  1. I didn't get it from a Dawkins book no, i'm pretty sure Randi wrote about it a few years back. Thats when i read it.
  2. There's always the Tropicana? rofl.
  3. You're right it is bs. But there's a guy sitting in jail right now in the UK for doing just that with a 15 year old when he was about 18. Unfortunatly I cant find the article on the BBC about it. I do understand the difference between the two but I do have a problem with you generalising about people who you have no idea of their history. Do you know the background story for those people living under the bridge?... I didnt think so.
  4. What if the restrictions placed upon them doesn't let them leave the state or country? There are too many factors that could be in play here. You do not know the conditions of their sentence and release, why there were jailed or anything about them. Take this hypothetical example of a 21 year old male and 16 year old female. Two consenting people but parents do not approve. Jail-able sentence for the male and put on sex offenders list for life. Not a pedophile or molestor but would still have the restrictions on them like the others to possibly be forced to be homeless on his release. You do not have the right to make generalisations about how these people should be punished even after their release.
  5. Stop changing the subject. I am totally with you about harshening conditions inside of jails but save that for another thread. This topic has nothing to do with jailing or sentencing for people, this is about released people who are forced to be homeless and without jobs due to restrictions placed on them by the government.
  6. Weston beach isnt the place I would have chosen to host my outdoor gig, thats what I meant. I'd love to see Pink tho ^_^
  7. No one is saying they should be given free housing and tax funds just that they shouldn't be denied housing and jobs that they pay for because of their past. A past in which they have served their time and released because they were deemed no further risk to society. Stop putting words into peoples mouths and making straw man arguments.
  8. Daan has never been to weston :D
  9. Tipit need to be very careful with regards to putting any official title on videos considering the blantant copyright infringements that normaly accompanies them with regards to music etc.
  10. Always used to be about:blank but not it varies from google, bbc or my own site.
  11. Black holes will always be above and beyong my understanding and I don't see why people on this thread are trying to explain things that even top researchers cant. I fail to see how its possible to take a picture of something that is basicly the absense of light.
  12. Yeah same. 11:11 is a common one for me and people like Uri Gellar and other Numerologists will claim its all mystic and rubbish but its actually a lot more common than you think to see patterns in times and these is nothing supernatural about it. This pageexplains it nicely without the woo woo explanations given by most other sites on the subject. Coincidences happen by chance far often than you might plausibly thing, couple with the fact that its easier to remember all the times you see the time 11:11 than 16:53 it becomes quite easy to understand why you see these times more often compared to others. Take the birthday paradox for example. In probability theory, the birthday paradox states that given a group of 23 (or more) randomly chosen people, the probability is more than 50% that some pair of them will have the same birthday. For 57 or more people, the probability is greater than 99%. It seems hard to belive at first given that there is 365 days in a year that only 23 people are needed in a group to share your birthday but its true.
  13. I am actually a little upset at some of the replies here and the blatant disregard for human rights and even life. I am glad that the mob doesnt rule.
  14. Its quite funny to see how many people here have no idea about how planes work :D
  15. I was going to be a Special Constable, but laziness meant I never actually sent off the application form ^_^
  16. Just a side thing as well unrelated to your laptop shutting down is that you shouldnt be running two different anti virus programs at the same time. Either Norton AV or AVG will have to go, its not good to run both at the same time.
  17. Bubsa is right tho. The T4 gig looks really poor. Its trying to be like the BBC One Big Weekend but just failing miserably. The lineup is just cack. Plus Weston beach is hardly a beautiful landscape, its almost black mud.
  18. Command & Conquer 3: Kane Edition (Limited Edition 1 of 100000) American Dad: Season 2 (except its not really season 2 its the second half of the first season) 24: Day Six Hot Fuzz Having to go easy on my dvd spending lately cus I need to buy a new car.
  19. You can pick up BBC right Daan? Try giving the English version of the show a go. Terry Wogan really makes it the entertainment that it is. If we took it seriously I don't think anyone would watch it in the UK.
  20. There is nothing tipit can do except more to a different provider. Google does not allow pre approval of advertisements and works purely on a blacklist basis.
  21. A few jars and a take-a-way watching Eurovision with your mates. Its a good excuse for a night in booze up and save your money.
  22. We are bad at Eurovision yeah but not as bad as what reflects in the vote. That's because all the Scandinavian countries vote for each other and so do all the eastern European ones. We will never win again even if we do have the best act on the night.
  23. Yeah these did something sickeningly bad but they have completed whatever sentence they were given which probably was many years in prison. And now they cant even reform their lives because of the squalor they are forced to live in. They have to live over 760m from any children, that's a long way an entire street. A convicted murderer is allowed to live close to people on release because released means that the system has admitted that these people are no longer a risk to society or children. What happens if someone is living in a house and THEN a family moves next door, is he (or she) forced to leave? People that have been released from prison for whatever sentence deserve to have at least some help from the government that put them inside.
  24. Tip.it does not run Draynor.net. You'll have to contact the admins there.
  25. I don't mean to cause offence or hurt you kiwi_pearls, but its clear that you have no idea how to run a site as large as Tip It and are naive about web hosts in general.
