  1. I can't stand the brush being dry when I stick it in my mouth; it's much easier to spread the toothpaste over my teeth when the brush is wet, providing lubrication. If people kept an open-mind about everything and strove to tried to be rational about everything, they would very possibly notice that they change their opinions regarding several things frequently (over years); the rational mind is ever-changing and ever-growing.
  2. +1 People take things too seriously on here sometimes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Apart from the list that I posted previously, OT has taught me to try to sound as intelligent as possible in every single post that I make. However, I, among others, have eventually realized that 1) This is the Internet; no one cares how you type, and 2) It is pointless to argue over the Internet, so just relax and have fun when you engage in conversations over various topics. It's interesting how people have developed over the years, especially concerning religion and politics. When I first joined, I was a devout Christian, but I eventually became agnostic. I was also very conservative with conservative parents. However, I started to lean toward the Left spectrum of politics, even so far as to advocate socialism; my parents were still conservative. Now, I am leaning toward the Right side of the political spectrum (if you were to classify me, but I hate both political parties and align myself with none), but my father is leaning toward the Left side of the spectrum and advocates socialism (without being a communist). It's quite interesting. I have also noticed that some members have changed their views; I know of one in particular that used to be atheistic, but he now considers himself to be an agnostic. Another member used to be Left-leaning, but now he's a full-blown conservative.
  3. This setup brings me a nostalgia trip and reminds me when I used to play RuneScape a lot in the 8th grade. ;) (It was taken recently on my main.) When did that happen? (I will go there ASAP because I wanted them on my main for my defence cape.)
  4. Here's the bank of my old (*cough* failed) pure/noob account that I don't really use anymore. I used to get on it and collect Arrav shields. The bank's nothing special, except for the Arrav shields and the discontinued training shield/sword. Anyway, I collected Arrav shields (both halves) on my main, Rei, but I only have 16 of each left. I remember buying them from people (get a friend to collect them and trade them to me). If you're wondering what happened to the others, I used about half of my collection for a drop party for the first time that I quit RuneScape (back in early '07). I wish they were tradeable still and still had their original color (royal blue); I would still collect them for fun. Hell that's the real way to play RuneScape (to have fun). I don't understand why anybody would want to treat the game like a chore all of the time. Even though training skills and making money allows you to greater things in the future, there are a LOT of people that do it all of the time. It just never pays off.
  5. We could also take an idea from my one of my RPG suggestions (the forgotten game that's basically Fallout) and set up something like two or three factions (empires) and allow a player to choose which empire that they want to join. Just a suggestion.
  6. I've lived there on two separate occasions; both times I have lived in the USA for longer than a year. I have lived on both the western and eastern coastlines. I never said you had to be like us, but I did say that we were different. I have also traveled to and have taken scenic tours through over fifteen states. :D Fixed.
  7. What is the picture? (Can you explain what it is in hide tags so as not to spoil it?) I'm a real [kitty] when it comes to this stuff, but I am also extremely curious. <_<
  8. I'm adding two books to my reading list: -American Poems (1776-1900) - Augustus White Long -Pilgrim's Progress - John Bunyan Also, I've thought about reading Red Badge of Courage. Is it a good book? (Yeah, I'm trying to read a few Classics.)
  9. Hmm. I keep getting the notion that I would end up playing as the Texan Republic if I were to play what we are arguing over.
  10. And killing people with a baseball bat is bad. Killing a bad person isn't bad. Don't be a moron. Everybody has a right to live, it doesn't make a difference wether or not people are bad, they have the right nonetheless. Foetuses don't count. ;)
  11. -Australia's government sucks. -God is a lie. -The cake is a pie. -Don't shave the hairs of thy [wagon]. -Glass is harmful if ingested. -Westboro Baptist Church is [developmentally delayed]ed. -Furry fandom is okay. -Furry fandom is freaking weird. -Let's support homosexuals because they're cool. -George Bush can dodge shoes. -Evolution is a sound theory. -Cats are cute (pet picture thread) -US schools are [developmentally delayed]ed. -Tag was banned in a Colorado school. -A person was stabbed in the head because he cheated at CS. -Electronic cigarettes are good. -Marijuana isn't as bad as people say it is. That's all I can remember. Let's not forget the discussion about rubber balls and testicular torsion. ;)
  12. We could do Alpha Centauri and the system that Midgard was in, both of which are real star systems that possibly hold habitable planets.
  13. Just pay us reparations for the centuries of Viking violence and I'll consider it. :)
  14. We still haven't forgiven you for raiding our monasteries and murdering our monks...And the Danelaw. Good thing we did away with "the olde religion" centuries before you did. It was filthy and corrupting.... Thor wore a bride's dress once; I don't want my children to look up to him and try to cross-dress, thank you very much. He also, singlehandedly, tore of a bull's head and was constantly fighting the Jotuns. He also stole a mile-wide kettle from Hrymer the Giant and almost killed Thialfi's entire family (peasants) because the poor lad gnawed on the bones of Thor's goats because Thor all of the food that his family offered to their guests, leaving the poor guy nothing. Teaching my children to steal and murder poor people? No thanks.

  16. Good idea! Let's make all of the villains socialists so we [the capitalist nations] can crush them and liberate the people! It's great propaganda for Tip.it. For the record, socialism is just as close to capitalism as it is communism. They all have their good and bad parts, but socialism is the closest to perfect among those that have been mentioned. Socialism is closest to fascism. Hitler was a fascist. He was evil. Therefore, Fascists and communists are evil. To check my proof, let's do this. Stalin was a communist. He killed a lot of peasants, which makes him evil. Therefore, communists are evil. (It matches) Also, socialism = communism.

  18. But that's impossible! My country was a monarchy, and it was all for executing anyone who didn't agree. Not real socialism, Russian socialism. :P How about this? We make socialism/communism against the rules in the new Hegemony.
  19. Come to think of it, we probably shouldn't let Retech play because his country was socialistic in the first Hegemony. Socialism is a threat to capitalism and liberty!!
  20. Healthcare reform is bad, people. Don't let the Washington Democrats (Socialists) turn the USA into the USSA. Tell your local Congressmen to vote NO on healthcare reform! By the way, I think that trying to put everyone on equal terms is socialism. That's distribution of power AND wealth!
  21. I read this post after reading evil_mumm_ra's post, and I interpreted this post in a totally different way.
  22. RIP Kratos
  23. That's still stupid. Only factories can build factories?
  24. I suppose it is easy if you have no life. Seriously, you would have to spend well over 5 hours a day playing RuneScape and do some sort of repetitive task, which is no fun. Collecting items with high street prices and calling it "money" doesn't count either.
  25. Can't we all just get along?
