The money is exactly why I didn't want the US to get involved. Our economy is already [cabbage] and now Bush is willing to spend even more money? I personally would have let Russia and Georgia fight it out. I would rather see my own country improve and another fall then to see my own country fall further into debt and another be safe for a while longer.

1. I don't care how long I live as long as I have fun living. Being condemed to a wheel chair and an oxygen tank at 90 years old doesn't sound like fun to me. I'd rather be dead. 2. The experience is different for everyone. I can't just come out and give you what you'll earn over the next few years and I just don't understand why you can't get that concept. The most I can tell you is that you'll be put in situations that will test your morals and will probably change them. Things will happen that will change your views on MANY subjects. Your brain will be able to grasp new concepts and see things in different ways. I can't just give you these things, they're earned over time. And that kid you're talking about, that's great stuff but not what I'm talking about. 3. I don't care. I have a short attention span, I'm extremely tired, and I just don't feel like argueing with you about whether or not you were bragging. 4. 1. Gratz. You truely do know something. Yes, they've both been proven to kill. But there's a nifty little thing called calculated risk. I'm not going to die because I went out and got a little messed up a week ago. I'm not going to die from the 3 cigarettes I smoked a few days ago. Also, you're going to die someday. Why not have some fun while you're still living? 2. This part makes me think you're not as smart as you keep saying. Luck has nothing to do with when you're born. I'm turning 18 in 2008, therefore I was born in 1990 not 1991. Math skills much? And the life experience. We don't all get the same experience. I've gotten some of mine, you don't seem to have gotten any of yours. You're 14 years old. The gov't doesn't even trust you to operate a vehicle without mommy and daddy around. While I hate to admit it, the gov't has some wisdom in it's terrible and corrupt ways. 3. Yes, you were acting as though you were better than us because you're smarter or something. I don't even care. Again, it doesn't matter if you're mentally capable or not. A 5 year old is capable of deciding whether or not he wants to drink the whiskey in the cabinet. A 5 year old is capable of knowing what a curse word is and that they shouldn't use them. So that's awesome that you're mentally capable of making important decisions, but there will be big changes in your future that will change what you think. When I was your age I was scared to death of getting an STD and I thought cigarettes were certain death. Look at me now. I'm cautious of STDs (safe sex kids) but I'm not scared of them. I smoke and I know there's a chance of me dieing from it, but I know there's also a chance of me living and enjoying it. Things will change for you in the next few years. You can sit here and deny it all you want, but we've gone through it! We know it happens! You shouldn't be sitting here rejecting what we're telling you. You should be embracing the valuable information. If you didn't want to get insulted, you shouldn't have asked for it. Also, your teenage years will change you, a lot. Those 3 years definitly make a difference.

Glad I wasn't the first to say this. I wouldn't have been so nice about it. I can say, for the first time since I joined in '04, I'm ashamed to be a part of this community. This is absolutely ridiculous. As Seph said, this site has a lot in common with 4chan these days and you guys are showing it more than ever in this thread. This used to be a great, accepting community and now it's full of hatred and immaturity. Shame on everyone who's acted so terribly :shame:

I have to agree. When I was young I couldn't leave my block. If I wanted to go to the playground near my old house (3 blocks away) my mom went with me. These days I see kids who are maybe 7 or 8 years old trying to cross main roads (35+mph, high traffic, poor drivers, etc). My mom would killed me herself before she let me attempt that as a kid..

I have trouble sleeping with the closet door open or any sort of light in the room. I used to specifically place a pillow to block my sight of my alarm clock. :P Yeah, I can't have noise or light period. I can handle it if there are other people around, but I Can't otherwise. Mainly my paranoia of someone breaking in and me not being able to get my rifle ready. I generally like noise when I sleep. I tend to crank the volume way up too so I can't hear anything around me. It almost makes me feel like I'm in a different world from everyone else. This might be why I hate getting out of bed in the morning :-k

1. Define "ruin my body". My body is nowhere near ruined. 2. Just because you can read faster and understand what you read better than most people my age, that doesn't mean you're capable of making the same decisions. That means that you can read faster and understand what you read better. If you're as smart as you say you are, I don't see how you couldn't grasp that concept. I have a lot more life experience than you and a lot less than people older than me. I'm more capable of making decisions than you would be (for the most part) and people older than me are more capable than me (in general). 3. You never said you didn't enjoy it. Don't yell at me because you're acting better than everyone.

Spending your summers studying. Earning high school credits before you get into high school. Bragging about your reading level. Yep, go ahead and say you're just preparing for your future. To the rest of the world, you're what we call a nerd. You're still young. You should be out having fun, breaking rules, and not worrying about the consiquences while people will still let you get away with [cabbage]. Trust me, I wish I would have had more fun when I could get away with stuff. I'm about to turn 18 and that means I could end up in prison for some of the [cabbage] I do. My parents told me they were okay with me drinking, yet they rarely drank themselves. My parents told me smoking is not okay, they have never smoked. My parents told me drugs are bad, they've never taken drugs (as far as I know). These days I drink, smoke, and dabble in the drug world. My friend's parents smoke and drink a ton. He won't smoke and he rarely drinks. You can't tell me just because some parents drinks in front of their kid, that kid is going to go out and start drinking. For me, it's about having fun. For some it may be the same, but for some it may just be a form of rebellion. Now I can't see a 5 year old having a reason to rebel, nor even having feelings like that yet but I'll bet you he swears because he heard some older kid do it and he thought that kid was cool.

Hmmph. "Intervene". As someone said well in the other thread, Russia probably had other things on their minds when they joined the fray. Chances are they were benefitting somehow. I don't think any country would want to go to war unless they're going to benefit from it. Russia definitly wasn't getting any positive PR from this.

I still don't understand how Superbowl is watched by like 40% of the entire american population when it's aired. Watching american football on TV must be the most boring thing you can use a television for. I don't understand how anyone watches the Superbowl either. I go to Superbowl parties but I only go to hang out with friends or whatnot.. I could care less about the game. Actually, the only sport I can stand to watch is basketball and the only time I watch that is if our high school team goes to state. :-k

Good stuff. Alcohol and pretty girls.. Great way to spend a night. Small update with my [cabbage]: Asked her out tonight. She didn't give me an answer but I found out she just got out of a [cabbage]ty relationship and whatnot (this is what happens when you don't talk for a year, you know nothing about what has happened :wall: ). She told me some stuff that made me very happy (though I'll keep it to myself) and I told her to sleep on it and let me know in the morning. Generally I would want an answer while we're having the conversation but I'm not looking to mess this one up again. I can be patient ;) Edit: Talked to her today and we're back together. :D

1. Weed makes things more funny 2. Pineapple Express is a special strain of weed they have in the movie. The entire movie is based around weed so it makes sense to me to get high before you see it. Do I need to go out and fight crime before I go see the dark knight, then? Cause I got this awesome costume lined up with a really catchy catchphrase to say when I stumble upon crime. Oh man, this is gonna be awesome. Yes, yes you should. :roll: Or maybe you're just an idiot.

Half Alive - Secondhand Serenade

I sleep depending on how I want to dream. I've found that sleeping on my back results in dreams directly related to things that are on my mind, sleeping on my stomache results in dreams that are out of this world/trippy/make no sense, and sleeping on my side will make a nice mix of reality and insanity. Generally I fall asleep on my stomache, toss and turn when the sun comes up and wake up on my back. Crazy [cabbage] happens in the time between :?
