  1. Mather -- The Anglo-Saxons weren't Nordic. Although we may (and mistakenly) consider them to be Norse, they did share a very similar culture. Nordic refers to Northern Germanic tribes. The Angles and Jutes came from what is now Denmark, and the Saxons came from Saxony. There was the Danelaw in eastern England where Danes conquered part of the Anglo-Saxon territory, but that doesn't make Anglo-Saxons fellow Norsemen (Vikings).
  2. Because I'm pretty sure that Luxembourg only has one city. Not to mention that you won't be able to enjoy it. We can probably work something out where you can get Belgium, though. That will at least give you enough territory so you aren't landlocked, thus allowing you to expand.
  3. We gave up on this after I got pissed off and deleted Halo Demo and Halo PC as well as all of my modding programs. If you have Halo PC, you can't join a game that someone with Halo Demo hosts. Likewise, you can't really mod Halo Demo. Halo Demo was also extremely laggy for me and had bad graphics. I guess we can probably pursue this again sometime in the future, but it seems to be too much of a cluster[bleep], in my opinion.
  4. *Cough* Declare war on Belgium.
  5. I just tried this skill on my main account, and I thought that it was pretty fun. It's pretty clever that you would have to stand between the carcass and the Gluttonous Behemoth in order to kill it. ;)
  6. *sigh* It was a lot more fun when we played Hegemony because we DIDN'T start off the same. Even though we're unequal, that doesn't mean nations such as Iran or Brazil can't become superpowers. You just need to be more creative and less idiotic. If the US is too much of a problem, then we could make it a shadow country. That's what we did with China and the US in the original game. It was fun. It would also be more fun if annexations required force.
  7. To be honest, we played without the US in the game for the longest. It added a lot more fun to the game.
  8. A defence pact with the Icelandic government is being worked out.
  9. The Royal office has changed. The office of King and Queen has been replaced by the title of LORD PROTECTOR. Behold! The Commonwealth of Britannia! Upon the Queen's death, Britannian citizens will have the opportunity to elect a Lord Protector (who will serve a life term) from the list of heirs to the throne.
  10. :twss: Good lord, we have already started arguing. :wall:
  11. To be fair, skills such as slayer require other skills (combat). This can be considered a third/fourth/fifth tier skill. However, I do agree with you. This is much more like an elaborate minigame. Jagex dug a hole for themselves when they promised to release a new skill and instead released a huge minigame and called it a skill. If they started to call it an Activity, the negative feedback would be much higher since people want it to be called a skill because a new skill sounds like an epic update. Dungeoneering has a lot of potential, nonetheless. There are some obvious things that Jagex can do to improve it, but it's something that people currently know very little about; it's unfair to judge it right now.
  12. I stand corrected. There is a solo option.
  13. To be honest, there could very well be an expansion pack coming in the upcoming months, just like Summoning. Here are some suggestions, though. -Make more areas to train the skill besides Daemonheim -Add Dungeoneering-related content to Construction for use in a POH (such as an Armoury room, etc) -Make weapons from Dungeoneering able to be used outside. -Add higher level armor and bonuses (which I assume will be done anyway). -Make single-player dungeons so people aren't forced to play in groups, but they earn a little less experience in the process. -Allow players to get more fame within the Fremennik clan through their progress in Dungeoneering. (i.e. You are referred to as "Rillim the Mighty".) As far as feedback, I've only heard positive comments (other than the few comments above this post). The majority of people seem to like the new skill/minigame (whatever you want to call it, doesn't matter). However, there are complaints coming from the group aspect of it. There definitely needs to be an alternative for people who don't want to play with other people. Maybe a single-player option could substitute teammates with NPC Fremennik warriors?
  14. Are items like only useable inside dongeons? Or can they be used outside as well? Can only be used inside, as far as I'm aware They should be used outside as well, so as to curb inflation. PS: I hope they release a new room for Construction called Armoury so we can show off some of our Dungeoneering equipment or whatnot. It would also be nice to be able to put a Daemonheim teleportal in your house.
  15. Apparently RuneScape just took Archi's idea and made a new skill called Dungeoneering. Hmm. --------------------- Britannia is beefing up border security. Likewise, we are toying with the idea of a special Anglo-Saxon alliance called the Family of Nations (Canada, United States, Australia, New Zealand, etc). We are also announcing the end of our Open Door policy (immigration) and will now have much stricter immigration (involving quotas, etc).
  16. Hopefully this will deflate the economy a little bit. You have to pay 1-2m to recharge armor that you get from this skill, and some of the armor is better than currently used ones.
  17. I think it might be the new skill, guys. I have a feeling it might be called Dungeoneering. Dunno, just a guess.
  18. I will send you my blueprints (maxed out house, by the way) if you want to look at them for inspiration. I have a pretty house. I don't have time to do it tonight, but I will do it sometime tomorrow when I get the chance. Actually, I can even give you a tour through my POH if you want to catch me on tomorrow. My RSN is: Rei. ----------------------------------- Anyway, when designing your house, take aesthetics and functionality into consideration. For example, you may want a combat ring and second chapel in your dungeon for PVP. A firepit (no cage) by the chapel and adjacent to the ring would also facilitate people who use Dharok's equipment for PVP (and be sure to not put monsters in your oubliette or PVP area). Keep a chapel with a gilded altar reasonably close to your house entrance. Put things like bedrooms upstairs. Etc.
  19. Country: Britannia Player:Serephurus Leader Name: Lord Protector Charles Windsor --------------------Prime Minister Winson Churchold National Anthem: Comrades, the Voices! Government: Authoritarian Crowned Republic
  20. Who said it was tomorrow? If the update comes tomorrow, that would be pretty epic. I have to go to school a few hours late because of some business that I have to take care of. Maybe it will update during that time so I can check it out before heading off to my classes.
  21. I used to pick up small items all of the time when I was a lower level and not as familiar with the game. Now, it just seems pointless for me to do so because I can just make a lot more arrows or coins at a quicker rate than I would be able to collect off of the ground. However, I will pick up expensive bolts.
  22. I played it and i- ALL HAIL OUR SWEDISH FATHERLAND! Anyway, great ga- I'LL DEFINITELY JOIN THE SWEDISH ARMY NOW!
  23. The United Nations is a pretty worthless organization.
  24. I highly doubt it. I am 95% positive that the new area will become known as Daemonheim, especially since 'heim' is an Old Norse word and the Fremenniks are based on the Vikings. Although, it is rather strange that a new Fremennik-related area is located on the other side of the Wilderness.
  25. Didn't Jagex promise a Construction update this year? (Especially more rooms?)
