  1. Even if it DOES say your name be wary of phishing scams. It's not difficult to match a players RuneScape name to an email.
  2. Really poor practice to send the email out with the links still branded Bluehornet, the name of their marketing email system, especially when they go on so much about making sure all urls are runescape.com
  3. Scanning the computer is pointless because you could just run RuneScape in a virtual machine or remote viewer and let the bot control the mouse etc from a different computer.
  4. RuneScape graphical updates are like painting the Forth Bridge!
  5. If you don't want to rely on a 3rd party in-between Jagex and your scripts you can use this lite version of the hiscores taken directly from the RuneScape website. http://services.runescape.com/m=hiscore_oldschool/index_lite.ws?player=xxx Wasn't particularly hard to find, don't really know why 3hit wants to keep it secret?
  6. So much for being nice, that's just you promoting your own website. This is ME being nice... http://services.runescape.com/m=hiscore_oldschool/index_lite.ws?player=xxx Example http://services.runescape.com/m=hiscore_oldschool/index_lite.ws?player=3___hit___u
  7. Why put extra load on your own server when Tipit can scrape it themselves?
  8. Yo dawg I heard you like beta testing so I put a beta test in your beta test.
  9. I don't quite get the logic of making the imp charm collector a dungeoneering reward though, other than to try to force repeat play into the "skill". Maybe if it was a gorajo like a newborn hoardstalker or something it might make more sense or even as a reward for doing the charmsprites minigame they are going to be reworking this month.
  10. I can add to the list of NON ex mods who think the lock was justified as well. According to Census 2011 for Cambridge the population of all "White" ethnicities (sum of White; English/Welsh/Scottish/Northern Irish/British, White; Irish, White; Gypsy or Irish Traveller and White; Other White) is 82.5%. In the UK when you apply for a job we have equality laws which means things like age and ethnicity are kept separate from the recruitment process so you can't discriminate when holding interviews for jobs. Not that I really need to justify with figures like this because we KNOW that Jagex has employees of all ethnicities and backgrounds. You can see it in thier BTS videos, the PoP sea shanty and I saw them myself, at RuneFest. I don't know what your beef is with Tripsis but on this subject at least you are wrong wrong wong. Disclosure: I've met Tripsis in real life and shes a lovely woman.
  11. Check that your navbar setting is the same in DGsweeper as in-game.
  12. Yep, and I tried for an hour last night to find a screenshot of it without success :(
  13. Isn't modifying the code/websockets easier to detect though? Also could Jagex run the game under https as well to prevent cheaters?
  14. Theory: It means they couldn't use reverse engineering techniques like injection or reflection and would have to use more easy to detect methods of botting such as colour picking?
  15. The anti-cheating aspects are interesting but the Java client will still be available so I don't know how effective that would be.
  16. According to his video earlier, his cat did it. Conclusive proof of account sharing. Ban ban ban!
  17. Bootstrap eh.... interesting.
  18. There are different implementations of the local storage though so Chrome might be the only browser on release.
  19. Pretty accurate representation of 2007 to me *rolls* This was always going to happen, everyone started from scratch in 07scape and there is enough of a demand for people wanting to cheat their way to the top for the bot devs to develop for it. Surely noone is actually surprised by this?
  20. You pay to sleep at a guesthouse ;)

Yes that would void the warranty. Best bet is contacting the place you bought it from for a replacement. My Android tablet is actually a HP Touchpad so it might be different for you but try holding the power on button and the volume up button for around 30 seconds. This will attempt a reboot.
  22. The difference being that some random things in RuneScape are primarily used legitimately and we should avoid breaking game features unless absolutely neccesary. In contrast there are no legitimate reasons for bots, scamming and spamming.
  23. They don't need to disable any other methods. The message has clearly been given that it is NOT wanted and is against the rules. Hell... why not use one of those annoying login popups to explicitly state it. That way there is no excuse for anyone to play the naieve card. Anyone caught doing it now risks instant ban or mute and the punishments now need to come down harsh not only on the hosts but also the players participating. Do so at own risk.
  24. Huh.. you could take flowers into dungeoneering? Edit: Didn't realise you could use ring of kinship to view other teammates inventories on daemonheim peninsula outside of a dungeon until today.
