The Teachers' Union in my school district has called for a massive strike after the school board has passed a motion stating that unions will no longer be recognized. With a large number of the teachers at my school in the union, the school should be pretty much empty. Tomorrow's going to be pretty interesting.

Did he dip it in nitroglycerin or something? I think he confused nitroglycerine (clear substance) with liquid citric acid. Citric acid is white in solid form, so it probably was clear in its liquid form. Why on earth he had nitroglycerin in the same vicinity as his precious gum-dip, I have no idea. At least he learned from his mistake and won't dare do it again.

In an effort to revive the thread, I am going to go ahead and change some things in order to add more appeal. First of all, we are no longer using the Pangea map (which I believe caused some disinterest). Instead, we are using a map of Earth. Will post more information later.

With the apparent schism, I propose that we throw out some of the more complicated stuff that was dragging this game down to begin with, and we use the arbitrary system from the old Hegemony (and a neutral person can just be there to guarantee that the results are reasonable based on judgement).

People still have interest in playing this game, right?

Already reported it on the "Bad ad" thread. The site is called "Antimalware.com" or something like that. Be wary. (To be honest, I'd just shut your computer down and restart if it traps you. Don't click anything!) EDIT: If you guys can get more information about the ad than I did, please forward the information to an admin. It needs to be quashed, but sadly it comes back after several months.

Update: There are seven more years until Second Life goes public. Plans for the first Gaian colony is underway. I cannot stress the gravity of some of the projects that I'm working on with Kamino. They will revolutionise our society. Kajean population is estimated to be at around 2 billion. The City Improvement Programme has commenced. It will aim at creating and restoring monuments in cities, along with the ongoing infrastructure upkeep. The development of monuments should increase citizens' pride of their cities and increase their morale even more. It should also improve the tourism industry. Cities such as Jerusalem will also be improved. Cities will look more wealthy (including the public transportation systems that have been installed in every metropolitan city years ago), which should match the drastic improvements to the average quality of life. The Grand Memorial Museum has opened to the public. This museum features many artefacts recovered from Britannian and Holy Empire lands on Earth (including the pyramids!). Parts of the museum are decorated with an opulent style. Gas harvesting facilities are being built around the two gas giants. The national anthem has been changed from Rule, Britannia! (or "God Save the King" as it was used later on) to Land of Hope and Glory. We believe that it will reflect the triumph of individual happiness over imperialism. What if someone boards the ship (wearing a bio-suit) and opens up your air locks?

Our ships aren't filled with ethanol, though. They would have to all have plenty of ethanol in their exosuits (assuming they all even have a suit) in order to survive on our ships. I also assume that they can deplete their ethanol supply (just like we can use up our oxygen), causing them to suffocate. I'm further assuming that people don't have any submachine gun turrets scattered throughout their ships, preventing boarding.
