  1. Its about time someone actually asked creationists for evidence, I was getting fairly sick of them nitpicking evolution yet never giving any evidence of their own belief.
  2. Actually, the Xbox360s future looked pretty decent after its release, but I guess we will have to see.
  3. You don't count. Sony fan boy. :shame: My current score for getting console discussions closed is 4, do you want me to make it 5? This can be perceived as a threat Its weird, especially because I was the one of the only people who even had constructive posts, every other intelligent posted who had an opinion on this topic quit after the first one. Now all I get is is "omg u stoopid fanboy" Maybe because all you talk about is Blue Ray(Which actually does nothing for game play, just lets it play supposedly higher quality movies.) and 1 supposedly decent game. Face it, the PS3 is barely any better than a PS2. It has some potential, but so far none of it has really shown, Sony really messed it up and has barely any chance of actually getting this up with the Xbox360 and Wii. More on topic: I'm definatly getting a Wii, and I've been thinking of getting an Xbox360, though I'm not sure if I'm going to, not that I don't think its a good consol, but I've got other priorities with my money. 1. learn to spell it right 2.It cant enhance game play, except that it can hold more than 5x more game content. MGS has already planned to use the full 50gb 3.name one thing the ps3 cannot do that a 360 can do. It has so much potential that developers will never be able to harness it. The cell processor is so powerful that developers have no way of even pushing its limits At least people on the old topics knew what they were talking about 1. You can understand whats being said can't you? Give me an fing break I just got home from a very long day at work. 2. If they actually have the money to fund it, their games so far arn't very special, you could more than likely find games of same quality or better on the PS2. The new MGS may help out a lot, but its just one good game, only the hard core MGS fans are stupid enough to buy a $600 consol for just 1 game. 3. PS3s barely sell, thus funding for getting game developers making good games is low, meaning not much is to come, Xbox360 on the other hand sells like crazy, thus it has more funding for better games and hardware. Just for the record, I have nothing against Sony, I loved the PS2, and I'm pretty sure I'll probably still like it better than the Wii or the Xbox360, but I really don't have much hope for the PS3.
  4. I never accused anyone of being a fan boy, just stated plain facts.

  6. If you would actually read some of the reviews though, some of these guys mention preteen and teenage children, and I haven't seen mention of many children under 10, of course there are probably some, but these guys are limiting kids who actually can understand such things and are old enough to play them. You are completly missing my point, I mean just look at my first example its freaking Animal Crossing, and the dude is making a big deal out of a fortune teller in it(Which, btw, divination isn't meant to be an occult practice). Sword of Mana has absolutly nothing occult about it unless you look way too far into it, which is what this guy did. I've actually played this game, it is no worse than Zelda, so, unless you have a messed up idea in your head that the Triforce is a cult symbol, this game is completly safe. Matrix: "Lost points for being in a thematic occult environment because of the slant toward eastern religion and mythology" As for Xenosaga, it seems I misread it.
  7. Animal Crossing for DS:  Sword of Mana for GBA: Matrix: Path of Neo: Xenosaga:
  8. First name: Dustin: Valiant Warrior Sites meaning:A fighter Middle name: Ray: King/Kingly Sites meaning: Grace/Counselor/Regal Close enough I guess.

You can test out if having a cell phone on really messes with the flight, I've wanted to find out since they tried and failed to get the right setup on mythbusters. :-k If you come out alive tell me how it went. :

I'm sticking with my PS2 for now until Sony produces something worth buying the PS3 for(Which will probably be quite a while. I'm a hard core RPGer so really, at the moment the PS3 has nothing for me. I'm content with playing Rogue Galaxies on the PS2 for now.
  11. Maybe I'm a different type of person. Perhaps I'm no longer fond of socialising. Perhaps I'm a shy, inward person. Yes, I am. My version of 'having fun' is different. What opportunities would I like to take, then? - Spending a year in France. Studying there. Studying and learning more is a past-time. - Discovering different cultures: tracing my ancestry back to rural China. - Learning more languages to become multi-lingual. Everyone has different paths in life. Everyone has different passions. Who else here actually wants to pursue a future in finance other than me? Also: have you read my post on the 3 big questions in life? I'm seeking self-discovery. My version of 'fun' is about seeking wisdom. Not knowledge, not facts, but wisdom. Mind you, this argument didn't arise from the definition of 'fun'. We're arguing over a censored word which, in my opinion, is morally wrong. May I stress that I'm female. I attend a private all-girls school, and I have my entire schooling life (thankgoodness this is my last). Hence, this issue impacts me differently than it obviously does you. I'm more sensitive. I'm certain that more than 3/4 of the members here are male. Consider being more sensitive, perhaps, in your (pl) future posts. This is geared towards everyone. Honestly. Lastly: I have no regets. I don't dwell on the past. I appreciate what I have, I'm proud of what I've done. I hardly dwell on what could have been. EDIT: My feminist reaction to your first disparaging post was an attitude towards "the issue", NOT my view on life and how to live it. So: anyone want to steer this topic back on track? You know, thats almost exactly how I was in school, and I somewhat still am, though if it means turning all the opportunities around you down, let me tell you its not worth it, I go through every day now wishing I had gone to the school dances, even without a date, gone to a couple partys, joined a few clubs, asked several of the girls out on dates. I regret every bit of it. There was only 1 time I really took advantage of a fun opportunity, and that was at the beginning of the last half of my senior year, my animation class went to Disney World for a few days, and it was the most fun I have ever had, and not just because it was Disney World, but that there were others that I knew around me and we were all having fun. But still 1 event really doesn't make up for the hundreds I have missed out on.
  12. I'm hoping you took notice of my use of 'it', to replace the act, not a person. It's not an accusation specifically aimed at an individual. Lighten up, indeed! So, I take things too seriously, do I? I have my heart set on something. I'm determined to get there. I'm a serious person, by nature. But you know what? People respect me for it. People look up to me for my mature nature; for being a dictionary, translator, encyclopedia. I'm older than my numerical age indicates, and, currently, this mature attitude is helping me get through life. It keeps me focused, helps me concentrate. The accusation seemed to be aimed at me seeing as it was aimed at my statement. If you take things too serious your whole life do you actually think that you'll be happy looking back when you near the end of it? All the opportunitys missed out on, loves lost, there is so much to do in life, if you be serious throughout your life, you won't have access to any of that, sure, it may get you farther job wise, but when you die, do you think that what status you had or how good you did at some job will matter? All you learned about this plane of reality? Have some fun, live life for what it is, live life in the now, rather than the later, all frequently repeated sayings, but each and every one of them have a point. You know, I used to be really serious too, and now that I look back, I regret everything I passed up, sure some things were just stupid fun but still, its fun, you only live life once, and living it seriously like that really is a waste. Don't get me wrong, its good to be mature, but being too mature can really mess things up. I only wish I had realized that before I graduated high school.
  13. Actually I was pretty much just joking around, I would never do it myself, but you all really need to lighten up, taking something so little so seriously, and you call me apalling? Go through life like that and you're sure to get nowhere fast.
  14. Let's see... would you want pr0n* with you in it all over the internet, when you're, say, a middle aged dad or a grandpa? Ugh... I'd hate that, I'd like set a rule that my kids could never use the internet... Get your own chicks and have fun with 'em, no need to shame yourself for it forever :? . *Can we get that word unblocked? I'm sure most everyone here is mature enough to use it properly (and it's not like those who aren't can do a lot of damage with it); it's annoying to try and have an intelligient conversation on a subject, and have to censor evade to do it. You only live once dude, its best to live life without thinking of the consequences(Unless death, severe injury, or jail are on the list of possible consequences), be too careful in life and you won't ever have fun.
  15. Name:Yrjdrdt Style: I dunno, I guess anime Idea:A man looking into the mirror only to see a dark, evil looking, reflection of himself. Color: Just whatever looks best, it would have to be dark though for the correct effect. Size: Whatever works as long as I can use it on this forum. For text: Am I the only one that can see the dark reflection in the mirror?
  16. Why be the director when you can be the star? :P I personally aim for a job in video game design or animation, though something in architecture or archaeology would be awsome. Because then you'd be out of a job in probably less than a year. That would still be one awsome year. Why watch when you can experience it?
  17. Ok finally found the time to play it the other day, and I'm seriously regrettin putting it off for so long, this game is freaking AWSOME. It has got to be the best space RPG ever, even above Xenosaga, if you have ever played, .Hack the battle system is a LOT like that, though without the confusion of not knowing where your enemy is attacking you as well as not going through 50 different screens to get to your abilitys or items, you can take control of any character you choose in battle, give them all specific, yet simple orders, ect. One of the things I found best in it was that it has almost no loading times in it at all, when it says no loading times for all you can see, it means it, I can travel through an entire world without having to wait on loading once. Theres this mini game called the insectron, which I haven't exactly tried yet(I need 3k to get a license to play it and I had spent all my money already ). You also learn new moves by inserting different items into this revelation chart, as well as you can hunt monsters and earn points to go toward your hunter status, this game has so much in it that its hard to explain even half of it in one post, but this is definatly a must have rpg for all hard core RPGers. I also recommend getting the players guide to it if you have enough cash left over, it has a couple errors in it, but it definatly comes in handy if you want to get the most out of your game.

  19. Anyone else hear of them beginning to go away with age? An intresting fact: 70% of people reported having dÃÆÃâÃâéjÃÆÃâÃâàvu. never heard it before but it seems to have happened to me Same here, I used to get it weekly, but now I rarely get it at all.

You were saying women shouldn't have any rights because its "tradition". Sure you weren't exactly flaming, though its just about as bad.
  22. Red Steel, one of the games that came out with the Wii isn't exactly a "Kiddy game" is it?
  23. Just to point something out to you guys, there are some pretty big community clans on the official Runescape forums, not to try and advertise or anything, but the Death Rebels of Renegade clan(The clan I'm in) is the listed as the top non warring clan, its also been called the best overall clan on there in several lists, Crimson Hunters follow close behind in the non warring category.
  24. Whatever happenbed to seperation of church and state? The government shouldn't have any say in marriage whatsoever because its a religious ceremony. Don't you just love how the government breaks its own laws?
  25. Utter bologni I wish I still had that blissful ignorance. More on topic, I severly doubt the US is hiding aliens and such there, but I do believe they are hiding something they don't want other people to know about, otherwise they wouldn't keep the security so tight.
