I have little worries about being attacked, as all of my colonies are either in africa, or south america, or orbiting Rigel Kentarus. Large scale invasion would be impossible, or very difficult, and I would say that my military might is atleast equal to that of both russia and germany, so they have nothing to gain by attacking me. Sere, you have an advantage since you're not attached to the mainland, so it's a bit harder to move troops to attack you, should they decide to do that. If they attack you, you'll just have to fight back or surrender. For now they're not fighting you, so that gives you time to catch up should they ever decide to attack.

Some work like that. Some use lasers. Mine is a two tiered system, the first being lasers, and if it gets past that, it's something that would be considered missiles, though they're technically not.

What with all this war talk going on, we're quintupling money going into missile defense, and are putting our new targeting systems into all existing defense units. In a few years our Missile shields will be almost impenetrable. Also, we've finished modernizing all military funded satellites with the same technology.

I won't sign a truce, simply because that would sort of put me against all the people you're fighting. But, unless something substantial changes, I have nothing to gain from fighting in this war, so I won't. And crashing the spacecraft would be more of a last-ditch thing. Considering they cost a few hundred billion each, I'd be losing a lot of money, and even if my missile shields would stop most of your missiles, I'd rather not take any chances. Oh, and are you at war with Iran? Or are you just waiting for them to declare war at you?

We actually have two in orbit, which were the first prototypes of our new types of ships. Neither have been sent out of Earth's orbit yet other than for testing. No, you couldn't. These would be traveling at speeds upwards of 15 km/s. In otherwords, you would have roughly 12 seconds from the time I decided to do it, to the time they hit your country. And even if you did manage to hit one with a rocket launcher, they are designed to withstand just about anything do the forces they have to withstand traveling at the speeds they do. In any case, Dusty's right. Unless you guys attack Norway, there is very small chance of me interfering.

Even though all my colonies have a missile shield, even the best shield is only 75% effective. I assume missiles are being pointed at my countries, and I ask that they be aimed elsewhere immediately. Here's my threat if they are not re-aimed. I'll crash a few spaceships into your major cities. The resulting dust cloud would cease production of food in most of Europe and Asia for a good amount of time, causing billions to starve. And nobody wants that. Whereas you have the means to destroy a few countries, I have the means to destroy most of the world.

We our now sending in surveyors to both the former United States and Mexico in order to see how extensive the damage is to each place. Much of the infrastructure in Mexico is probably damaged, but it's still probably inhabitable. In the US, I imagine pretty much every bit of humanity is gone, though forests have probably grown a lot in the last 15 years or so since it was destroyed. In the past 12 years, all the remaining central American countries, along with columbia have joined together to create a small empire in order to compete with the super-nations forming around the world. We are negotiating with them about them joining the Brazilian Empire, as they would have much to gain. With the declaration of war, Brazilian troops have helped Norway secure all of it's borders. Unless indy has anything against that. and as for russia sending 1.5 million troops into each country it invades, if you add that up, that's over 10% of you're total population. That's way more of an army than anyone can sustain. Your entire nation starves unless you cut back. Brazil and any of it's colonies will be accepting refugees from this war. We have a lot of free space in some of our african states.

I personally draw the line at a two year difference, but whatever floats your boat. And here it's 15 if both people are 18 or under, 16 for everything else.

I know people who simply can't learn guitar no matter how long they spend practicing, and they actually do try, and then I picked it up almost immediately. People's brains are different.

I would suggest 61 Cyg A, it's a blueish star, 11 lightyears away. And that's a nice map, dusty.

Oxidation, despite the name, if I remember my chemistry correctly, doesn't only refer to oxygen. Oxygen is just the most common oxidizer on earth.

Actually, Iran did. And it's probably atleast 10 lightyears away, and I'm the only one other than Norway with the technology to reach, and our only interstellar ship is already long gone. Also, the planet's only green because of copper, not because of plant life. Ok, so our spacecraft should be reaching the planet within 6 months (12 hours). We won't know for another 5 years though. All communications we've received up to this point show that the ship is doing well, morale is still high, and it's recently reached what we believe is it's max speed. Production of ships that we are selling is going well. By next year we will have one of both type. In two years, we will have two more colony ships.
