  1. Well, there are reasons why capes like Cooking and Fletching is so common, is because they can done by looking off screen. Those that say it is boring and that their cape is amazing because of it just lost the script. Like above, set goals. Get a certain amount, rest and stuff. It is not entirely bad to just thieve using another method. Even if is slower, you are at least not as bored by doing the same action all day. For example, you are very close to the Blackjack location anyway, you can try your hands on that for a while. Get in the habit of farming. Use an amulet of nature on the last herb, and then go thieve till they are ready. Decent income from it.
  2. High levels always hate luck. A level 99 defense will last longer than a 90 defense generally. Is like a dice with 3 sides being the same number. If the system do not have any luck in place, a lower level will ALWAYS lose if in the same circumstance, it be too linear. The amount of skill (as in player skill) in RS is limited, there is only so much you can do. If you do make it a more complex system, it will affect all the way from PvP to hitting a cow. RS is simple, keep it that way. There are plenty of work arounds. It is too reliant on luck on the basis that a duel between 2 players is based too much on much damage you did with your dds special, then the subsequent whip/GS damage. Thats why a lot of people prefer F2P combat, as it is less so about outright KO power.
  3. Black Demons in Chaos Dungeon. There are 3 Demons that is safespot-able from the start, the 4th one when they are non-aggressive. Good rate of charms and you can semi-multi task them.
  4. There is always some form of market manipulation from Jagex. But it all to do with updates. If Jagex truly want millions on their own account they can just put a few codes to their characters. But all in all, it is to the best interest of PLAYERS to increase the price of flatpack as it it essentially can cause construction to be PROFITABLE. This is the most important thing. Essentially, with Grimm buying at MID-PRICE, it literally eliminates the possibility of price fall, if we assume that, all sellers of flatpacks are knowledgeable. This does not mean Construction will be more accessible to the lower level, planks may rise along with flatpacks due to affordability. Key thing is, there is a ceiling for Oak plank and nothing belong mid-price for flatpacks. All in all, with some player manipulation, you can level construction without major costs. The obvious candidate for the most price increase is anything that gives the uttermost experience. And if I'm current, Opulent Table is the highest experience giver of a flatpack item hence it is obvious candidate. Other items may give more XP per inventory space, but Opulent table has a relatively low level requirement.
  5. Heavy Rod is Barbarian Training, Tip.it has a guide on it. Monkfish is in the Pictarois (spl) Colony, is North of the Woodlands hunting area (which is North West of the Gnomes).
  6. Interesting. But what is needed is a comparison of figures, to reinforce it. Ideally from a 10/5, 9/6 and 8/7 just to show the differences.
  7. Any Obsidian Weapon, mainly the sword I think, good base bonuses and same speed as Scimmy and whip if Im correct.
  8. The need of range defense is important. The bonuses is extremely irrelevant, is more of keeping it reasonable. Against the Avansies, you can almost think Maging melee Barrow brothers....they can be easily killed by magic despite fully armoured. Avansies can and will hit hard when they do.
  9. Simply put, I won't be playing RuneScape.
  10. I'm blind. Maybe I saw you taking food there.....nevermind. Why getting hung up on the food you take? Technically, if you cannot survive salmon per Avansi, the BTP aren't all that useful. You can hunt other creatures for bones I know, but it be a terrible waste of time. You really should take Barrows though, a Granite plate gives 97 ranged defense, while Barrows gives 132. Thats more than 30% stats. And because your defense level aren't terribly high, nor is your range, you can't really get away with it by sheer tanking or firepower. The Avansies are very profitable, the repair is almost irrelevant.
  11. Regardless of where you heard that, that is wrong. The KB reinforces what I say: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=536 Again, you are more than 20 spaces away from them.
  12. I will am a bit "mmk" on lack of defense levels and range levels. Ideally you want one or maybe 2 with 80. The beauty of Avansies is that you can stay there for a long time, you aren't going to do that with that setup, especially with food method. The pic you posted is ideal if you plan to pray against them. You have to tank a bit otherwise you be leaving before you are settled as they are capable of hitting 8s and 9s against me, with 85 defense with some Barrows armour, with relative frequency. On the same token, don't overestimate their defense. They are extremely easy to hit. Obby shield is the best range defense shield after D-Fire and Crystal Bow, is better than having no slots in the shield. Ideally, you want at least Dragon or Granite Armour, preferably Barrows either on your chest or legs and helm. Consider buying Bones to Peaches tablets, it should work for you if you tank a bit more.
  13. No I assume. Anyone assisting on the armour set must be within a certain distant away from you, so he must be in the house with you (if you check on the sextant, you are technically miles away to the west). However, you cannot have a friend in your house while building mode is on and thats the only way you can build it. So logistically impossible.
  14. It is possible as getting 6 in 10 consecutive dice rolls. Possible. You can in fact get +6 in every skill that applies if you are extremely lucky.

    Elite

^ He sold it. You only keep one set at end of quest.
  16. Right and wrong. A lot of people do have 69 to make the Gilded Altar, but not because of evil stew. It is a combination of tea, which give a +3 boost when you have level 2 teak items in kitchen and the Crystal Saw which gives a invisible +3, making a +6 boost. And a lot of people go further due to love of a house. It is one of several areas where you actually get individuality in RS. As for the stew, you need 3 spices. 1 spice = +/- 2. 2 spice =+/- 4. So yea, you need 3, Wont be a pain if you got a grown cat. Brown spices yea.

Apparently it is a very rare drop according to a Jmod.
  18. I can see where Jagex is coming from but there is a coupe things: -The true questers, those that do it without guides suffer greatly while those that have their hands held will not run into the trouble. What they should have done is offer another method of obtaining the set of armour which require more work but can end up to the same outcome without additional financial input or luck. Some safe guards to prevent people obtaining 3 sets, so everything is fair. In terms of a challenge, quests traditionally operate on the basis that required items can be recovered from the same person you obtained them from. Thats the basis some questers work from, sometimes to save inventory space. As most people can tell you, inventory space can become an issue in quests. In terms of storylines, the "adventurer" normally takes on the dirty work or the leftovers. In the rescue of Salif, most questers will probably assume that the only thing required for the player is to rescue him. It is a tradition that in quests, when the needs of a NPC is fulfilled, they simply teleport out. In most other quests, indeed the player would just finish the what was Salif doing. As we shown by Legends Quest, the adventurer is very adept in mapping anyway. So there isn't a big reason to keep to the extra Elite set based on past experiences. The way the armours is placed creates misconception to the player. They really should make you unable to reach the second set without the first elite set, as the one in the cupboard may seem like it was merely an alternative. And as in most quests, the item required is normally dropped straight away by the NPC in focus, not dropped when player have all required and will re-drop if the player needs it again. A player can certainly assume it will be the same as well. --- Bottomline, it is still not smart to drop the set, one should have enough experience in Quest to only drop something when it is definitely useless but Jagex should have offered more alternatives. Past quests hold the player's hand too much, this quest is not the culmination of skills earned in the past, instead it is new challenges that contradicts what Jagex had done in the past.
  19. Thats pretty accurate. I killed a few, can't say I'm an expert though. Dragon Hide is best for all round defense and range. What you wear is not important, is the attack bonuses it gives. You wouldn't do too badly if you want to mage and wear robes but if you are slow in protecting against attacks, you would be hurt a lot more. Melee armour is out of the question as you need to range/mage. Barrow gloves, fury, Neitiznot, accumulator/Firecape/Trim/God cape and D-Boots is what I recommend you wear for other parts. Mainly attack bonuses. Familiar should be a BoB or Unicorn. Bunyip doesn't heal enough to justify over a Terrorbird with Monks or better. Darklight is essential (from Sir Prysin in Varrock Castle, Ground floor if you dropped it). A GS is best for melee in my opinion, with the ability to hit higher meant you won't need to switch as much. Ranging, Ruby bolts is good, but you can go there with normal adamant bolts and won't matter much. Have a couple blue latern, in case you die you can return quickly.
  20. And -6. Essentially 1 in 13 chance if you need 6. And then there is issue of getting the right spice. It be frustrating, but in the long run it is worth it to just level. Farming, smithing and runecrafting are all profitable skills if trained the right way.
  21. You might have re-apply the weakening further down the line. As yet, I can fit 2 demons with no familiar, but should get to 4 once I'm more adept at reading their changes. And another 2 more with BoB perhaps.
  22. I killed 2 Demons: 27 lava runes Various seeds (spirt weed, marentill, limpwurt (2), 1 watermelon, 1 strawberry and 1 wildblood hop) - all in same drop
  23. Is there a consistent method of isolating one of the demons?
  24. The banning is not due to third paty clients being a threat, it is the capacity to be a threat. Player welfare is high on Jagex's list, perhaps too some may say. And some is due to the capacity to place players on advantageous positions and threat to the running of free servers due to ad blocking. Swiftkit is perfectly legal if you are wondering for it does not breach third party client guidelines. Again, it does not equal to perfect safety.
  25. I think the 3 month example is off, people always claim about the short amount of time. If the guy spends 12 hours a day on average on it, and topic creator spends 1 hour per week, this means he will get 99 in 36 months. There is a difference. Achieving it in 3 months does not mean pure ess is faster than granite or that it is indeed a fast form of mining, which this topic asks for. As mentioned above, granite and full world iron for F2P is fastest way. Forget about coal, is slower to mine than iron and worth not much more. Gold is always a good option for cash, but ideally only do it if you are P2P as the lack of gold ores in F2P would mean you would be competing for ores a bit too often.
