Harrington
What are your favourite games that are based on a movie? Or perhaps it doesn't exist yet and you'd like to see it made? My favourite existing movie/game title is Knights of the Old Republic based on Star Wars.
Nadril
Knights of the old republic without a doubt. However, that technicly is based off of a movie franchise and not the movie its self. Still, I guess that counts.
Parabola
For every 1 in 1000 games based on movies, there is a good one. I think they should just save everyone the embarrassment and just not bother making games of movies. You KNOW that when a game comes out at the same time as the movie, it is going to be abysmal. The only good game from a movie that I can think of it Star Wars: Jedi Knight 2.
Lionheart_0
May sound surprising, but Kingdom hearts is one i'd consider being based off movies. I love it! Even if the Disney characters seem a bit childish, Disney characters are freaking awesome! Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Behave or I will send my Moose mounted Beaver launchers at you! Lionheart_0
KH isn't based off of movie at all O.o it just has characters from movies in it And each world follows some part of the movies story lines. Not to mention without the movies, the game wouldn't exist. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Behave or I will send my Moose mounted Beaver launchers at you! I think it fits into it's own category, and I don't want to put it in the "based off of a movie" category because games based on movies suck

Mr_Putter
For every 1 in 1000 games based on movies, there is a good one. That's a bit of an exaggeration. Most movie game's are just the people wanting more money (ex. All those CG movies that have a game where no game is warranted [Cars, Shrek, Happy Feet...They all have them for the obvious reason of money]). However there are actually a surprising amount of decent-to-exceptional games based on movies. Tron 2.0 Dark Forces Jedi Knight (+expansion) Jedi Knight 2 (+ Jedi Academy) Chronicles of Rid[bleep]: Escape from Butcher Bay Knights of the Old Republic Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords Now, unless there's atleast 7000 movies with games... Point is, a good game is a good game. Most games based on movie are only bad because of their limited time constraints, bad source material and no real reason for being. Movies can make great games if the devs actually put the time in.

crimsonking
I think the main problem with games based off of movies is that you already know how the story is going to go, thus nothing really exciting happens for those playing it. I think the only ones I've enjoyed are Aladdin for SNES and LOTR:Battle for Middle Earth for the PC. I would probably like Knights of the Old Republic, but I haven't really had the chance to get it yet. i dont think ive played any are there any movies made from games? all i can think of is the Doom movie Mario Bros, Final Fantasy Spirits Within(Which didn't really have a FF feel to it at all), Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, Pac Man Christmas(Don't ask). Theres also a Resident Evil movie coming up. ~^v^~Ex-Leader of the Divine Flames of Redemption~^v^~

indy500fan
i cant believe no-one has mentioned goldeneye  That is a good example. The only other ones I can think of are games based off the Star Wars universe. KOTOR 1 obviously is first, some others that were good are KOTOR II, Battlefront I and II, Rebel Assault I and II, X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter, Yoda Stories (hey, I enjoyed it), Dark Forces, Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike. Mr_Putter
You guys gotta play the Rid[bleep] game. Even people who don't like the movies really like the game because it's amazing. And for people like me who do like the movies, it makes the movies even better by expanding on the Rid[bleep] character.
megakiller32
I think most movie games suck. But there are a few good ones, and i liked lord of the rings ones. \ Even though it has no movie, James Bond-Everything or Nothing is my favourite James Bond game. And From Russia With Love was god-awful. Quit Runescape 30th May 2006.Thanks to Hawkxs for my signature :)

It wasn't as bad as most movie games, or most console ports, but it was still pretty poor in my opinion.
