It's a bit misleading to say that you could use 1GB data in 7days because thats assuming someone plays 24/7. It's almost 188 hours of play for that amount of data and at even 6 hours of play a day you would'nt go over 1GB in a month (if most the stuff was in your cache at least). Saying that though, I play RuneScape with my partner so ever hour of play is twice the data so if more people are playing the faster the data bandwidth is used.

Thanks. I mostly solo anyway so it's not that big a problem for me right now but it's something I'd like to get working in the future so I can do it duo with Suzi. :)

How many times are you going to post questions about this subject and get the same answer each time?

I suspect that something has happened to the default search engine used in Chrome. I don't have access to Chrome right now but I'll check later.

It's a shame they didn't use the opportuinity to animate the SoF using the proper game engine so it looks less "tacked on".

DGSweeper runs fine when running normally but as soon as I activate DGconnect the map resets to the advert every few seconds even when I'm the only person in the group.

Ahhh. Still not working. It's not capturing the map. The map is also showing not in the normal place. The launcher has been renamed to the correct file so im a little stumped. Old versions work ok. Edit: Fixed it by turning Navigation to 'disabled'. What does that actually do?

That was exactly it Stev, thanks. I'd changed it so long ago to wmgame, exe that I'd completely forgotton I'd done it. Changed back to JagexLauncher, exe runescape and it's working again.

By your logic, it is illegal to have drop parties or to give away free gp to some scrubs. Quit grasping for straws, Stev's example is a perfectly legit loophole. I'm not grasping for straws those are different scenarios. You don't accept real money from someone when you put items in the party room or when you trade your friends free stuff. The legal loophole would have to have no relation to "free runescape character with every joke" and more "give me donations" and in a completely unrelated note I randomly decide to give you some in-game items.

But you can't give away something for free you don't legally own either so that wouldn't work as an argument.

RuneScape will automatically log you out and reload the client after 6 hours of continuous play.

A lot of wasted screen space... I don't use toolkits because I like seeing runescape as big as possible. Why can't those elements pop up OVER the runescape game window a la DGsweeper?

Sometimes people forget what they have put online and what questions they used. Years ago you may have put as one of your recovery questions something such as "Favourite album ". Now years later you might post on another forum thread such as The "Your favourite....?" game! what that was without realising the connection. For an inactive account this might be all the information required to eventually persuade Jagex they are you.

There are people who "specialise" in trying to recover accounts from retired or inactive accounts. This coupled with the often woefully inexperienced customer support staff can often mean accounts can be lost to "hackers" with very minimal information. Information which could be gleaned from database thefts from fansites or even from social networking sites like Facebook or Twitter. I too once had my account stolen when I was quit for a few years. Nowadays Jagex gives us some much more secure tools to keep safe so always take advantage of them and activate JAG for enhanced security.

[email protected] seems to be the fastest way to a response. I'm sure you will be able to recover the account. Whether that's in time to stop the theft of the items I'm not sure, it's already been 5 days. Good luck and remember to activate JAG as soon as you gain possession of the account back.

I'd read the description again because I have the SwftKit app and it doesn't say you can play RuneScape on it.

If nothing comes up after doing virus scans and using anti malware software such as MalwareBytes or SpybotS&D then you probably lost your account to a phishing site (a fake runescape login page) rather than from a keylogger. I do NOT reccomend playing around with HijackThis unless you understand what you are doing as you can seriously damage your computer by removing the wrong things. As Sy Accursed said there are a number of things that you can do to increase the security of your account: 1. Firstly put on a bank pin immediately. It's a simple addition and ensures that if someone managed to get onto your character they will be unable to siphon off your bank immediately as they will have to wait several days for the pin to reset. 2. Secondly activate JAG. This locks your account to a whitelist fo computers and means that even if someone has your password they will be unable to login to your character on an unauthorised computer. 3. Lastly make sure you are using Gmail or another email providor which has a 2-step verification service. 2-step verification is a system where you not only have to enter your password but you also need to enter a time limited code which either shows on your phone using a smartphone app for sms text message. If you use all three systems listed above then you are going to be very secure. I could tell you my username and password right now as well as the email address I use for RuneScape and I guarantee you that you would be unable to "hack" my account.

I don't keep it a secret from my friends that play but I find it amusing one particular friend who takes the piss out of me playing online games before going on championship manager every wakeable hour of the weekend.
