. Damage spells are way too slow so you would be better off alching. Good luck!
  9. I would say just dump them in the ge and forget about them, dont sell it to the general store though, it is a waste of money. If you do ever go p2p and get your hands on an item that people are willing to pay more for, you can trade all your tiaras as junk with it. So dont dump them in the shop.
  10. Dont be too nervous, you will encounter a revenant werewolf that wanders that area I believe. I usually just take my trusty black dragonhide and dont forget your spade and bring your clue as well. I would first take the ardougne lever and then make my way to the mage arena bank. If you encounter no revenats until then continue to move towards the destination, if you see the werewolf run into a house with stairs and that should keep you safe. It really shouldnt be bad at all, I have been through numerous clues in the wild, and have yet to die even once.
  11. I think dragons are badly outclassed by aviansies especially if you are ranging. I think you could tank them effectively, so I would consider looking into that. If you have already considered avainsies as an option, then consider this post as spam. If you havent then you might consider a trip to the AOW, I believe there is a guide to aviansies around here. Good luck.
  12. This is easily avoided, put pray to range in order not to get one hit and listen to the sound, if you hear some sort of rumble it means that it is a mage attack and switch prayer accordingly. And like everyone said, you dont need 4 range potions, 3 are more than enough.
  13. Iron/Steel arrows, tiaras, Fire runes and the previously mentioned junk like gold rings/anything leather.
  14. Trade it for 3rd age with the award rate for 3rd age being so low, it isnt going to be going down but rather stabilise at a much higher price. Stay away from the vambs/coif and you will do well if you get your hands on some 3rd age.
  15. They were never attainable as drops from f2p or so I was told from many players and from first hand experience killing a number of shades over the years. I believe they were always dropped on p2p and those players used to sell it to f2p players.
  16. Yes the level of difficulty and you can measure it by looking at the requirements for previous quests and their level of difficulty.
  17. I believe the intent on creating a "Grand Master Quest" was to create a challenging quest for experienced questers. I hope I answered your question. :)
  18. Ok here is the deal, TRAIN YOUR RANGE! I am serious get it to around 80+ and you will not have nearly as hard as a time in the caves. The method you are currently using is fail, it will take you forever to get to the 360s and by the time you get there, you will be out of runes.
  19. Yes it will not work because you can only block 4 monsters.
  20. Dont touch any stats except range and strength, keep training those and you will have a range/2h pure.
  21. He is a pure so getting higher defence isnt an option, I would say you better be really rich to try what you are doing and to be rich I mean aleast 50mil+ and dont bother maging, its a waste of money. I dont understand why you refuse to train range, it is by far the biggest strength in caves. I would try getting range up to 80+ and since you are a pure, it should be a goal of your already.
  22. I completely agree, tip.it already has all the ge prices and all the high alch prices. All the formula has to be is: High alch price - GE Price of Nature rune - GE Price of item and the sort it in descending.
  23. The Ring of Charos can be pickpocketed from Doctor Fenkenstrain after the quest. He resides in the top tower of the Castle, unless you have completed The Great Brain Robbery, in which case he is in the basement of the mill on Harmony. Got it off of Quest Guide.
  24. Just trade him the money, dont go die in bounty hunter because that will be really suspicious. 50k is nothing, and its worth nothing in runescape or to the RWTers, Jagex knows this. Just trade him the money and you will be fine. It becomes suspicious when you are tranferring 500k+.
  25. That is so ignorant. Strength is the most important melee stat for general purpose combat. It's been proven. I do agree. Where has it been proven, from my experience being a low str player it seems un-needed. Anyway, techincally speaking, controlled will be faster as youl have the added accuracy and str bonus of defender or shield ontop of the whip training, may sound insignificant but in the end techically it will be quicker. Even technically speaking we really have no idea which way is actually faster unless a whole lot of people are willing to test it out. People who argue that controlled is better say that the bonus from the defender makes training faster. Whille the people that dont train controlled claim that after gaining levels your accuracy is increased and hence makes training faster. Unless we have detailed knowledge of the formulae that Jagex uses we have no idea which method is better. The only thing thats wrong is the people pointing out that a certain combat skill is useless when they all serve a purpose and are equally important.
