A MAJOR, NEEDED Mining update

I'm not trying to expand the mining guild or any of that nonsense (but I DO support the idea, it's just a little, extream. I mean, rune Ore is supposed to be rare, addy ore is right outside, and there are plenty of places to mine iron. And the other ores? C'mon, why would you need those at 60+ Mining?)

Here's the idea, recently (ok, not THAT recently, just a couple of...years? months?) a new style of rock has taken over RuneScape. I LOVE the old-fashioned rocks. (Those 3-4 mini-rocks in the ground, where EACH rock is the color of the ore.) The new rock (one big chunk with the color ore dripping out like slime) is EXTREAMLY ANNOYING!!!!!!!

People who cannot see well in the dark will have heaps of trouble mining iron. And with many ores you cannot easily see when the ore respawns. With some ores, this is not a problem, but with almost all ores, it is.

Here's another thing, why has Jagex changed the rock style in some areas, but not in others? I've noticed the areas changed are places where people do not normally go to to mine. (wilderness, rimmington). But this is where many powerminers mine, why should they (we) suffer just because we are in an isolated area?

I can see no reason why Jagex would even CONSIDER this idea. It just makes no sense what-so-ever. I see no benefits, only negatives. They are hard-to-see, and is harder to distinguish between ores, and not to mention they look pathetic.

So I ask you, Jagex, please switch the rocks back to the original style.

Thanks for reading, please post here if you support/disagree/ or know why ON EARTH JAGEX WOULD CHANGE THE ROCKS!!!

Reading over this, I notice that this might be more of a rant, if any mod considers this to be more rant than a suggestion, please move it.

i think the old rocks look a whole heap better and are much easier to tell wat ore they are, the prospect option only needed to be used by new players who hadnt seen it before

but now its just annoying trying to tell wat ore it is

jagex isnt going to change it back, but i hope they do :|

I think they changed the rocks due to autoers. The old rocks were easier for the autoers to see what ores were in it. That's just a wild guess.

Yes but as long as the autoer knows what rock holds what, it's useless

Yup, but it probably made all the auto-miners not work until the hacking-programmers fixed it. A temporary solution, that's exactly the kind of thing jagex would do, now wouldn't they? hahaha \'

well, if you can remember all updates when those new rocks came..

all was a graphic update from a city, so for example when varrock is going to be updated those mining rocks south of varrock become like these to!

It's hard to see certain rocks for certain people, not fair to people who can't see well, like me.

Even so, it puts some of us at a disadvantage in certain conditions.

I understand it makes RuneScape more realistic, but if you want to make something better, it shouldn't be at the disadvantage of others.
