It's a one time purchase. I have the app myself.

If they do it again I hope they don't tell the barely dozen people that bothered going to the "secret event" not to rush out. We all carried on the day thinking it was just as bit of fun, handed in our sheets later in the day and were told it was a race. Frigging joke.

Jagex have been to other conventions in America but mostly to talk about Transformers rather than Runescape

How much of the EOC population is bots? More than 25%.

I don't think you are taking into consideration the glorious weather the UK is having, it's certainly making me play less. -
That article is really poorly researched (but as expected from the Daily Fail). The £16 compensation was for the booze he stole the same night, he also paid £85 prosecution costs and a £15 victim surcharge. A total fine of £116 which considering he is of "no fixed abode" must have felt pretty harsh. He wasn't charged with the theft of the virtual items, he was charged with gaining unauthorised access to a computer and making unauthorised modifications to computer material and for that he was given eight-months conditional discharge. It's one of the lowest punishments a court can give and as long as he stays out of trouble for the next 8-months then he'll be fine. I'm sure Jagex will have given the girls stuff back (as they have done on rare occasions). The biggest punishment for this kid is that he'll probably be ridiculed by his mates for playing RuneScape and his relationship with the girl now over.

However by sending out the Missionary he SHOULD then get a new mission for the other adventurer which could be something better like trade goods.

Thanks. Sadly I'm off to Italy for a little while but I'll run some tests on my return. I might need to set it up to record a replay (to avoid messing up a regular recording) for 4 weeks and see what happens :)
-
Wouldn't that require me to make a script for each individual show though? At the moment it's the same basic script that just runs as different times naming the file.

Let me explain a little more. We are a community radio station where everyone is a volunteer. Our schedule is quite complex. There are two live shows every Wednesday (easy to make a cron) however there are also some shows on wednesday which are only on every 2 weeks or even once a month. Saturday and Sundays have live shows but those shows are only on once every 4 weeks. There is also a monday show every 4 weeks too. One off random specials during the week aren't an issue as they are not regular. We run a 4 weekly schedule (http://frome.fm/wp-c...-v18-Sheet1.pdf) the ones with red backgrounds are live shows. You can see my frustration :( Misplacedme: I'll look into that later as I need to pop out now. :)

Is that possible? Sounds a bit obvious but it could work?

Unplanned Downtime

Yes there is but on this occasion no notice was posted to it. @runetips -
Bugger. I was worried that would be the case. I've got about 80 crons set up to record live airings of radio shows at specific times and save them to a folder on the webserver. However as we have 4 weekly schedule it means every few weeks I need to make sure I reset the dates on the crons again for the next live show. This works but occasionally I forget and then I need to snag the recording from one of the two backup locations which requires physical access to the studio. I'd rather do this maintenance remotely from my home. I was hoping it was possible to just set them up once and then repeat every 28 days.
-
I'm using DirectAdmin to maintain my crons (see screenshot below) At the moment I have to change those dates in the cron manually. I'm not so fussed by the filename as I can happily live with yymmdd-showname-showname.mp3 as it'll be edited before the next time it airs anyway. How would I set that to increment and activate on the 28th run?
-
Quick question... How do I make a cron job to repeat every 4 weeks as opposed to the same day each week/month. Thanks.

Why is it lame? the magazine is still on sale so it's not like me posting a scan is the only way people can get to read it. The magazine is edited and published by Future publishing in Bath and as it's a business local to me I want to support them. I don't have a scanner so I would have to photograph each page individually and crop. Don't know if I can be bothered at all now due to the hostility.
-
I could... but it's still on sale here in the UK so I won't just yet.

This is different to the e-magazine a few weeks ago. I bought it. It contains a months free members as well.

5 weeks since my last oxhead & horseface. Still only have 2/4 wanted. Use up all 15 rolls+random reward rolls every day and still nothing :(

You might not get a Windows machine with the same build quality etc but in 3 years time you'll have money left over (compared to if you bought a mac) to buy a brand new one which then WILL DEFINITELY be a higher spec than the mac is.

Runescape 3 is coming this summer...(BTS Bonus edition)

Maybe it performs better on ARM processors better than on Intel which is why it requires an i5. Or maybe during the beta stage they don't want people complaining about poor performance on older/lower spec computers while they are still tweaking and developing. By saying at this stage you need an i5 etc they arent offering false promises until the engine is closer to completion. However that's a bit moot right now because Jagex have no plans to make a RuneScape app for iOS limitations with WebGL means that it will only work on Android in the Chrome Beta app (not stock browser or even the standard Chrome app). Tomorrow when beta launches it won't work on an iPad, it wont work on an iPhone (well... nothing iOS really) or WinPho8 or Blackberry10... in fact it won't work on anything less than Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) with the caveat you must also install a beta Chrome app. Android's global market share is about 40%. Of that 40% just under half of Android devices are running a sufficiently high enough version of the OS to be able to run Chrome Beta (which is not installed by default). It's a pretty big fail for mobile compatibility... for now.- 416 replies
