  1. Haha my dad is a computer programmer as well (though he mostly does web design and search engine optimization now). Sucks when you're young because they know more about computers than you, but once you get older you tend to be more up-to-date on things than they are. I do graphic work for my dad now because he knows nothing about it :P
  2. i still doesnt work for me :( try a different site maybe. there should be tons that allow pdf uploads, and if there isnt just zip it and upload it as a zip http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LMKF97NU Zipped it up, should work now.
  3. I'm going to be voting for Obama this year. McCain is just looking like Bush to me and I'm by no means a fan of our current president.
  4. My parents have never put parental controls on my internet access. My dad knows the sites I go to and has no problem with them, even if they are porn. I've always liked having free roam of the internet. Sure, I've pulled in a lot of viruses in my earlier days but experience is a great learning tool.
  5. I'll usually skim through the first post. If the topic interests me, I might read the first post entirely. Then I skim through the first few posts, look for people I know are going to put up a decent comment, then glance through for idiotic posts, and eventually reply if I feel like it. If the first post/topic doesn't interest me at all, I'll probably just go back to the thread list and find something better.
  6. No matter how relaxed you think you are, your brain is going to get a little rush now and then (even if you don't feel it) and your pupils are going to dialate. You can only control your body to a certain extent. When you look and your gf look into each others' eyes, you get excited (again, even if you don't feel it). It's a natural reaction.

Yeah because thats chocolate or sweet binging. Maybe you don't think it's sweet. Don't hate on it before you try it.

I smoke to relieve stress. Stick with pen spinning. Better for your health.
  9. deloriagod replied to Ouchy's topic in Off-Topic
When I'm bored I just zone everything/everyone out and daydream. I'd rather not draw attention to myself by dropping my pens on the floor all the time.
  10. Schools hese days will suspend you for saying "[wagon]". You are only talking about an animal, but some idiot got offended and now your screwed. Eh, I can basically get away with saying whatever I want in school. Cursing isn't a big deal to most of my teachers.
  11. The same can be said about the exact opposite. I know quite a few people who avoid eye contact with those that they like. Exactly. Again it comes up for me this respect of personal space thing for me because I live in Finland. If you pass someone on the street, you do not look them in the eye unless you know them. In America it seems to be that you look them in the eye no matter what. So I have kind of lost the ability to judge how much eye contact is normal with anyone, with girls I just go for minimal. In America, we flirt too much. By the way, eye contact does not mean they're interested in you. It just means that they are paying attention to what you're saying. Lips for lust, eyes for ears. I agree that eye contact does not directly mean someone is interested in you, but there's something much more subtle that happens and you've probably never noticed it. When you look at someone you like or even talk to them, you probably get excited. Not aroused, don't get them confused. So when you're around them/talking to them, you're probably more excited than you would be normally. And when you get excited your pupils will dialate.
  12. Sorry about that guys. Let's see if it works this time... http://www.esnips.com/doc/53dc83dc-49cf-4704-864c-6da20e5a4e5c/BODYLA~1
  13. Half of America's population is rural (I think just under half, actually) or live in towns with less than a million people, including me Public transportation is next to nonexistent. If you'd like to walk the next to twenty miles I'll have to be traveling daily within a few weeks, be my guest. if that were the case.. I would just purchase a moped or something... a lot cheaper then paying for a car for those twenty miles BUT WHAT ABOUT ALL THE MONEY DRAIN THAT IS OVER VEHICLES?!?! Imo mopeds can be quite the money drain. My neighbor had one and the motor died within a year. That resulted in him needing to buy a new one. I'm going to look into getting a motorcycle once I move out on my own. Cheaper on gas and the engine shouldn't go to hell in no time.
  14. No training needed! There are instructions in/on the box! :o Haha nice guide Aaron. Though I will continue to feed the trolls, and you will continue to clean up the mess. That is until I see a picture of you in that maid outfit ;-)

  16. Now, I'm completely against drinking and driving. But you have to admit there is a difference between 1-2 beers and just straight up getting hammered. As a teenager, I don't have the kind of alcohol tolerance that a someone drinking in a pub would probably have. Since I don't feel much of anything off of a beer or two, I can say I would be comfortable riding with someone who has built up an alcohol tolerance and feels less than me from that. It's the irresonsible [wagon] who go in, get wasted on hard liqour, and decide they're ok to drive home that I can't stand.
  17. Yeah, it's really easy to see when your friends like someone. Even to the untrained eye, it's not difficult. It's more difficult to read someone you don't know very well.

Mlb trolls a lot anymore. He at least used to contribe to conversations a little bit.. :shame:
  19. Watch that commercial carefully. Remember the part where he spills the soda onto the carpet? Well if you watch, the soda leaks out from under the carpet square. Then the camera cuts to a close up of the guy for a few seconds, then brings the carpet back into the picture. But wait, there's no soda leaking out from under the carpet anymore and the guy hasn't started soaking it up yet. I thought those towels looked interesting but I figured there had to be a problem with them, which is why I watched that commercial so intently.
  20. Deleted. ~meol On topic: I think the should just get rid of black history month. People are not going to treat black people better because they're "informed" about the [cabbage] black people went through. They're going to be treated the same and people are going to be annoyed that they have to sit there and hear the same thing again every year.
  21. Rehosting asap. Check page 3.
  22. You guys seem to be fairly interested in body language lately. If someone can point me to a website where I can upload .pdf files, I would be more than happy to hook you up with a 148 page e-book on body language. I've read through most of it and it's quite interesting. :

If that made you cry you need to grow the [bleep] up. That's more or less a party song and should never have reached the radio. Fun at a dance, but not when I'm driving around. As far as the saddest song I can think of.. Perfect by Simple Plan. Always reminds me of how strained my relationship with my dad tends to be.
  24. They never work, my age group is quite at target now from Irish organizations to discourage underage drinking / smoking Via TV ads. The only thing I think when I see these ads is "hmmm, a couple beers with the lads would be good right now" or "I feel like a smoke". Seeing the anti-smoking ads doesn't discourage me, just makes me want a smoke  I agree very much so. Not so much the anti-alcohol ads though. I have to really feel like partying before I get to drinking. But when any of those stupid anti-marijuana/tobacco ads come on I just want to go smoke a cigarette or a bowl. I get tired of seeing money being spent on something that is causing, what society veiws as, negative actions. The "War on Drugs" is an utter failure and commercials are actually making kids want to get into those types of things. Wtf? Sorry to OP, not meaning to drag this off topic.
  25. A study showed that anti-drug/alcohol/tobacco ads actually work against themselves. Maybe I'll try to dig that up.. :-k
